Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your acknowledging the central location of our property and the efficiency of our staff. The surrounding is indeed quite noisy, however with the recent dramatic event that occurred to the King of Thailand, no loud music or clubs were able to operate normally.... There is a fridge in every room, as indicated in the amenity list of the room, and no TV, as indicated also in the same list. On behalf of the management team, we apologize if any of our team member appeared to be rude to you. We also take good note of your analogy :) At last I wish you had mentioned in your comment what you do consider to be overpriced as a room rate, since at this period the room rate was not above 30 Euros. We hope to great you again someday and be able to fix all the point you highlighted in your review in order for you to enjoy a smooth and flawless experience in Koh Samui. As indicated on Hotels.com website during the dates of your stay, the restaurant downstairs was under renovation so our future guest could have an even more memorable experience by enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner within our premises. Note that renovation was only taking place from midday to 9 pm. When our staff checked on you after we granted you a free upgrade to a Deluxe room, you did not mention any negative points or any kind of complain, so we are quite surprise to read that you had such a wrong experience with the hotel. Again on behalf of our team members we apologize for failing your expectations and hope you will allow us to provide you the best stay possible if you decide to stay in Koh Samui again. Our location is very central in Chaweng and surrounded by the most popular night clubs on Koh Samui, as it reads on our website as well as it lists that there are renovations taking place. As for your room key, which is made of metal, that was snapped in the door lock of the correct room for the first time at our property, we felt a need to investigate a little bit. We have to replace the door knob as an expense to the hotel. As reported, you returned to your room at a late hour so we felt it necessary to ask you personally what happened. If you felt like a criminal that was never the intention. Of course we will check the CCTV's as a follow-up procedure. We take a security deposit upon check-in for the key. If the key is lost or broken typically the deposit is not returned. Which is why you were asked by multiple staff to recount your story. We make sure every guest is treated fairly, which is why we took the time to review your situation instead simply charging you the cost of the key.
