편안하고 깨끗하고 친절한 호텔

중앙역에서 거리가 가까워 시내 여행에 편리함. 가격에 비해 위치가 좋지만 전반적인 호텔 ㅅ설은 보텅 수준. 혼자 묵기에는 큰 불편함이 없지만 가족 여행에는 다소 좁음. 일인 비지니스 여행에는 추천할만 함.

Short mid-week break
15/20 minute walk from Centraal Station or short bus (43) ride. 1960s former Naval Officers’ Accomodation may lack the imposing aspect of some modern hotels but my room was very clean and comfortable with en-suite walk-in shower. All that was needed for a short break in the city. Staff polite and helpful even offering to post my postcards!

The staff is what makes this property a great value. From the front desk staff to those working in the restaurant and bar, they are the nicest and most helpful people! We arrived early and were able to store our luggage very easily. During our stay the staff were very helpful in directing us to those restaurants and locations where the locals would go, which made our experience so much better. The room were very good for what you are paying for. Nothing fancy, but a great place to sleep after full day of experiences. I would highly recommend this place for those looking for a more local experience while still being able to easily access the more popular locations of Amsterdam.

Friendly and value for money.
We really enjoyed staying here. It was a 10-15 walk to the central station in Amsterdam but we enjoyed the walk looking at the neighbourhood. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly.

Great property with good staff and beautiful location. Only concern was that room got very hot during the day and there of no Air Conditioning.

Eine unkomplizierte und locker geführte Pension wie auch Restaurant. Wir waren an heissen Tagen vor Ort (29°C). Daher waren die Zimmer überhitzt. Die vorhandenen Ventilatoren brachten kaum Abkühlung. Abends viele badende Besucher auf der Wiese und am Kanal, die etwas laut waren.

The hotel is definitely not 5 star but has pretty much everything you need apart from aircon. Staff were excellent. Restaurant/bar was good. Surrounding park area was lovely for walking as sits on harbour area. The downside was lack of public transport in the immediate area. We had to use uber to get into the city each time.

The hotel is a gem. It is a former place to stay for naval officers and is in the 1960's style, with little points to the past all around the hotel. Our room was a 3rd floor corner room, it was a decent enough size, period decor, decent bathroom and a great view across the parks and city. The rooms don't have air conditioning but the windows open wide and every room has fans. There is a bar and indoor and outdoor dining. There is a pool table, occasional live music and a cool, retro style music system. The prices are reasonable and although I never had any food, it looked plentiful and delicious. There is access to a swimming area as well as gardens with games areas and play areas.

Ilmastoinnin puute varmasti helteellä ongelma, matkamme aikaan oli hieman viileää ja tuulistakin. Huone on pieni. Hotellikissa oli hyvin tuttavallinen meille, mutta ei ole varmasti häiriöksi vaikka ei niin kissaihminen olisikaan. Kaikenkaikkiaan edullisimmasta päästä, kuitenkin lähes täyden palvelun (ja hyvän sellaisen) paikka, jonne voisimme majoittua toistekin Amsterdamissa vieraillessamme!

Eine Pension mit Geschmack 😀 Es ist alles liebevoll in dem alten Stil gehalten und erhalten. Süße Pantry's auf den Etagen, wo man sich Tee/Kaffee zubereitet kann. Zimmer, ein schönes Eckzimmer mit Blick in den Hafen, Schreibtisch, Doppelbett, renoviertes Bad. Leckeres Frühstück im Restaurant, was man sich zusammen stellen kann. My first impression of Pension Homeland as I approached the property was not good. It looked shabby, but inside it is very nice. The rooms are small but comfortable. The staff was exceptional in helping us get a room early at 9:00 a.m. so we could catch some sleep after a long flight. Every employee there was friendly, helpful, and spoke English. For the price, it was a good value compared to other hotels and located in a convenient area.

Very pleasant stay. Super popular lounge/restaurant with live music right on the water every afternoon and evening. Bus # 22 about 5 minutes away, about a 5-min drive to Central Station. 20 minute walk otherwise and very pleasant. Small room, just perfect, with common area on each floor stocked with kettle and tea/coffee. Highly recommend.

Greatest place to stay in Amsterdam
We stayed at Pension Homeland as part of our tour of Europe with friends and family. This is a great hotel that is located in a great spot next to the maritime museum and in front of the water. The staff are the greatest that we came across all of Europe. The hotel has its old charm, really a place that will make you relax with the atmosphere. There is nothing modern there, which says with the name of the hotel itself. That is where its beauty lies, you will immediately love the place if you are on vacation. The place is full of locals who come to the restaurant, to swim in the water in front of the hotel. Unlike other hotels we stayed, you feel like you are a local because everyone around you is local. It is a completely different experience that you must stay and feel what we felt.

Perfect spot near the river which is great to walk by. The Amsterdam Central train station is a 25 minute walk which didn't feel that far since the river gives a beautiful view. Definitely recommend staying here and they have a cat in the lobby area!

Kind to solo travelers
Excellent. Clean and simple. Building’s history as a naval base is unique and retrofitting is fun. Slight walk from city center, but right next to a neat spot to picnic and swim. Hotel brewery/bar brings in many locals. Mimi and Aurther were the best servers I’ve had in all of Europe. Kind to solo travelers.

We had a good stay here. The location is a bit of a distance from the heart of Amsterdam. The hotel has no air conditioning so the room got quite warm. They gave us a corner room which had a beautiful view of the park and the water. We really appreciated that.

Very clean & comfortable. Quite setting on the water. Food/brewery at the hotel is wonderful. Make sure to have dinner there. Nice grounds to walk around & near the Maritime Museum. Bus stop outside hotel area. Short ride to central station & downtown Amsterdam. Walking into Amsterdam about 30-40 min. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent location, Friendly, unique, clean, and heart. Location: Bike by everything is super close. By foot it is a 20 min walk to the main market and 30min to the train station. It is on the water so the air is fantastic at night and quite in the evening. The hotel is a former Navel officer quarters and there is a lot of green gardens and places to relax and sit outside. The view or the harbor is worth 100 euros. Friendly: The guy at that checked me in was really kind and you can tell he loves his job and the hotel. Unique: The furniture is from the 60-70’s and its very functional and stable. If you like places that have all new furniture or the hotel factory look then his is not for you. In the middle of my floor was access to a kettle, cups, and tea bags with many varieties. It’s a nice touch for the mornings and evenings. Clean: the shower and bathroom is Modern and very clean. The only thing i was was different would be the shower splash guards. They should have installed more. It’s hard to take a shower without water sprayed to the bathroom sink. Heart: there is a ton of heart and passion for this hotel and I am so happy to find a non corporate cookie cutter place with a successful business model. It’s a lot like Amsterdam… I little ahead of the rest of the world.

Just about perfect
Great hotel with the feel of a hostel (in a good way). Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant and bar are cozy. They be their own beers and have very good food. Location is about perfect, far enough away from the hustle to be quiet, but still walking distance. Also, right by the bus stop. Hotel cat is a bonus.
