ummm NO!
The couple who own the hotel were so kind and wonderful I would be giving this place a horrendous review otherwise. My heart breaks for this couple who are trying to make a living off this decrepit property. I pray they didn't spend their life savings buying this thinking they were purchasing an "idyllic" hideaway like we thought we were getting. The place is run down and would require enormous amounts of cash to even bring it up to standard! I would never stay here again. We did not shower because the towels were thin and grey we couldn't bring ourselves to use them. The beds were clean and the place was clean, except for the chairs which we could not sit on! This couple though I love them. Kindness plus! Sadly they drive a Toyota SUV late model, so I believe they put more money into their vehicle than they do their property. Like I said it would take millions. Hugs to the couple, but don't stay here!

Mr and Mrs Patel are wonderful! The room was just what I needed it it had a refrigerator and had a microwave it had a big screen TV flat screen and it had all kinds of cable channels. The only thing that I could see that they could and and I don't know if it would bring their rating up or not but one of those little hair dryers, and a little coffee machine little coffee maker and and possibly a little iron. And besides this this is an excellent place to stay. Thank you so much for your hospitality and your help in a terrible weather situation. It was very much appreciated. God bless

Great eco friendly budget hotel
Great little hot spot to stay at. Couldn't find anything close to corpus. Have this nice cozy place to stay. Good budget hotel. Great staff ! Thanks

VERY CLEAN, inexpensive and comfortable stay.
Family vacation (in Alice?) OR a picky partner? This may not be the place for you. Need an inexpensive place to crash for a couple of softball games or for a working overnight? The Sunset is what you're looking for. It was very clean, everything worked great and the rooms have been recently remodeled. Mr. Patel (owner) personally called me the morning of my stay and had the AC on early so the room was cool when I arrived. If I have one complaint, it's that the bath towels could stand to be replaced. Other than that, it was a great stay for the price.

Only stayed one nite. It was pleasant. The place is rather old fashion but clean and comfortable. The owners were very nice and made sure we didn't need anything. Would stay there again.

I was only there briefly, just to shower and sleep. But the owners were very accommodating and very friendly. I’d stay there again for sure!

Our drivers stay was terrible. No heating, no painting on the outside. Our driver was very disappointed.

This is my second time staying here and its as pleasant as the first. Location is great.. its quiet and comfortable.. will continue staying here when I'm in town.

Needs serious clean up
First we found out they would not accept direct pay through Hotels.com and we had to give them CC # over the phone. we reserved two rooms, one of the rooms was too filthy to sleep in and we did not use it

Outside looks like a shack. Inside table lamp has holes. Bedsheet cigarette burns. And its a nonsmoking room.Pillows are flat. Shower curtain has mildew. Queen size bed feels like a full size and is super firm. Toilet bowl has dirty rims of filth. U can't even enjoy the tv with the loud window unit. Tile floor clean and room clean but talk about unusable hand-me-downs furniture and even one waste basket that says Holiday Inn .

Looks can be deceiving
From the look of the motel outside you would be sceptical but once you open the door inside it's great. Our room everything inside was new TV, mini fridge, microwave all nice and clean. The restroom everything was new and clean as well. The hotel staff was very nice whenever I checked in around 8pm. Overall was not disappointed with my stay and I would recommend anyone wanting a reasonable priced spot to stay at to look up this location.

Nice, inexpensive hotel
This is a no Frills motel. It's old motel, the room had been remodeled, it needs a new chair though. At 1/2 the rate of other places around, not a bad to out your head down for a night $61 per night (that's the total payment - tax includes $55 a night)

While the outside of the hotel left a lot to be desired, the rooms were recently renovated and the owners were very courteous. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We would stay here again.

Excellent value
We arrived late and the hosts were very gracious and friendly. The room and bathroom were newly remodeled and everything was clean and tidy. Convenient and a very good value for the money.

We got to hotel pretty late. Wasn't sure about the area but ended up being a good stay. Staff was very friendly and informative about good places to eat.
