It is an old fashioned hotel which we liked. The beds are very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was good. However, there was an over powering deodorant odor that was not pleasant-and the carpets looked original to the building. For the price, it was good. They had a nice continental breakfast in the morning. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lisa P

Mold and humidity with old carpeting and dated furniture. Staff was kind and nice but they now where they are working regarding room conditions. The odor hits right when you walk in.

Nice but a little updating needed
The hotel is quiet and clean, however, it lacks a level of maintenance that would encourage you to return. The furniture is in poor repair with the edges worn and exposed, in common areas there are mounting clips from previous artwork still in walls, painted over, and the lobby pegboard unit is too utilitarian for a nice foyer. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable, but it would be nice to have an ice machine on each floor, and recycling bins in each room. The waffles were delicious as was the orange juice, so our staff was pleasant overall.

Hotel works for one night stay Close to outlets and resturants. Really needs to be vaccuumed in hallways. Breakfast nothing to speak of. Basic coffee and bagels, waffles and boiled egg.

Our trip had an unexpected turn, we had a Tropical storm roll through while we were there. No problems, the staff were so very friendly and helpful. They gave us suggestions on places to go to eat and always told us to drive safe and have fun. Would stay there again.

Woman who checked us in was rude. She was also rude the next time we saw her. Room smelled musty but improved over time. Nice balcony but it is next to a loud road. Very quiet room. Room was nicely decorated and comfortable. We ran out of towels and it took over 24 hours to obtain new ones. Then we had to go downstairs to pick up the towels and that rude woman supplied us with clean ones: We received one hand towel and three wash cloths. Pool did not look clean. Despite these issues, we did enjoy the hotel. Other personnel were nice and helpful.

The front desk was friendly and cordial. The hotel is in serious need of updating. The carpeting needed replacing. The pool has mold and the umbrellas by the pool were in broken but not discarded. At breakfast, my Husband used one of the creamers and it was way past the date of expiration. We would not stay there again.

This inn could be a 5 🌟 easily! Spacious rooms, comfy beds, helpful staff, convenient location… but it needs help with carpets, which I think contribute largely to the odor. Our room was on the ground floor and it smelled musty and was very damp. There were mosquitoes in our room when we arrived.

I really felt the bathroom needed updated. The shelf beside the toilet is really in the way. I bumped it almost every time I used the toilet. Tub is not wide enough to have a shower curtain and a grab bar unless you are very skinny.

Old property with great pictures not reflecting true condition. Old carpet, furniture, tile, beds, pillows,water pressure, tub, etc. Good location on highway. Stay if you need cheap.

Good enough for a night
The hotel was fine - the rooms were essentially clean, the beds were comfortable, and the value for the price of a room was good. The breakfast area is nice and there was a good selection. The only thing we did not care for was the lack of hospitality when we checked in.

The Heritage Inn is a comfortable, affordable, place to stay in the middle of Rehoboth Beach. It is close to the outlets, shopping, many restaurants and the beaches. The only reason I rated it 4 stars is because of the musty odor in the rooms. The room was clean, but could use some updating.

Beds are comfortable but pillows could be better. The bath towels were soft. Rooms were clean, staff is very friendly & helpful. The pool is a good size, clean & water was so refreshing. Breakfast choices could be better, need some hot items, but still good. Just an excellent stay overall.

Overpriced
It is a nice place with outside pool. Room is spacious but old furniture. We paid $440/night plus tax for Sat night, 9/2-3, free contiinental breakfast only.

They need to step it up
I was called 4 times before arriving and asked what time I will arrive. None of their business. I was on a road trip, driving, ignoring my phone and trying to enjoy myself and the hotel was already paid for. Then when I arrived at 8:30pm which is not very late, I felt like a teenager who was being attacked by the person at the front desk. She reiterated sarcastically that she “knew who I was because she called me already”. My body language showed that I was annoyed and tired while she was explaining the rules of the facility and I started to walk away when she said, I’m not done yet! Then I nodded and half listened to the spiel about not having housekeeping unless we request it and to leave linens and towels outside the room if we need them washed. I know this is common at most hotels since covid, but if so they should take that lack of service off the price. The breakfast was first come first served and nothing to write home about. Coffee was bad. Other than that, close to some shops and restaurants and short drive to the beach made up for it.

To begin with, the pictures online is very deceptive. Elevator is poorly maintained. The breakfast should not be included in the fees, because you cannot serve boiled eggs, bagels, cream cheese, cereal and waffles as breakfast. Who does that. I will make sure that no one that I know visit this hotel. My room was not cleaned. The gym has only a treadmill and dumbbells with no bench which was a surprise to me. I really sympathies with the workers listening to all the complains from the guest which I witnessed. This hotel is a one star. I really would not visit this hotel any more, my wife and kids were so upset.
