Mediocre, not as nice as the pics look
A couple of friends and I had rooms here for several days last October. The rooms themselves are much more run-down than the pictures show. Reasonably clean, but could be improved and the walls and furniture are quite worn. The room is large, with plenty of space for luggage, but the bathroom is very small, so everything gets wet when you shower. The breakfast was not at all suited to westerner guests and tended to run out of food quite early. Location is good, near the Shwedagon, restaurants, malls. Some people might not feel comfortable walking around the immediate neighborhood but I knew it was fine. The staff front desk are friendly and helpful. I stayed in another hotel nearby which was much better for $2 dollars more.

Reasonably priced hotel for the comfort provided. Good area but the side lane on which the Hotel is located is not so great. Breakfast & service is average.

Situated the heart of a fish market
Location-When I read the reviews that said “it’s near the market & there are a lot of local restaurants” - I didn’t think people were being overly literal! I thought this hotel was something like Mongkok to Hong Kong! It turns out that it’s really in the middle of a stinky vegetable/fish/meat street market! The surrounding restaurants are mostly “street eateries/street stall food vendors”. If you’re looking for affordable & don’t mind a rugged location - you may like this hotel! If your taste is a bit more refined - stay away! You’ll always feel like you’re in danger here. The location is really not for the faint hearted. While it’s relatively close to the Shwedagon Pagoda - note that the Pagoda may be reached from classier but inexpensive venues. Try the new hotels around Sule Street perhaps which offers scenery, & more refined shopping & dining options. Staffs-Mix if helpful & lazy. A little language barrier though. One particular who stood out was that human lamp post whose always in the breakfast dining area who just kept looking in a mean way. Front desk staffs were helpful, they allowed us to do an early check-in. However, when we checked out 5:00AM, we were shocked to be charged for a bottle of water that we didn’t consume. Anyway it was only $1.30 so we just paid (too early for a debate!) Majority of the day-shift front desk staffs & bell boys are great. Room-Okay. Small toilet. Bring towels + slippers! Both are offered but are dirty. They reuse slippers!

Not a 3 star hotel
This is purely a budget hotel, definitely nowhere close to the standards of a 3 star hotel. The service is poor, breakfast is horrible, rooms are small and smelly. The towels inside the room smell too. Area is a not great too for walking. It is inside a residential area but did not feel very safe. Definitely a budget hotel, will not recommend this hotel personally.

An unexpectedly pleasant stay
I never expected to find that Hotel Accord is located in the busy neighborhood I seldom visited. Nonetheless, the place has given me a pleasant stay experience. I will definitely recommend this place to visiting friends in the future.

They didn't provide any breakfast to all tenants regularly sometimes just provides an hour or less. Their bed sheets are stained! Wi Fi network sometime works or slower than cellphone networks!

What a Gem!
Absolutely loved being here. Very sad to leave. Staff couldn't do enough to help I'm anything. Room very comfortable. Loved the location! Walking distance to many restaurants and shopping centres.

Great hotel
Great hotel, although the neighborhood is a bit sketchy. We had a very large room with a separate bedroom for my daughter...almost unheard of in Asia. The staff was super nice and helpful too. They helped us set up a sightseeing itinerary to maximize our time and minimize heat stress. Great breakfast too. Definitely recommend

Decent clean hotel at a convenient location
The hotel is near everything I wanted to go. Close to downtown but it was not too difficult to get out of town either. The room is minimalist but it is very clean and well maintained which I am very satisfied with. I didn't have chance to try their breakfast since there were a lot more attractive options around it. Staff is friendly and efficient. The internet is good. They have their generator so I got AC even when entire neighborhood was under dark spell of outage. Overall, I would recommend to anyone.

modern hotel close to Shwedagon pagoda, not center
This is a clean, modern hotel close to the pagoda, but not much else. We had a suite room - large and nice. Breakfast could do with some improvement - limited options and what's offered isn't that good. Poor coffee, but Nescafe available. Good for a day or two if you're in Yangon mainly for the pagoda, otherwise you might want to find something closer to downtown.

Nothing really special. Didn't like the environment of the hotel. They tried to do their best but think that they are a 5 stars hotel which is far to be the case. Food and laundry services are overcharged. No much choice for food. Noisy.

Great new and clean hotel in good location. Staff very polite and happy to assist all the time. Walking distance to Shwedegon pagoda and local markets. They were kind enough to upgrade us on the first night. The only concern is they don't have international calling facility which is not good enough as we had a family member serious and had to rush out of Myanmar asap but couldn't make calls

A pleasant stay that we all enjoy
I was very surprise that the family room not only have two rooms / beds, but also two toilet and showers as well. The room is very clean and we love the cool air-con. Breakfast is fair, it's within walking distance to nearby shopping centre, the only flaw is the water temperature and pressure is not stable.

Hotel was fine. Pretty new with nice finishes. Our aircon was having problems but they fixed it quickly. The area is good for restaurants and shopping. Places are close by. The staff was helpful when we asked them for things. Overall a pretty nice stay.
