Nice view !!
This hotel is located right in front of a beach. So if u go to this hotel on summer, it will be great ! Although I didn't swim in that beach due to our schedule, if i go there again, I wanna swim.. Also the people were very kind and the they are quite fast.. But, there isn't a parking lot.. So We should look for a parking place for some minutes..

Nice hotel, good location. We used the Gozo transit system which is good but infrequent. Weather too cold and windy to swim but bay is right by hotel so ideal in warm weather. Small sandy beach. Nice restaurant nearby. Staff are very friendly and breakfast was excellent.

Check in was quite smooth. We were allowed to bring the car right to the front door. Check out we were given an extra 30 mins since we were scuba diving that morning with Calypso dives.

We stayed for 2 nights during which time the room wasn't cleaned, although they disputed this!!!! Otherwise a very good location with plenty of bars and restaurants.

Lovely hotel in an excellent position overlooking the harbour and bay, all the staff were super friendly and helpful and really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect and the food was delicious thank you

Very good location. Polite staff. Beds uncomfortable. Rooms starting to look a little shabby especially bathroom. Towels rough. Very poor lighting in bedroom especially over dressing table/desk for us ladies although pleased to see there was at least something with a mirrow and easy accessible sockets!

Lovely hotel in many ways but could be better
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Calypso. The location right next to the sea and our diving centre was perfect for us. The room was really comfortable and quiet and we slept very well. We enjoyed the pool and bar on the roof and all the staff were really helpful and friendly. The only things that let it down slightly for us were the shower (not very powerful at all) and the breakfast. The breakfast offered plenty of variety and choice but just lacked a bit of quality (e.g fruit juices weren’t fresh but tasted like concentrate, scrambled egg not fresh) Would stay here again but it wouldn’t take much to make the shower and breakfast better which would greatly improve the hotel for us personally.

Old hotel with nice view
The room was very basic, old style but big and had a balcony and a nice view to the bay. Generally the building seemed deteriorating and could do with a renovation. The breakfast was disappointing. The orange juice tasted like water. Fresh fruit were already over around 9am. The front desk was not welcoming of any questions. All in all I would not come again.

In a good position by the sea within easy reach of bars and restaurants. Breakfast not as good as it used to be pre Covid.

Amazing location. Can not beat it. Rather old run down hotel tho. Needs a refub and a change in matess and bedding. Room size and balcony are great.

jolie facade hôtel assez haut en étage pour la baie. Donc vue imprenables sur la baie, vue du toit ou se trouve la piscine. Piscine pas très grande mais beaucoup de transat. Pour la chambre cela fait vacances ce n'est pas du mobilier luxueux mais suffisant. Bonne surface avec table et chaises dans la chambre en plus du balcon. Restaurant pas très cher mais on peut trouver mieux. Le point le plus mauvais est le petit déjeuner ou la qualité n y ai pas.

A stress-free Christmas break
All in all it was a relaxing & quiet short break. We had half board, because we had eaten at the restaurant before. The dinner didn't disappoint, in particular the Xmas eve menu: superb!! The set menu was equally good & so was breakfast. Compliments to the chef & his crew. Although the room was comfortable, we found it rather dimly-lit. There was only ONE electrical power point, so to charge the phone, I had to remove the plug for the kettle! The shower knob was stuck, so I had baths instead. The reception offered to change the room, which was nice. Nevertheless, it's a good place for short breaks & meals at the La Perla Restaurant

Good hotel
Hotel ideally placed on the bay, and our room had a bay view. The rooms (we had a standard twin double) are large with lots of space. The bathroom is fully functional. Disappointed about the swimming pool on the roof: looked much bigger on the publicity/website photos but you cannot really swim in it (a length is swam in less than 3 seconds!); it's really to cool yourself but not to swim.

On the whole a convenient stay
A convenient hotel in marsalforn, very clean and practical. Renovation in bathroom is much needed although everything worked well. Staff are foreigners who are were very friendly but struggle when coming to understand at least basic english.

close to Marsalforn Bay
The hotel is right across the bay which is good as the pool is nothing close to the picture and very busy due to covid-19 restrictions. I would suggest paying a little extra for bayview if one wishes to make good use of the balcony.

won't stay in Calypso Hotel again.
The management did not inform us that road works were taking place, therefore we could not enter comfortably in the hotel with a stroller. Inside smell of drainage and bed not comfortable at all. Staff were helpful.

I liked the location of the hotel, the breakfast and the room. What I didn't like was the quality of the water in the room and even in the tea during breakfast. I don't think that the water was treated enough for drinking.
