White lion in Siberton
Very friendly locals from as soon as we drove up the side road. Highly recommend for room and food, 10/10 Room was great with bathroom and sitting room on ground floor, bathroom very spacious eith bath and very powerful seperate shower cubicle. With large double bed upstairs. Can’t fault staff at hotel at all, from checking in, to service at bar and restaurant . Very friendly and accommodating. Dinner was lovely, chicken Kiev was huge and lovely and the steak and ale pie was probably the best pie I have ever had full of juicy and well cooked meat. Prices in restaurant very reasonable. Bar prices also good and a wide selection of lager, ales and cider. Thanks to everyone at the white lion, we will return. Shout out also to the lay preacher who stopped for a chat whilst going to the church to lock up, what a lovely man.

Great Place to Stay
A lovely stay in really nice room. My only minor criticism is that if you are tall the ceiling is really low, but there is little the owners can do about that. The staff were wonderful and we did love the room inspite of the ceiling. Food was really good too.

Hampshire Downs at its finest
Absolute gem of a find in a beautiful part of Hampshire we only live 50 mins away but where at an event at the local Hambledon Vinyand did not want to drive home - so glad we made that decision and returning in July and will be a drive out to eat place in the future

Great little find
Very nice place to stay, was here for business but definitely a nice destination for a getaway, I would return with my wife. Unexpectedly the double room was effectively a mini suite, with its own lounge, was impressed to have a good size shower and bath in the bathroom. Everything was clean, the staff were friendly and the food was very tasty!

A disappointing stay
We had just one night here over the Coronation bank holiday weekend. Pretty location, with a church next door and lovely surrounding countryside. The room was very small but that wasn't the issue - it was more about the cleanliness or rather lack of it. Scuff marks on the walls, cobwebs around the room. Even the drawers and bottom of the wardrobe were not clean so we chose not to use these. The floor in the room was particularly dirty, as was the entrance hall. There were complimentary toiletries and small bottles of water, plus a hairdryer and iron/ironing board provided. Staff were courteous and gave us top-ups for the tea/coffee making tray, plus fresh milk. The bedding was clean and the bathroom towels were thick and fluffy. However, the towels had a greasy (pub kitchen) smell to them. Our evening meal in the pub was good. Breakfast wasn't as enjoyable. We didn't raise any concerns during our stay as we knew it was a flying visit. But we certainly wouldn't stay here again.

Highly recommended!
I was very pleasantly surprised to learn that the room was 2 floors - lounge and bath/shower downstairs and bedroom upstairs. The bathroom was very spacious with plenty of toals, soap, shampoo, conditioner etc. Bonus point for having an iron and ironing board in the room. Everything was wonderfully clean. The free wifi was plenty fast enough for me to get some work done with, handy it was there as i had no mobile internet signal (phone signal was good enough to make calls on though) The pub itself was lovely. Staff were friendly and the beer went down a treat. Considering the breakfast was a fairly cheap add-on i was expecting continental but not only did i get offered cereals etc i also had a really nice full english. All in all a great stay, i will definitely be staying here again for my next visit down that way!

Great Room, Great Food, Great Stay
We had a very nice one night break at The White Lion. Our room was comfy, decorated very nicely and good size bathroom. Breakfast was very tasty and all in all we had a lovely time. We ate in the restaurant too and the food was absolutely delicious. All appeared to be freshly prepared on site and was of a very high quality. Staff are very friendly too. There's some lovely walks around and about, especially down the old tramline nearby.

Fabulous accommodation
Absolutely fantastic service and food. The evening meal was sorted, great home cooked food at good prices. Mark & Wendy really went the extra mile to make our stay special. Great room excellent base for a couple of days if touristing in the area

Warm and welcoming
Friendly, efficient and very comfortable. Lovely hypnos bed, good quality bed linen and having seperate living room made the whole experience very relaxing. Very hearty breakfast was served at our convenience by a lovely lady who was welcoming and chatty plus gave us helpful directions to our next destination. Highly recommend.

All good or very good apart from noisy cellar chiller on during night which kept my wife awake and excessively bright emergency exit lights which kept me awake- great. Not feeling as though we had a restfull stay at all

Excellent place to stay
I stopped in room 3 which was very roomy with a downstairs sitting area and the bedroom upstairs. Recently decorated ans in excellent condition. Staff at the pub were very friendly. There was a little noise from people chatting in the beer garden area but that died down fairly early. Overall a great stop over.

A little gem
Modern, spotlessly clean accommodation in the converted stable block of a very popular traditional pub set in a beautiful part of the world. No need to drive anywhere to eat - the Sunday roast was exceptional. Quality bedding - slept like a log. Will be my first choice in future for this area and for miles around.

Great room, pretty village, food was excellent and the so was the service, especially the two girls that were on - evening and the following morning. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the shower had very low pressure which made it difficult to wash my hair

Lovely one nighter in East Meon
Lovely traditional pub with rooms in converted stables. Very comfortable bed. The food in the pub restaurant was excellent quality and more than just traditional pub food. I’d eat here even if I wasn’t staying. Free breakfast was fab too, really substantial

Immaculate Stable Conversion
Very quaint converted stables next to the pub. Beautifully finished and immaculately clean. A very warm welcome from the pub staff. Excellent evening meal and very good breakfast. Location is great for walking and conveniently located for us following a visit to Hambledon Vineyard.

Ideal for short break in the area
Pretty village with fabulous walks, we walked along disused railway line to Wickham, lunch then back around 11 miles or so. Friendly staff, fairly small room but clean and comfortable. Enjoyed breakfast of full English or eggs and salmon. Nice relaxing break.

Very comfortable modern accommodation in a well-converted stable block across the old pub yard. Excellent food and drink at dinner in the pub too. The beer garden looked attractive but it was a bit late in the day / season to use it.
