The Wildwood Inn is under construction and I was not informed prior to arriving. When I arrived they put me up in there sister property The Waves and it was a beautiful property. However, there was no insulation to the walls or ceiling! I heard every noise in the rooms above and next door, which made for a loud night! But the room was beautiful and the bathroom shower was gorgeous! I do feel that I should have been notified of the construction!

We had ants everywhere and a few of the towels had makeup stains. There was also an AC and a lamp in the room but 0 outlets anywhere along the walls to plug them into. The bathroom outlet didn’t work either. You get what you pay for

Ok place to stay.
Rooms were clean but the common areas were in need of cleaning and repair. Hallways were hot and the ice machine was dirty.

Bedbugs, noisy
Seemed nice walking into the room, laid down to take a quick nap lifted the pillow a bed bug was crawling over it. Started looking at the edge of the bedsheets there was blood on the edges clear indication of bedbug infestation moved the bed sure enough bedbugs. Went on the other bed same thing was disgusted. Called around different hotels in the area no availability for the day of. Reason I booked this hotel was due to the poor quality of the others in the surrounding areas ran to Walmart purchase an air bed. Could not sleep for that night at all you can hear throughout the night was the water pipes running as if someone was constantly flushing or water burst. Overall would never do it again next year probably just stay in cape may and drive in.

There was not much to like about this stay. The motel / Inn overbooked reservations, which left no parking for me and my daughter. Then, showering in the morning we learned there were no washcloths in our room. My daughter wanted to watch tv, while I showered..... the television only showed a bouncing icon that read: "LG No Signal". Finally, there was no telephone in the room Upon checkout i questioned the no washcloths and the tv not working. The clerk then stated "oh, you have to come to the front desk for the washcloths and that the clerk would have to come to the room to pair the tv to the service." None of this was common knowledge. I learned my lesson, never again. NEVER I wasted $193 for this experience.

Things started downhill from the moment I got there. First I was told that there was a $15 service fee on top of what I had already paid. When I asked what the fee was for, they said $5 was for parking and that the other $10 was for using their towels and toilet paper. Well there parking lot was full and I had to park on the street, so that parking fee was straight up theft. And I have never heard of a hotel charging for towels and toilet paper (which I didn't even use). The room was also crazy hot because the air conditioner wasn't turned on. Turning on to its lowest setting didn't improve things much. Plus the sheets were dirty and the walls were paper thin, so I could hear everything in the rooms around me. I only stayed here as a convenience for business, but next time I'll just go home. A waste of money and that $15 hidden charge is pure theft. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

We had an amazing time. Wildwood inn felt like home with a pool table and back deck. We plan on coming back for sure!!

Stay was good. Not a place for a long stay, but for a quick trip. Check in was alright, and quick. We had a little issue but they fixed it quickly. They’re customer service is good, not over bearing and didn’t bother us. Rooms were okay, not a great size but we’re comfortable and Air Conditioners were good. Had two rooms, king bed had a dresser/closer and the 2q didn’t have anywhere for our clothes. Overall was a okay and peaceful stay

Bad experience
The room smelled like bleach very strong. No room for luggage no closets no dressers. the room consisted of 2 beds and a refrigerator. I have lung issues and could not stay there because of the burning in my lungs. so I paid for one night and left and went to another hotel. So I paid $151.00 and didn't stay any nights at this hotel.

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean , but needed some attention for cleaning the hallways and stairways. Will be good to have coffee makers in the apartment . The water in the pool needs more care.

They don't make the rooms if you stay long

TERRIBLE
This place is so old and not updated in probably 10 years or more. There is no daily maid service unless request it. The hotel is 3 levels with no elevator just narrow stairs to lug all your luggage up. I asked during the reservation how far the beach was from the hotel and was told 2 blocks. It’s 3 blocks just to get on the boardwalk then to get down to the ocean is so far you’d rather drive on the sand. Do NOT recommend

Very spacious room! Liked the setup of the room, however our tv volume was broken. The remote nor the tv buttons to turn down the volume would work. Couldn’t even turn it on as the volume was up to 95… Otherwise it was a great room! I would go back

Charged extra for a 4th person in a 4 person room!
I would like to be credited money back. I booked a room with 2 double beds for my adult child as a gift for her birthday. There were going to be 2 other people with her. When my daughter's spouse called to say she unexpectedly got off work early & could now come too but would be late.....The hotel staff told her the room would be $40 extra!! The room has 2 double beds why was there an extra charge for a 4th guest?! Il tell you why because my daughter is 22 & the hotel took advantage of someone who doesn't know better!

The closeness to the boardwalk was really nice. The beds were not that great and the WiFi and even out 5G was spotty at best. There were no hand towels in the bathroom along with the shower seamed to be coming apart.

There were bugs in the room, one of the bed skirts looked like it had dried vomit on it, the door’s battery pack for the key card entry was just hanging off on the inside of the door. Pictures were deceiving. Just bad.

We loved the pool and playing pool. The coffee in the lobby was better than any of the coffee I purchased on the boardwalk. The staff was very friendly.

They had to fix our door randomly our first evening there, beds were quite literally falling apart, definitely not the cleanest. Definitely not worth the price. Walk to boardwalk/beach was amazing, distance was great.

Not as expected
The photos for this hotel are nothing like what the room actually looked like. Very outdated and small accommodations. When me and my girlfriend had first got there there wasn’t any parking for us and was told to park in a spot that wasn’t even marked as a parking spot and that our car wouldn’t fit into. Certainly won’t be going back
