The motel is older and was what I expected. My brother and had two rooms. My brother’s room (Room 1) was dated and had wood paneling throughout. My room (Room 2) appeared to be updated. The room had all I needed. The room was clean and had a microwave and fridge and separate bedroom and living area. The bathroom was nice too. The bedroom mattress was excellent! The only downside is that it can be quite loud in the rooms at times as the motel is right on the highway.

The “Mining Room” is a local favourite… This historic 1940-1950 motel has lots of charm, and updates are occurring constantly! Having a roadside vintage motel, sometimes includes some road noise. Unique decor and feel to the room, quaint, no contact check-in seamless, pet friendly, small town has everything you need for a night or two.

We liked the well equipped kitchen, heater, Epsom salt for the tub, the list of restaurants (especially The Dragonfly Café) We did not like the key/door knob - seemed to have been forced. I didn’t like the shower in the tub - nothing to hold on to....

Close to where we needed to be. Clean and friendly. Easy check in and check out. Glenda was amazing. Needs a bit more finishing on the renovations.

The hot/cold taps in the bathtub were difficult to adjust for a consistent temperature and could get scalding hot fast. There was no hair dryer available and there was very little for food options open. The place was dated but clean and for an overnight stay, comfortable enough.

Hi Amber Thank you for letting me know the issue with the taps I will have that looked at. Hair Dryers are available upon request. There is a list in each room of all the restaurants in town as well the list is sent to your email prior to check in.

The Reno motel was dated but clean. It was superb for a stay with the kid and our dog. There’s a park very close by and a green space for your pet. Only no blow dryer so if you forget this essential you are SOL.

Quaint old style motel. As a motorcyclist I could park my bike literally on my rooms doorstep. Only a couple of block walk to food and drinks. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.

I would stay again, but only because options are limited in the area. They need to put some work into the rooms, and the manager maybe shouldn’t contribute to the local noise problem so much.

Cute and clean! We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the chairs in front our suite while with the beautiful views. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This place was really quaint and quiet. We loved that the owner sent a message with all the local shop/restaurants but more importantly their hours of operation as we could plan where to hit as timing permitted. Would totally stay again

The property was in convenient location and a midway point for a trip we do quite often. Although it is not a 5 star accommodation, it was excellent value for what they offer. Meeting the people at such a quaint location would have some value, but our exchange on the phone was warm and cordial. We'll be back!

Enjoyed our time in Salmo
Cute motel in the town of Salmo. Nicely decorated and friendly owners. Interesting walk around town. Wifi a bit spotty at times and some issues with temperature control in the shower. Would recommend the motel if you are staying in Salmo as it is a cute place to stay for a night or two.

This is a lovely small accommodation. It is not pretentious in the least. Everything that you could need is there. It is not modern but it is clean, comfortable, and the owners are wonderfully friendly and helpful. If you need to stay in Salmo, this is the place!

Rooms were decorated in a theme. We had the Safari room with great rugs and decorations in that theme. We loved it!

Very friendly and helpful staff. A bit loud - the speed limit changes right outside and so this is where motorcycles and trucks speed up loudly. The microwave was not there, but a toaster oven was.

Thank you for your review. The speed limit actually changes about 4 blocks past us, but people do speed and it isn’t patrolled much. We have tried to post our own sign, but as you noticed, it isn’t working very well. Yes we recently put Air Fryer/ Ovens in the rooms, thinking it would give guests more options. Thanks again.
