Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful. Really great staff. The outside/property area is very beautiful as well. I just don't think the place is worth the price, and I can't understand why they would advertise this as a 5 star property. The rooms look like they are from the 80s or 90s - decorations are just very, very outdated and the room just smelled old (but it was clean). The bathrooms are very outdated - not even close to a 5 star property. They also charge for bottles of water. At a 5 star property you should at least give 2 bottles of water included per day. There was also no wifi in the area with the rooms (again, shouldn't be labeled as 5 star) and even when we were in the main house area the wifi wasn't working well enough to look things up in our email. To be completely honest the price should have been about 1/3 of what we paid for how it is now. If they renovated the rooms to be more in like to 2019, and they added basic amenities like Wifi, they could potentially justify charging more than about 1/3 of what we paid.

Fiquei muito feliz com a escolha. O local parece cenário de filme romântico. E o time de pessoas que nos recebeu lá é show, super amáveis, o tempo todo preocupados com o nosso bem estar. Cuidaram de cada detalhe para que nossa estadia fosse inesquecível: um vinho maravilhoso de boas vindas, patinhos de brinquedo na banheira para o meu filho etc.

Nightmare
We booked the hotel through hotel.com, when we arrived at the hotel, we were not even welcome. The lazy staff lady informed us that the Hotel is closed, then she said its fully booked, when we said we have a reservation, she said they do not accept same day booking. However, anyone can book via their websites and any booking platforms for the same day and it clearly said check-in time is 2pm-7pm, we arrived at 5pm to the Hotel. Not even a word of sorry, nor any email about this matter. We were not even allow to enter the gate, we were turned away from the intercom system.This is the worse experience i ever had. Do not even go to this hotel, there are so many nice place around Franshoek.

Lovely small hotel
This was our second stay at Manoir de Brendel and as always we got a warm welcome from Charmaine. Prior to our arrival they booked restaurants for us which was very helpful. The room was clean and spacious and the free bottle of wine was and added bonus. We will certainly stay there again if we are in the area.

Hotel fazenda em bela área vinícola, mas que precisa de reparos, tanto no ar condicionado barulhento, no piso de madeira idem e nos funcionários que inexistem após as 17:00 horas. Para mim, não deve ser considerado como um verdadeiro 5 estrelas!

Enttäuschung in praktisch allen Aspekten.
Das angebotene 5 Sterne B&B Weingut ist definitiv keine 5 Sterne Unterkunft. Dies ist nicht nur durch fehlende elementare Einrichtungsgegenstände zurückzuführen.( z.B. keine Nachttischlampen) Qualität der Einrichtung ist auf Ikea Level. Der angebliche SPA besteht aus einem größeren Plantschbecken, das in jedem Einfamilienhaus in Deutschland besser ausgestattet ist.

Sie würden uns sehr helfen, wenn Sie uns wissen ließen auf welcher Webseite oder Broschüre wir als SPA beworben werden. Auch tut es uns sehr leid, dass Sie mit falschen Erwartungen bezüglich unseres Pools angereist waren. Ich glaube sicher, dass man sehr enttäuscht sein kann wenn man sich auf einen sehr großen Pool einstellt in dem man morgens seine Bahnen ziehen kann und dann bei uns den Pool findet, der auf unserer Webseite auf vielen Bildern abgebildet ist. Wir wollen unbedingt, dass unsere Gäste das vorfinden, was wir auf unserer Webseite bewerben und Sie können sicher sein, dass die Fotos die Sie dort vorfinden nicht geschönt sind. Base for exploring Franschhoek.
The front of the property does not do justice to the quality of the establishent but our stay was very relaxing in the main house with loads of character. Breakfast outside was a delight and staff uniformly friendly. Nice grounds and pool; nothing else needed!

Attractive Vineyard Retreat
Our garden suite in this old converted vineyard property was very spacious, well appointed and had its own shady verandah, ideal for a leisurely afternoon. Reception and other staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast in this B&B establishment catered for most needs. Le Manoir has pleasant grounds with opportunities for walking in the surrounding vineyard. There is a good swimming pool. The hotel is conveniently placed, 5 minutes drive from Franschhoek and near many vineyards ( including La Motte with its excellent Pierneef restaurant). We found Le Manoir to be very peaceful but it is a wedding venue which may affect noise levels on occasions..

Stylish and peaceful
This beautiful and well appointed Manor House and suites offer a peaceful haven in the wine region. The staff provide exceptional service and the owner is extremely helpful. Our breakfast was served on the terrace/garden overlooking a lovely small chapel.

Great hotel in Franschoek
The staff were friendly and efficient, Charmaine booked all restaurants and taxis for us and could not have been anymore helpful. Free wine tasting on arrival. Altogether a very comfortable stay.

Fantastic hotel, highly recommend.
This Guest House was superb, only wish we could of stayed longer, can highly recommend. Room was lovely, surroundings, breakfast, everything about this 5 star Guest House, I cannot fault. Really, do book and stay. Superb. x

Great Boutique Wine Guesthouse
Great little spot with amazing views. Very close to the main town. We stayed in room 7 which was massive. All modern furnishings and the service was excellent. The tv was a bit tiny - pc monitor sized and the wifi didn't work but besides that everything is excellent. Great breakfasts as well.

Idylle in Mitten der Weinberge
in Ergänzung zu unserem Kapstadt-Urlaub haben wir eine phantastische Insel der Ruhe und Entspannung angetroffen. Das Anwesen ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber gerade deshalb in Kombination mit dem liebevollen Service und wunderschönen Garten immer für eine Wiederholung zu empfehlen. Das ausgezeichnete Frühstück auf der Terrasse rundete diese Empfindung ab.

Spectacular,
Wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the beautiful property more. Room was beautiful, staff very friendly and efficient, breakfast lovely and the grounds and view just fantastic. Its just on the way into franschoek nestled in the lovely valley with great views of the surrounding mountains.

Memorable experience
Maybe I shan't pass this way again, but the hospitality and quality of the surroundings will remain in my memory. The suite was well furnished with a large bathroom,and breakfast was excellent. You are a 5 minute drive from Franschoek , where parking is easy, and numerous cafes or restaurants. The best eating experience by far was at La petite Ferme, which is just outside Franschoek

Great room and friendly staff
We spent 3 nights here and would happily return. It's about a 5 minute drive to Franshooek. Our room was very large and even had 2 bathrooms which was great. The staff were friendly and very helpful - they helped book a local tour of Pniel which we read about from the guide they'd written and left in our room. Recommended.

Perfect weekend
Could not have chosen a more perfect place to propose at. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a romantic weekend, or even a business weekend. The accomodation is perfectly located if you would like to spend time seeing the sights in Franschoek and Paarl during your stay. We will definitely visit soon again.

Visiter Franschhoek et ses vins excellents
Le Manoir de Brandel est un excellent établissement. J´ai séjourné quelques jours dans cet hôtel. Lors de monséjour il n´y avait personne! Donc je suis enchanté de l´accueil qui m´a été réservé. La suite numéro 9 est impeccable. Le lit est très bon. Il y a deux salles de bain (avec douche et baignoire). Le petit déjeuner est délicieux avec un très bon choix de produits. Je recommande de venir passer un séjour dans ce manoir. Il y a une petite chapelle dans la propriété. On y célèbre des mariages! Le cadre est absolument magnifique. C´est plus pratique si on possède un véhicule. Mais la ville est à seulement 6 kilomètres de distance. Et puis la responsable du Manoir est très sympathique (ainsi que tout le personnel). Dans la région toute proche il y a des excellents restaurants.
