Very kind staff. We forgot something in the room and noticed that we came back to London. They were so kind to send them back. Would like to stay once again.

The property is lovely and cosy with incredibly attentive and friendly staff and fabulous food. A wonderful place to stay if you want to escape for a night or two.

All the staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Darren is a very good manager; he is solution focused and is available to be contacted 24/7. An excellent team.

Authentic 15th-century lodging
If you want to experience staying in 15th-century lodging this is the place for you but it's not the place if you prefer a shower as there is only a bath which was in a cupboard! it did make us laugh. The room is claustrophobic but that's part of its charm. I'd definitely recommend the restaurant as the food was fine dining to a high standard and very much enjoyed by both of us. The staff where welcoming and professional.

Fabulous - oozing character and charm
Fabulous 15th century coaching inn, full of character and quirkiness. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and well presented served in cosy dining areas with lit candles on tables throughout the day creating a lovely ambience. Nice pub garden to enjoy food and drinks on warmer days. Nice comfy lounge available for residents to enjoy.

築年1480年の建物を利用した美しい趣のあるホテル
15世紀(1480年）の羊毛職人の家をホテルにしたというホテル。ホテル内部にもアンティークが使われていたり、宿泊者が自由に使えるロビースペースも、お部屋も素敵な趣があり、歴史を感じました。　　部屋も清潔に保たれており、快適でした。　　夕飯もホテルの１階のレストランを利用しましたが、お料理はどれも美味しく、素敵なインテリアにキャンドルが灯っていたりとても雰囲気がありました。　朝食も１人12ポンドで、レストランスペースで頂きました。　　ホテルのスタッフもみなとても親切で、駅に戻るタクシーを呼んでもらった際もタクシーが来るまで宿泊者しか入れない２階のロビースペースで待っていいよ！と言ってくださいました。　お庭の先は小川が流れている為、庭にカモの家族が歩いていたり、ほっこりしました。　ゆったりとした時間を過ごすのにオススメなホテルです。

Enjoyed our Stay
The Angel has atmosphere and character by the bucket load, don’t expect mod cons, or level floors or doors that don’t creek or even fit but that’s the charm, embrace the history and you will love the stay. Staff are helpful and welcoming, food is good without being exceptional, wine list is very good indeed. Must admit to being surprised the bed wasn’t made after our first night and that biscuits weren’t replenished but these are very small things which didn’t stop our overall enjoyment, we had a very pleasant two night stay and we would return when next in the area, although to one of the larger bedrooms if available.

15c hotel in National Trust village
Beautiful 15th building, well appointed rooms and comfortable bed. Restaurant has interesting menu and well cooked and tasty food; small and very busy so book table a few days before you arrive. Parking could be difficult at peak times so plan your timings.

Such a wonderful building, full of character. The room was cosy and comfortable, and the food was superb. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful escape after a rotten year.

Olde England
A part of historic olde England , no hurry , no fuss , slow and calm. Great location , lovely food in a non Crowded space. Standard room with no TV and door from a farm and no disital door entry cards. Just lovely.

Absolutely Beautiful
If youre looking for a modcon room, This one isnt for you but its amazing. Its set in a fantastic village, lovely staff, great food. Rooms are basic (as they shod be with this setting) but have everything you need and are very comfortable. More than what i expected.

Atmospheric stay in an old inn positioned in a village owned by the National Trust. The building is full of character and original features, with open fires and exposed beams. The bedroom was warm, comfortable and wonderfully quiet. The en suite was well equipped with a powerful shower and bath. Breakfast as excellent.

500 year old delight
Wonderful querky old (very old) hotel. No bar but drinks may be served in the residents lounge. Very comfortable beds in attractive rooms. Marvellous food served by attentive and very friendly staff

I loved this place It was a real experience being able to stay in such a historic building I am happy to see that is has been preserved with the upmost respect and care parking was tricky maybe something could be arranged with the Lacock national trust car park for overnight

Lovely but...
Lovely restaurant with amazing food. The bedroom was certainly quaint, which was nice. However there was one issue which impacted my stay - the door! As the hotel is quaint the door does not fit the frame in many places, you can actually see clearly through from the corridor. There was a point just after I went to bed where I was certain people in the corridor were in my room! The hotel have put a curtain to pull over the door - however this is too far from the door so does not block the light from the corridor so it felt like the room was illuminated all night. If the hotel was in a dodgy area I would not have accepted the room as I wouldn’t have felt safe. If the door issue could be resolved then everything else was charming.

Memorable wonderful stay
This was the best stay this visiting. Inn is over 530 years old with undeniable charm plus sparkling clean bathroom and comfortable bed. Mugs in room is handmade nice ceramics. Dinner was state of art! Breakfast had good coffee. Whole place is beautifully decorated with good taste. Really wonderful place!

Romantic stay in a historic inn
We stayed at room 4 which was lovely and we really liked the historic features of the building. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was delicious.

Go back in time
Very quaint very old building in a village wholly governed by the National Trust, As such expect to go back in time, no television in the room but there is an excellent radio to listen to. We stayed for a pre Christmas treat with our furry friend. We stayed in room 3 which is at the front of the hotel above the restaurant, I would stay again but would ask for a different room as we found it quite noisy when we retired to bed. Bed fabulously comfortable and a great coffee maker in the room. Mind your head on the door frames! No bar in the hotel but there is a very comfortable warm sitting room where you can sit and chill with a drink. Dinner was delicious as was breakfast, all the staff helpful and attentive. Don’t expect all mod cons, do expect wobbly floors, warmth and comfort with a roaring open fire in a beautiful English village. Dog friendly room and restaurant.
