Elana,I am so sorry that you didn’t have a wonderful experience staying with us.It sounds terrible to feel underwhelmed with the room, food and all amenities that we offer.There are a few items that we accommodate for general preference such as firmness of mattress. The AC unit is inspected everyday during housekeeping hours. If the machine breaks after the normal hours of our maintenance crew, the repair gets ticketed immediately and be on top of our maintenance crews to-do list. It sounds like our staffs did flag and update repair list and it was resolved at the earliest possible hours. We are reinforcing the inspections to prevent AC failures. We must’ve been out of newer dryer and all dryers are replaced with new ones.As for Korean food, the taste of Carambola is based on the chef’s experience growing up in Korea. It is not expected to please everyone’s pallet and we completely respect your review. For the price, CR is very pricy as you experienced. 90 for 2 people having korean bbq with appetizers and drinks, is not over priced. Korean BBQ is one of the most expensive meals in Korea and everywhere else. It is particularly challenging to replicate authentic korean taste in the middle of jungle. At last, it sounds like you enjoyed our house special cocktail which is mango moon special for 2 for 1 price. Actually mango moon special drink is not included in our happy hour special so I’m delighted to know that you had a little treat.

Hello Jose,I am loving reading your story about my own place where i call home.Everyone who steps into the gate become our extended family during their stay.Thank you so much for sharing your experience so eloquently.The location and views are there for us to appreciate but having staffs who truly enjoye hospitality is a tribute to continuation of hard working.I am so thankful for you to notice and sharing your thoughts for future travelers.I will most definitely share with my staff how their hard work makes the difference in our guests experience. Thanks for sharing the review.It was unfortunate that the hotel was completely full and we weren’t able to offer you another room.However, a different room was offered the following day as well as a full refund for you to find a different hotel.There are situations that do not allow many options and this was one of the cases.We are a hotel that welcome families including children.Had we had more information from both of you and your next door guests prior to checking in, we could have a little more room to rearrange the rooms to better accommodate.If we knew you were spending your honeymoon we would have assigned you in a more private room.If the next door guest let us know that they were bringing a baby with them in advance, we would have put them in a room that didn’t have a joining room.It was very late in the night when they checked in as you noted and we thought we offered all we could including a full refund.It was frustrating not to be able to offer options as well as frustrating to control how much noises baby could or could not make.My comment was based on how it is imposible to control baby noise when you kept insisting on not having the noise.The room was reinforced by adding more sound absorbent materials and it was your decision not to move to a different room.I also remember when i asked if you were able to get sleep the next morning, you had assured me that you did.Regardless of the snafu, i hope you enjoyed your trip to Costa Rica.

hi Dana,thanks for your review.we are a small hotel and the pool is for our guests to cool off after a long and hot day of exploring.i hope you at least got to feel refreshed after a hot day at the pool.some rooms are joint with next room to make a larger family suits. i am wondering if you stayed in one of the adjacent rooms. we will take a look to see if we could make any improvments.

Thanks for taking time to share your feedbacks.Given the orientation of our building, towards the ocean, private balcony is not what we could offer.There are family suits that offer private balcony but unfortunately the room you booked was not the category that comes with it.Feedbacks such as leaky faucet would help us to address unexpected repairs at the last minute.
