Pros: lovely little apartment, comfortable bed, great location with lots to eat and do nearby.
Cons: as we were arriving to Lisbon before check in time, we asked to have an early check in. We didn't receive a response from the property until two hours before the actual check in time. They told us it was impossible as check out was at 11 and they needed until 4 to clean the room. So we waited until 4, at which time they seemed completely unprepared for us. The person checking us in tried two doors before calling his boss and getting the right one. When we walked into the room, it hadn't been cleaned yet!!! We then had to wait an additional hour as a cleaning crew was called and cleaned the apartment around us. It was very awkward and certainly not what we paid for, not impressed! The hot water also repeatedly ran out throughout a short shower.
One more note, this apartment is located up two very steep, narrow and slippery sets of stairs. At night there is no light in the hallways so be sure to have your phone flashlight ready or you might fall down! It is also slightly difficult to find this place, it is behind an unmarked (except for a small sticker beside a broken doorbell) locked door. For check in, we had to wait in the street until somebody showed up to let us in. Also, it can get quite noisy at night as there is a rooftop bar nearby which blasts music but it seemed to die down around 10 so no big issue for us. The bathtub is small and not "deep soak".
