I usually do not give overall bad ratings for anyplace I have stayed at, but this hotel was horrible. Let us start with when I first arrived to check in. I had to wait close to 10 minutes for anyone to even show up at the front desk, but once Eric finally showed up, he was very courteous during the check in process. There was a large dry erase board in the lobby that had a message written on it saying it was a "totally smoke free facility, but as a courtesy you CAN smoke at the back of the building. Well, it should have specified OUTSIDE the back of the building because the entire lobby area smelled like a huge ashtray. Now, let us speak of the room itself. The bathroom smelled even worse than the lobby, although it appeared "clean". . My wife and I literally had to spray perfume in the bathroom in order to actually use it. When I opened the refrigerator door to put some sodas inside it, it felt more like a heater inside than a refrigerator, and it smelled even worse than the bathroom and lobby did. So needless to say, we did NOT use the refrigerator, nor did we leave the bathroom door open. And that bed was so hard, imagine concrete with a think quilt on top. The only positive was that the air conditioning unit worked great. Oh, there was NO information of any kind in the room pertaining to checkout, wi-fi, local places to eat, etc. Over the past 30 years, my wife and I have stayed at many different hotels/motels and this one was without a doubt the absolute WORST ever.
