Positive:
-situation relative to the city centre and metro Dostoievskaya
-tea available in the lunch room
-clean room, modern decoration
Minus:
-Not worth the price we paid ( 80 EUR, booked 50 days in advance).
-The entrance (building inside, entry stairs, hotel name plate, etc): make a very bad impression even for a 2-star hotel (the way other sites rate it)
-Don't take the room 7 !: you will wake up early in the morning because of noises on both sides: reception and the small room on the other side (staff toilet + sink)
-Breakfast is included, but we couldn't touch it; it's presented as "continental", but we received a warm boiled meal; we bought our own breakfast from the "24" shop next door.
-At breakfast, to have a decent coffee from the machine you must pay, free is only the "instant coffee".
-Personnel on duty Saturday-Sunday was not speaking a word of English, I had to use the "conversation guide in Russian".
-We left the luggage in the morning after the check out. Coming back in the evening to take our suitcases, we asked if we could use the hotel toilets: the answer from the lady on duty (in russian), was: 'No, sorry, this is only for us"...so blunt refusal
I have this message for that employee:
"We have been in hundreds of hotels in Europe, US, Asia, Africa, but never had this refusal before; with this attitude, Dear Madam, you have no place in the hotel business".
