Nice hotel with great location
The hotel is really clean and well organization. The location is the best. I found a good rate on Hotels.com and was happy with the findings. I don't find the breakfast as excellent as some reviews stated. It was just average. Overall, I am happy with this hotel and definitely would recommend it.

This nice quiet historical place was very peaceful which is what I was looking for. I was there for the tunnel of trees and this was the perfect location for it. Staff was nice and friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious. I loved the fact that we had to use a key to open the door. If your looking to party don’t even book. I needed this peacefulness. All of that and it was still affordable. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a quiet and peaceful place.

We really liked our stay at Colonial Inn. The room we had, had some unique features, including a large bathroom and several windows to allow natural light to shine in. It felt like we were staying in a condo or someone’s home. The breakfast was decent. Beds were comfortable. The fireplace was a nice touch. Look forward to staying there again in the future.

The windows had extremely sheer curtains that you could see right in the whole room! The fireplace barely had a flame and the complimentary breakfast was terrible. The sidewalk in front of our room was covered in pine needles. Extremely disappointed and we were charged way too much for what we got. Feel we should get a discount. The shower was the only plus.

Comfy cozy and clean
we randomly chose the colonial inn on hotels.com, and it was very happy with our choice. The location was beautiful and it’s a very clean and well-kept grounds not to mention the peanut butter cookie was amazing.

Our stay was amazing! The Colonial Inn was so quaint and charming. Every area was clean, orderly and beautiful. We would definitely stay there again and recommend this Inn to our friends. I have stayed at Colonial Inn several times in the past. This trip I was very unhappy. 3 adults in a tiny room. We had no place to put our luggage. Took what we were going to wear out of the trunk of the car! The beds are too high. Im 70 yrs old. I couldn't climb into the bed. And carry everything up a flight of stairs. No elevator. I wasn't at all happy. There were no other rooms available. We had to make due. I dont think ill be staying there anymore. The rooms and bathroom were clean, tho.

Very quaint inn in a secluded spot of Harbor Springs. Nice location for a morning walk in Wequitonsing with beautiful Victorian homes on one side and the bay on the other. We will visit again when in the area.

Needs updates but charming
I was surprised that the room was so musty. The tank for the dehumidifier was full and the humidity was at 65% when we checked in. Emptying the tank helped quite a bit. However, it seems like housekeeping should be checking on that to keep the room from smelling so bad. The tub was an older Jacuzzi and extremely difficult for my mom to get into to shower. Few outlets -- charged phone and watch on the floor. Why not get some lamps with USB charging capacity for the nightstands? The beds were a bit worn, too -- my mom's had a spring poking up in one spot but was able to find a comfortable side... would have been unfortunate if 2 people had to sleep in that bed. Positives -- main lodge is a gorgeous old building, service was friendly, and breakfast was high quality.
