We chose the Presidential Grand Villa as a site for a family gathering because of the floor plan. We wanted to have multiple bathrooms available for our different family groups and having three bathrooms worked well for us.
We cooked at least one meal each day of our stay in the spacious kitchen and though there was some disorganization (for example, lids for some of the pots were in another area of the kitchen and while there were multiple spatulas, they were scattered in different drawers around the kitchen), we did have everything we needed.
Upon our arrival, our host had music playing and aroma candles burning while he toured us through the villa and made sure we knew how to work the TV remotes and how to turn on the fireplaces. After that we were left alone to make the space our own for our stay, yet knew that we could contact the host at any time if something was needed.
The villa is next to the highway and we did notice that road noise could be loud if the windows were open but was not bothersome when the windows were closed. We also noticed that there were some clothes stored in the dresser and in the closet of the main master suite which we assumed belonged to the owner but there was plenty of storage for our things.
The villa is as beautiful as it looks in the online pictures and the floor plan worked well for our family. The location was convenient to both Taos and Angel Fire for day trips and sightseeing. We were comfortable here and enjoyed our stay.
