First class, a wonderful Colorado mountain getaway! Margaret is a graceful host, sensitive to your needs. The views alone are worth the trip! The interior is well orchestrated and very comfortable with “at home” vibe personality.

The staff couldn’t even get their front door to open when we got there. We asked if there’s any food or drink and they offered a $180 couples dinner. This place is in the middle of no where, costs the same as a decent hotel, and is more disgusting than a motel 6. Please book ANYWHERE else. This place reminded us of some sort or horror movie. Not being dramatic. I dare you to ski all day, and show up here after paying $300 for the booking. Expedia needs to audit this place and ask themselves “is this booking reflective of the quality of our brand?”

Overall very quiet and peaceful for context we went for our “mini moon” just to unwind after the wedding and you can hear everything… so wasn’t as private as we would have liked. You could see some things needed updating or dusted found a few dead bugs here and there. Breakfast was good but not a great coffee/ hot cocoa bar you can tell they don’t really keep an eye on stuff if it’s getting low or stale. Dinner for two for us was super pricey his wife is the cook which I sure she is great but not for $189. Would recommend as a chill hang out but not a lot going on if you love to hike it’s a great location for that wish it was a bit closer to town but we enjoyed our stay overall.

They did not have AC, the room was hot and humid, said we couldn’t open the main window, just the small one but it would cool down in evening. At 4 am it was still warm and at 8 am started getting hotter. We didn’t stay a 2nd night.

Beautiful views and very quiet. Room was clean and comfortable. St. Mary's glacier hiking trail is within walking distance. The owner even packed us a breakfast to go because we were headed out early! Highly recommend.

Overall a pleasant stay especially for anyone wanting easy access to mountain trails. Only problem was our bed had a very weak mattress that could only comfortably support a small person otherwise this lodge is very comfortable and cozy.

The owners, Andrew and Margaret, were awesome hosts and very accommodating during our stay at the lodge. Between the breathtaking views of St. Mary's glacier and the seclusion of the lodge, this was an amazingly romantic experience for my fiancée and I.

This is a hidden gem, well off the beaten path. Alpine forest, great quiet ambiance, comfortable with great views. Excellent Four star dinner, one seating, requires a reservation. Breakfast delightful. Hosts were efficient and engaging. Adults only accommodation. A single negative was narrow steep stairs. If you’re old, fat, and out of shape, you shouldn’t be in the forest unless you’re a bear. Already Planning a return trip.

Spent a few nights here and it was lovely. The hosts were incredibly kind and made delicious food. We got breakfast every morning and every time we couldn’t believe how good it all was! The dinner we had on our last night there was equally as amazing. Around the area we went on the St Mary’s Glacier Hike, did the mine tours and train rides, and explored around the historic downtown. It was a great stay, thank you.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great log cabin feel and look. Peaceful, great mountain view amazing deck to enjoy them on. Delicious meals in nice setting. Comfortable cozy beds. Definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Chef Margaret is amazing. Margaret and Andrew were incredible hosts and did everything humanly possible to make everyone's stay perfect. The food was unbelievable. Chef Margaret is a magician in the kitchen. It was an amazing experience and our room was LOVELY! It is a total BARGAIN for what you get. It's like a 5-star restaurant meal for the price of an ordinary hotel continental breakfast buffet. And dinner was better than Ruth Chris at 1/3 of the $$. Truly extraordinary!!! I would give 10 stars if I could.

Beautiful log lodge with wonderful staff and a magical view of St. Mary's glacier and surrounding mountains. Access to local hiking trails and the historic village of Idaho Springs is quite convenient. The meals of breakfast and dinner are excellent! However, be sure to make the owner aware of your in those meals when checking in.

Beautiful property and Mountain View. Elevation 10,500ft and drive up / down the mountain roads was challenging. Snowed all nights we were there. Definitely plan to have an AWD. Ski areas were 30min to an hour away. Property rooms were lovely, host/hostess were accommodating, friendly, and informative. Breakfast time is 09:00 which is very late if you have plans for the day. Great trip.

Very nice facilties and staff. This bed and breakfast has a great view from the main commons area and the rooms are nice. Andrew was very hospitable and polite and the breakfast was super both days of our visit.

Perfect location, top notch hospitality. Great themed rooms that had breath taking views. Extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was thoughtful and delicious.
