Harbourview suites.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The name was a little misleading, we couldn't see the harbour, in fact we could see the flyover with homeless people sleeping under it.

Good apartment, centrally located
The room is nice. It is very large as it's an apartment rather than a hotel. The bed is comfortable. It has working WiFi, aircon etc. It comes with underground parking which is handy. It's situated between downtown and V&A. We stayed for 2 nights and had a pleasant stay.

The flat itself was fine, not 4 star, but adequate. Building felt secure. Quite near main road and a school so a bit of noise but manageable. The nearby Spar was useful. Neither check-in nor check-out went smoothly, as this flat is managed independently compared to the rest of the building so there is no front desk and we had to wait ages, despite informing them of our arrival and leaving times. We were also annoyed to find the lamps and hairdryer had the two pronged plug but no adapters were provided until I asked for them (and they made out like I was being unreasonable even though every other place we stayed in South Africa during our two week trip provided adapters for any provided appliances with the alternative plug). Apparently there is a pool in the building but we weren't told where. I would only recommend booking this place if you are flexible on check in and check out times, don't mind the absence of a front desk, and if you have your own two prong to three prong adapters!

Excellent location, close to so much. Beautiful comfortable apartment. I was extremely pleased with everything. I plan to stay again when in Cape Town.

Great location. Facilities very old and tired.
Non stick pan but only metal spatulas. Pans already scratched.??!! Otherwise very good. Arrived early but was accepted and very friendly booking process.

Our stay at Harbour Edge in Cape Town.
First i would like to say all the staff at the apartments were great. Only that the apartment was right opposite a main road but A it was only for a week. And there was no adaptor for the hairdryer. I had to buy one. A 3 round pin to a circular 2 pin. And as we had a late flight on are last day we had to leave our luggage with a small fee and the courtesy of the recption staff as we would not pay the extra cost for the 6 hrs to keep our room. So a big high 5 to the recption staff for that. Dankie John Campbell.

The check in was overly complicated and took time for the host to arrive and let me in the very last thing I wanted at the end of a long day. The room looked like it needed a good clean and the floor tiles and carpet were in need of a good spring clean

We try communicate to our guests before arival how important it is to contact us on the 24 hour number we supply you with. Very strange
We sent a message to the company about the late arrival time, we are a family with a child of 3. They weren't there to give us the key. We were waiting more than a hour and when we call them, they say 'but all of our guests made the check in already' they discuss with us and the end, after more than a hour... they brought the key. So lack of respect. Now they sent me a message saying something was break. We spend one day and two nights there, almost nothing inside of the apartment as we were around the intire day. We are sure we didn't break any. Hope u guys help us to solve it, because I am not agree about any extra cost damages in my card.

Hi There, we do not have a reception desk at any of our properties. The building is a apartment block. It is important to contact us when on your way to the property on the 24 hour number provided. Even if you confirmed a check in time. This way we can have a guest relations manager waiting to check you in. Our property inventory get checked before and after each stay and our inventory updated. It is not acusing you of breaking something, it was not listed as broken before you checked in. That is why the item got listed as broken during your stay. The stay was superb once we had made contact with the agent. The number on Hotels.com site is an office number for Monday - Saturday and we arrived on Sunday. Suggest website is updated to ask clients to contact the office number with time of arrival on a working day

Geen city view, wel goed gelegen hotel
Smerige kamer niet gedweild. Op het balkon in de pLantebak allemaal sigaretten peuken. Prullenbak kapot. Geen handzeep/ afwasmiddel. Na wisselen kamer uitzicht op afgebroken snelweg erg jammer. Moeilijk om contact te krijgen met contact persoon.

Nice accomodation
The hotel, location and amenities were all satisfactory, security staff very helpful. However, at the time of booking I was unaware that Total Stay staff were not on site, and we were advised that the on site "home from home" staff should not be approached as the accommodation had nothing to do with them. The security staff thankfully contacted Total Stay to come to the accommodation to check Me in. I was then given a business card by Leslie from Total Stay with contact details if we had a problem. However this was not helpful when the only communication I had was via wifi, when that went down I had no means to get in touch. Fortunately this problem was rectified in time for me to do my on line check in for my flight home on the wifi. I emailed Leslie on Friday 24th Feb and as yet I am still awaiting a reply!

Bien situé, car à distance de marche du Waterfront, centre-ville, autobus, épicerie, resto. Toutefois tres bruyant car juste à côté de l'autoroute. Pas de linge à vaisselle et on a manqué de papier de toilette.

Convenient to Conference Centre
As its quite a lonely street, I wouldn't recommend walking around at night, best to use an Uber even for short distances. Best to contact the operator in advance to arrange an exact time to meet and collect the key - there was no-one there despite arriving at 4pm (advertised check-in 2pm - 6pm). The number provided on the booking email is for business hours only, and I arrived on a Sunday, so I got their answering machine. Fortunately the building security staff had a mobile number and someone came to check me in about 15 minutes after they called. The apartment was nice but the bed was too firm for my tastes. Cleaning each day was excellent. There is a large SPAR nearby in Somerset Rd that has groceries, salad bar etc. Apartment 108 is on the first floor with a balcony that connects to the gym area and pool (there is just a screen between them. This apartment did not feel like a particularly secure location, if like me, you are a woman travelling on your own.

unfortunately it is right next to the freeway and very noisy. Also construction work in the building and started at 7am on Saturday morning with drilling Our check in was a joke. No one at the property. No mention on our itinerary to say we should ring someone before arrival. When we got to the property it was confusing. The security guard helped and found someone who came. no keys to the apartment so the housekeeping key was given to us with a promise to return with a set of keys and a garage remote. 3 hours later still no one came. after several phone calls someone eventually came with a remote but no keys The room had not been serviced properly. Missing towels and toiletries which were provided the next morning The manager did say he would return with these items but we were sick of waiting so went out. As they didn't have keys they couldnt access the apartment to leave the items . Check out was just as confusing Also no one advised that there was a 10000 rand charge held for breakages

A bit noisy
First of all it is important to note that these rooms are rented by a company that administrate private apartments. No problem at all with that, but just to be aware there is no person at site, but they give you phone numbers and contacts in case you need anything. We were checked in by Antonio, who was very nice and organized. Apartment is well conserved and exactly like in the pictures. Beds are confortable and bathrooms are nice. My apartment (306) was facing the busy avenue which as pretty noisy so I had to keep windows shut all the time. Another thing is, even though it is a short distance to the waterfront, streets in the area are pretty empty and dark at night, which made us uncomfortable to walk, specially with children. So, we basically used our car for everything during the trip.

The apartment was great. The aspects that I did not like were:- 1. Advertised that it had DStv, there was only 1 channel working, Ignition. Reported that and it was not resolved. I consider this as false advertising. 2. Upon check-in I was presented with two agreements to sign, one was for the apartment and required my credit card details on order to debit my card up to an amount of R10,000.00 for breakages, etc. This was not disclosed on Hotels.com website. 3. I was also asked to sign a noise level declaration agreement to would result in fines being levied should there be any complaints by neighbours. This was not declared on Hotels.com 4. The cleaning of the room was not up to standard. On the day of arrival there were two small bottles, one shower gel and one shampoo, each were 30ml. This was provided by Total Stay. During ,y 5 day stay, this was not replenished so the expectation was that 30ml of body was was expected to last me the entire 5 days. 5. Toilet roll was scarce as well. Had to purchase my own to ensure i did not run out. 6. The safe in the room did not work. Reported this to them upon check-in and was still not fixed upon my departure. 7. The place has a gym but not available to Total Stay customers.

I arrived @ the apartment on Monday afternoon after a long day travelling from Durban. I was met by a gentleman at the premises who required some details to fill in on an arrival form, which i assumed is just address, tel and so on. What amazed me, is that he required my credit card details, when i say credit card details, i mean the full number as it appears on the card, the expiry date, name on card, as well as the CCV Number at the back of the card. Now all this is written down in a book. Who as access to this book, i cannot tell. So i refused to give out this information and one does not have to be a rocket scientist to know that credit card fraud is on a massive increase globally. He insisted and that i provided this information, which i refused. I called the office of Total Stay in Cape Town, and they also insisted that this is procedure and they will require credit card details to be written in their arrival form. I was adamant that this was crazy, so the lady asked for a R5000 cash deposit. Thereafter, i decided to call Hotels.com and was greeted by an extremely polite gentleman, who fully agreed that this was not acceptable. He asked me to stay on the line while he tries to resolve the situation which he did after about five minutes. He asked me not to provide my credit card details. This took up abt an hour of my time, which is totally unacceptable. However, i must conclude by saying that the apartment was great and I had a good stay.
