The inside of the rooms is actually very well done and there are even stoves available for cooking if needed. It was also quiet and everything went well.

Enjoyable experience
I needed a place that was affordable, had kitchen privileges and gave me privacy. I am going through some medical procedures and when I get tired, I need to rest. HAT MOTEL allowed me to do that. The building is old, but the shower was hot, fridge and stove worked. The staff took care of me and assisted me like family would. But they did not ask as many questions as family did. If you want a clean living area that allows you comfort and peace, this is the place. If you are looking for luxury, you wont be happy. Myself, I will be back in the spring. The staff and front desk was kind and helpful. I wish I could have taken them back home with me!!

Good size fridge, lots of kitchen supplies. Very small rooms, took half the night to cool down the rooms.

We never had the chance to check in. Check in time is 3 to 10. We got there at 310 and it was locked up and nobody there. We phoned no answer. We went back at 5. Lock and nobody there. We found another motel.

Ok well the owner resolved a concern very quickly and made arrangements with me on another matter about the stay and it was a very positive experience. If anything about my review seems like it's missing something, it's because Hotels.com sent me this review in Spanish...I'm Canadian, I haven't even mastered French yet... anyways.

I booked on Expedia based on 2 adults, but was told by the property that the 2nd person was an additional $10/night. The room was a non-smoking room, but smelled very strongly of smoke, and the shower had (what I assumed to be) nicotine staining that dripped yellow when wet. Otherwise, the room was clean enough, the property was quiet, and the air conditioner was effective. Would stay here again in a pinch.

The owner was very warm and welcoming. We had a lovely chat when I was checking in, and he gave me the choice of two rooms. I would definitely recommend for a stop over in Med Hat. It was clean and quiet. For the price you can’t beat it!

For an older motel, it was very clean and, the room came with a little kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable. I was late arriving and had no problem with that. The owner was waiting for my arrival!

Enjoyed the quality of the kitchen appliances, and the cozzy-nes of the room. The outside of the motes looks rough, yet inside it was warm and comfortable. Bed spreads and towels should be changed though, as their state is beyond expiration date.

It was not safe the manager and staff were not on site to hslp in the night when i was locked out of my room. There was zero staff or assistance and i had to call the police to help me get back into my room

Well I was never given my refund, and when I told the owner how I felt about how I was treated, he literally said, Sorry for your loss. As in, sorry you booked 3 nights but I will not refund you and now your out 150$, sorry for your loss

The motel is nice placed in medicine hat and the room is really practical with s small kitchen the was comfortable but i didn’t try the bedding.

Don't let the outside fool you. Rooms are mostly renovated. In my room they hadn't got to the bathroom but the rest of the room was great. My only let down were the linens on the bed. They were old and cheap so they pilled. Great price but when you add the surcharge for 2 small dogs made it the same as the better hotels.

Smoking rooms are typically less favourable. Bed should've been fine since we replaced them over the summer but I am sorry that you found it uncomfortable.

Best little motel in the Hat!
The owners of this hotel are Angels for helping me and my kids out on a long stay for medical treatment. This little motel is a bit dated but adequate and very reasonably priced! I would highly recommend!

Okay if you safe looking for something cheap
No staff member can actually help you. Or that’s what I was told trying to check in 3 times during the day, I actually got a room when I called at 10:30 at night saying I was counting on this room and not driving back 4 hours to get home it was an overall disappointment and the heat never actually worked so be causious.

I do not believe it happened. We always have good housekeeping and maintenance is done regularly. I wish you notified to the office when it happened so we could do something about it.

Old and dated. Hotel staff was odd when asking me if I had a smoke upon check in.was scared to bring bags in my room. Twin bed was very uncomfortable.
