The property is very dated, but Route 66 history is everywhere. The owner was great!!! He is very knowledgeable about all things Kingsman.

This is a wonderful historic motel, run by friendly enthusiast people. We enjoyed learning about the property and Kingman’s history from them.

The room was fine. The outside and property grounds were a bit rough looking. Pool didn't have any water in it. The hotel office was cluttered, pretty un professional looking, which is putting it kindly. The guy checking us in was nice and friendly. Just a bit unprofessional in presentation of their office and check in. Probably won't stay there again. It wasn't the worst place we've stayed in, but there's nothing there to be excited about. Sorry for the not so good review, it could just be better is all.

Don't Miss This Gem
The owners have poured so much love into this place. The murals and the individual decor in each room (we had the Audrey Hepburn room) added much to the experience. We were having trouble with the wifi (we were trying to watch a streaming religious service) and the maintenance guy came to our room two or three times in the evening to try to resolve it. It never got resolved, but you can't top the effort and service. Sam the owner is an original; he's going to give you the history of the motel and the town. Checking into this place isn't so much a formality as it is a commitment. Monica his wife is charming and so proud of what they've done with the place. El Trovatore is a don't-miss on Route 66.

An overnight in Kingman!
We were doing a short span of Rt 66 and decided to book this hotel because of its charm and connection to Rt 66. The owner welcomed us with a brief history of the hotel and past guests that was nice to hear. All of the rooms are themed rooms. They were clean and comfortable. The exterior of the buildings were painted with a variety of murals and it was a very inviting area.

We loved this motel. If you are wanting a different experience than a chain, this is worth checking out. When we are back in Kingman, we are staying here!

The owners were very nice. They give you a detailed historical account of this classic Route 66 establishment as well as the town of Kingman. Then give you advice on where to eat and how to get around. Very enjoyable conversation.

Accueil par le propriétaire de l'hôtel super agréable, chouette avec beaucoup de sympathie. Celui-ci nous donne un plan de la ville et nous indiques les endroits à voire, où manger, nous raconte l'historique de la ville et des anecdotes. Ce fut un très bon moment avec quelques tranches d'humour. Hotel/motel typique de la route 66, resté pour notre plus grand plaisir dans son jus. On se croit revenu dans dans les années 50 à 60. Chambre simple, mais confortable et correctement équipée. Les propriétaires extrêmement sympathique sont vraiment attentifs et soucieux que leurs clients passe un bon séjour. Magnifique expérience que l'on n'hésitera pas de refaire si l'occasion nous est donnée. Si vous êtes habitué au 5 étoiles, qu'une petite toile d'araignée ou un petit cheveux dans l'évier vous rebute, cet endroit n'est pas fait pour vous. Cependant, si vous aimez comme nous l'authenticité et les expériences hors du temps et hors du commun, ne réfléchissez plus. Foncé.

Sam, the proprietor, is extremely knowledgeable of El Travatore’s past history and he’s very knowledgeable of Kingman and the surrounds. If you are looking for an authentic experience this historic hotel is the real deal! I’m tired of the chain hotels, and am enjoying the history of the El Trovatore!

This place is located superbly to get into downtown or new Kingman parts and it looks just gorgeous! But the lightning within the room/bathroom is too dark and it could be much cleaner in general. Otherwise a fun place to stay for one night and the owner is such a really nice guy!

Der Empfang war recht ulkig da der Gastwirt viel erzählt hatte, was sehr gut rüber kam. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, etwas alt aber dafür auch sehr günstig.

We enjoyed the historic charm of this motel on Route 66. The bathroom was clean. The sheets were nice and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed talking with the owners to learn a little more about this historic stop on Route 66. It was built in the 1930s so expect it to be more "rustic" than a new motel and just enjoy the history. We will stay here again the next time we travel through Kingman.

El Trovatore - Kingman AZ Classic
This hotel was clean, but it is definitely a historical classic. Cute how the rooms are theme based. When we initially drove by I was a bit skeptical, but it was fine. No frills, no coffee in the rooms, but Mr. D’s is just down the road and a fun little spot to grab breakfast.

Short two day stay, more than fulfilled expectations for a vintage hotel. Great location. Sam is a great host. Loved the themed Marilyn Monroe room! Very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again.
