The property is amazing, surrounding nature anywhere you look. Perfect place for a short stay, not much to do out of the hotel grounds. The bar and the restaurant have great food and drink options, not very pricey (drinks are $10-12, main dishes $15-$30 in Dec 2023).

Green, peaceful mountain hotel
Beautiful mountain hotel , very peaceful and enjoyable. Walks in the green tropical forest. Breakfast wasn´t the best. Even though we were the only ones in the dining room, the waiter didn´t remember small requests. But the place is awesome!

Tucked away, a long bumpy road to get back there. Once there very quiet small resort and very friendly staff. Not so many people, more older adults on our trip. Restaurant on site was excellent, very reasonable prices. Fireplaces in the room was a nice touch for a very rustic experience.

Good escape!
The Villa Blanca is an out of the way oasis. However, the road to get there is a Costa Rican nightmare. The new owner hopes to rectify that in the future. The food was very good and service very attentive. There are few activities here, but a wonderful way to relax for a day or two.

Very personable hotel. Everyone was super welcoming. Things the hotel offers: game area, movie theatre, frog/plant area, you can milk a cow in the morning, get body massage. The food in the restaurant was very good, we looked forward to eating there and it never disappointed us. I recommend the night tour (and I hate bugs) but it very educational and cool, the guide was great. There is a trail to walk around the property on your own as well. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The road to get to the hotel was in poor condition which was a bit annoying. We stayed 1 full day and a night and it was just enough, but we like to rush things, so perhaps another day for someone who likes to enjoy the quite time.

Villa Blanca Cloud Forest is amazing. The drive, albeit beautiful, is long and bumpy- and will have you wondering if you have made the correct decision on where to stay. Once you arrive you will realize that you have entered a unique experience unlike anything else. The grounds are impeccable and amazing. The staff is great. The rooms, adorned with handcrafted local hardwoods are unlike anything you have seen before. A must visit- words cannot describe this place.

Perfect get away hotel. Loved the private cinema, the views, the friendliness of the staff and also the location. Close to San Ramon but still very quiet and in feels close to nature.

so I loved this hotel the first few nights. But there is a lot of stuff that I need to warn others. There's nothing to do here besides a few nature walks. There is a lovely fireplace in each cabin and the cabins are lovely but there is a very very long and bumpy ride to get to the villa. I literally cringe thinking about this 45 minute road just to get access to the property. The service is great, the food is great but it's all very VERY expensive. If you do not have a car, transportation is expensive. There is nothing within walking distance. So most people are at day tours all day. There are no activities other than a night tour and a tour of the property. Is it gorgeous? Yes. But there is no sun. It's rainy or misty all the time. Yes, it's a cloud forest, but I just say, BE AWARE that if you expect other things to do, there's nothing but a pool table. There's a mini cinema. But it's wet and damp. Food is exceptional, but be prepared to pay a fairly decent bill. I still give this place 5 stars. It's unique, but it's not a place for a 7 day visit.

A place where you can explore, learn, rest, eat delicious and rest in the middle of nowhere. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. They all knew my name, say hi every time we met and made things really confortable and easy. The reserve is huge and worth the walks through the woods. The night walk with a guy is totally worth the trip. One of the best hotels I stayed in CR

Espectacular estadía
Este hotel ofrece una estadía maravillosa tanto para el turista nacional como el extranjero. Cuidan cada detalle para que todo funcione de maravilla. El personal (recepción, botones, restaurante, lechería, seguridad en la entrada, mantenimiento y limpieza) es sumamente amable. El señor de la lechería nos dio una charla muy entretenida. La capilla es una de las más hermosas del país, pues su techo tiene más de 300 cerámicas pintadas a mano que recogen tradiciones importantes de Costa Rica. De hecho, sería una buena idea tener a alguien explicándolas, al menos en ciertos horarios. Las caminatas son agradables, nada demandantes y con un espectáculo de colibríes bellísimo. Un único consejo para los huéspedes es traer repelente, pues aunque no hay mosquitos de noche aparecen insectos propios del bosque nuboso. El desayuno es delicioso e incluye quesos, yogurt y jaleas hechas en el hotel. Con respecto al menú de la aunque los precios no son exageradamente caros, sería bueno incluir al menos un par de platillos con un precio más cómodo, pensando en el turista nacional. Gracias por tan linda experiencia.

The setting is very pretty. Breakfast and dinner is great. They have a really good chef. The entire staff needs to be praised. Nice nature reserve onsite with good tour guide. The rooms could use some minor upgrades. Overall a very nice relaxing stay. Also the massage therapist is very good. Milking a cow in the morning was one of the highlights.

Love everything about Villa Blanca. A TV would be nice when kept inside due to weather.

Stunning property
We had the most amazing time! The property was absolutely gorgeous. We had a 4 yr old with us that LOVED milking the cows and the night walk. Hope to return someday.
