The village is nice, we came in after dark so have not seen the full area. There is a lot of renovation going on so looking forward to exploring during the day. People working this location are excellent, professional and helpful!

This property was conveniently located near hiking trails. It also had fun activities for families. Having a restaurant on site was a plus. My only issue was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The toilet and tub in our room needed a good thorough scrubbing.

Quiet, but not the best place we have stayed
We stayed in a member owned cottage. The cottages are modular mobile home-type structures. Pretty area. Quiet. Complete furnishings like an Air B and B with full size fridge, dishes, etc. Generally clean but some mold/dirt on floor moulding, etc. Only two pillows in the unit which was a bit of of pain since my wife and I each use 2 for posture reasons. The AC was very noisy. Also, no blow dryer in the room. My wife has morovised by using the AC vent. Internet only works in some areas of the property.

Nice place
Very nice location, quiet and secluded, but it did need a little more cleaning but bring some extra snacks as you are limited to their restaurants and their is no other options for 20 miles.

my door key failed every day and I left my bathroom supply, had used all shampoo and had to ask front desk the next day even after room service made the room.

Great family vacation spot
The service people were very helpful and the accommodations were comfortable. The rooms could use some updating but the area outweigh the average condition of the rooms. Having the Fontana Lake available with pontoon boats was a real plus

The area is beautiful, and the pools were nice. The rooms were comfortable and cleanish. Having putt-putt golf and frisbee golf and scheduled activities was nice. You can’t beat $1 kids scoop at the ice creAm place. Be sure to check out the dam. The property shows some wear. For multi-night visitors, if you want your bed made, be sure not to leave *anything* on the bed. I poured coffee down the sink one day, and the dried coffee splatter remained in the sink after “cleaning.” They will not make it. They weren’t too concerned when I pointed out there were no towels at the pool, suggesting I walk over to another office to let them know. (It was only a 3-4 minute walk, but they didn’t offer to call.) The food got a bit tiresome after a short while, and it’s a bit far to go for a change. The general store was very limited on food items. That said, we definitely recommend checking out Bryson City and the Oconaluftee Indian Village in Cherokee, which make good excuses to eat elsewhere. We’d stay again, but would figure out the food issue ahead of time.

Nice open layout of the property. Two things though, the grill needs to be open later and the property WiFi was not very good. I stayed 1 night in a cabin and 2 nights in the resort and I was unable to connect in either place. Without cell service in this area this is the only communication I had with family back home. My wife was trying to get a hold of me and could not reach me, I would expect better WiFi in a resort in 2019.

Due to our location, (surrounded by Forest Service and the National Park), our cell service within the Resort is extremely spotty. We do offer free Wi-Fi and Verizon cell service in our public areas, (including the Lodge Lobby, General Store, Pit Stop, Marina, Wildwood Grill and Bistro). There is no charge to use a land line phone for local, toll free or incoming calls, but long distance does have a $1.50 connection fee and .95 per minute. This is disclosed on our check-in paperwork. Your feedback is important to us at Fontana Village Resort as we strive for great customer service and an enjoyable experience from our valued guests.

Hidden Gem especially for New Years Eve
It was a last minute planned New Years trip. The price especially for New Years Eve was affordable. Enjoyed the restaurant, the Aaron Tracy band, and accommodations. The manager Sarah of the restaurant was fabulous.

Wonderful!
Wonderful accommodations for our family! The lodge was beautifully decorated for Christmas, our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable! Staff was helpful and polite. We definitely recommend Fontana Village Resort!

Beautiful setting. A lot of amenties not available during colder months. Restaurant: the food was delicious but took over an hour and a half to get food. Some food was cold when it arrived for other guests in our party. Rooms are very basic but clean. The beds are so umcomfortable we left a day early.

Located in a gorgeous wooded area! Nice character and welcoming! Very nice location. Furniture was outdated and bed was very small and uncomfortable. Very small bathroom.

Our weekend stay
Overall very pleasant. The price very good. The desk personnel and other staff very nice and cordial. Room was dated, drapes old, bed, spreads, etc old, carpet old, and bathroom fixtures really need to be changed out. Still, everything worked and I really had a good time. I love the location

Second time at the resort. LOVE this place and area around it. We spent a week riding the area roads on our motorcycles and taking in the beautiful scenery. We will be back!

The area was secluded in the mountains and really quiet. There was no cell reception in the rooms, but there was a signal booster in the lobby so you could connect and make phone calls.

We like the view but the property is run down. There are plans growing in the gutter. Not enough of equipment in the room starting with no place to put your cosmetics. No place at all! No refrigerator or microwave. Swimming pool - there should be a line between deep and shallow swimming areas. The bottom is slippery and shallow goes abruptly into deep. The stuff has no ideas about the surrounding trails. Very overpriced place for what it offers! It just offers a pretty view but that is not enough.

The quiet, peaceful atmosphere. It was very clean and neat. The proximity to Fontana Dam and lake was very convenient Our room was nice and spacious with a good view of the property.
