This is a very beautiful resort facing the ocean. The resort has its own beach access and it has its own vista points which are more picturesque than other vista points you might see in Albion and Little River area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They really make sure that you are comfortable. The restaurant has delicious entrees for dinner and their Brussel sprout appetizer dish is amazing. The beds are comfortable and the ocean facing rooms we stayed in had a balcony with chairs where we could sit and watch the waves all day. It’s worth the price as the hospitality is great.

One of the best places we have ever stayed. From the moment we walked in to check in, the service was perfect. Duck was fantastic at helping us, and we even got a free upgrade and a bottle of wine. The inside of the room was like from a movie. We absolutely loved everything about the property. The views are just breathtaking. Can’t wait to go back

Good location, poorly maintained. We stayed at the Redwood house and did not match their web site. The house had a very old smell like it has not been used or maintained. False advertisement, not worth the cost.

We have been coming here for 20yrs. This was our 4th visit. The ocean views are still incredible which was the only real positive thing to say about our visit. I'll begin by saying that the hotel is skimpy and is very understaffed. We had a Nat infestation in our room. The Samsung TV and streaming were not user friendly. The remote didn't work for our ceiling fan in our room, and they ignored our request for maintenance. They allow dogs everywhere. We were almost attacked by another guest's dog as we entered the lounge. The staff person in the lounge did not apologize and then told us there no seats available. When I pointed out that there were 5 empty tables, he immediately got on the defensive saying he was the only one to handle an overwhelming number of tables and that I should be patient. Sadly, we will not be recommending our family or friends to visit this place. After 20 years of this being our favorite destination on the California coastline, it was very disappointing to see the decline in amenities, upkeep and customer service. :( We are shocked that they are still charging the high room prices. We will not be returning and will search for another establishment where there is no skimping, and the details of communication, staffing, upkeep and customer service are still a priority for their guests!

unfortunately we had power outage and no wifi connection from evening to next day until we checked out

We do apologize; unfortunately, this outage was out of our control. PG&E had a last minute life and safety issue they had to repair.

The site is terrific, the rooms/cabins are nice but ours had some weird layout (closet couldn't be opened all the way) and the Dish TV system is ghastly (remote/channel control). Food is ok, though limited. People are wonderful - especially Guillermo who had to creatively fix the door to our unit and did it with can-do spirit - he and Allan were great.

The best location you could ever hope for. It is very beautiful, quiet and had some of the most comfortable beds. Lovely bath products, heated bathroom floors and friendly staff. Loved the fire pit and stunning views. Their breakfast was also included and very tasty. Since you are among the trees, there is quite a bit of spiders and bugs around. They could do a better job of clearing the spiderwebs and a lot of them are all over the balcony patios. Overall, a very cozy stay. Appreciated the welcome wine.

Great property- but needs more services please
The property was great for us and our dogs! Comfy & beautiful view and ample room to roam. Cute deer! Unfortunately, there is very little service for those extra perks like room service or even beverages for the room. The dining area opens at 5 and you cannot even get a bottle of wine before that. So we stocked up at the Mendocino market and serviced ourselves. But great location and comfortable stay.

Book it! What a phenomenal place
Book it! I cannot say enough positive things about our experience here. From the time we checked in we were treated as if we were VIP. The front desk staff was welcoming and generous enough to upgrade us as well as provide a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. We had an exquisite room and even more beautiful grounds! I honestly wish we had more than one night here. We cannot wait to return!!

The room was poorly organized: the closet door would not fully open, there were no drawers for clothing. 2 separate housekeeping staff failed to bring requested supplies. Doors to bathroom are heavy and badly balanced. Very disappointed.

This place is very gorgeous and their property is big and walkable. You can enjoy some wonderful ocean views without interruptions! I will be back. Restaurant food was always good and staff is very nice ..we enjoyed talking to them. They also had good cocktails. Our room was great with a fireplace and an ocean view. Large king-sized bed, and heated floors in the bathroom. Plus they had coffe and fridge. The only thing I noticed that could be improved was our walls had a lot of scuffs and scratches on them, the baseboards too.. repainting could really brighten the place up for the guests.
