The room needed updating and the parking structure was being built so we had to park in a field across the street. Breakfast was very good each morning and the ladies took care to make sure everything was hot and replenished. They were very friendly. The staff at the check in were very friendly.

I wouldn’t stay there ever again - old, dirty, the staff were demoralized and past caring, there wasn’t even sap in my room.

The property is somewhat dated but is made up by the friendly staff. The hallways are clean and with the exception of our bath room vent that was dusty it was an overall good experience. Nothing beautiful but got the job done.

Temporary parking was poor. Across the street, open air and it was raining but there was room to unload right outside the hotel before parking. Local restaurants were fine and easily walkable if it had been dry weather. There should be a restaurant open in the hotel. Breakfast was excelent.

Entering the lobby was so peaceful with the beautiful water wall! The hotel is under construction but it is not obtrusive or inconvenient. The room was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good, fresh, and hot. Great price for a nice place to stay close to attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were no funky smells or anything like that.

I would not recommend staying at this property. The parking situation is terrible - their only option is a parking lot catty corner to the hotel and is not particularly close, the bar in the lobby was dark and closed when I arrived at 8pm on a Tuesday, my room smelled like it was a former smoking room, the in room TV was small and not high definition and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. In short, there was nothing redeeming about my stay at this property.

Hi Brian! I am not sure if you saw the construction going on behind us, but it is the new parking garage and will have hotel access once complete. Until then, we have no choice, but to use the lot across from the hotel. We do apologize for your inconvenience and regret that you were not pleased with your stay. The building and furnishings really need a freshen-up, but our room was clean and the staff are super nice. I slept well and the linens were fresh smelling. As of March 2024 there is construction of a parking deck adjacent to the building and no covered parking or parking on the property at all during construction. Plenty of free parking across the street, but it’s public and no fence, so we had to bring all our things indoors, snowboards, bikes, etc.

Capital Plaza has a great location. Parking is a challenge. They are building a new ramp and thusly you have to park in the farmer’s market down the road. BUT…. Them they tell you can’t be there on Saturday during the day because they market is there! This is an older hotel and definitely needs some updating. No food or bar. Once again though, Great location!

HI Brenda! We are in a state of transition with the parking. We have a brand new parking garage being built behind us, but it is not completed as of yet. We do use the Farmer's Market lot for now until it is completed. I am sorry you were inconvenienced. We do hope you enjoyed the rest of your visit.

Upon arriving didn’t know where I was supposed to park. Construction is definitely happening to the hotel and to the parking garage. Pool was closed my daughter asked why and we were told and they offered we go to a different hotel down the way. We did because my child wanted to go swimming all she talked about. I did like that checkout is at 12 gave us time to go the capital and do the morning tour.

I am very sorry about your experience. We had glass get into the pool which requires us to drain and clean for the safety our guests. We have already cleaned and refilled the pool and it is back in operation. We do hope the rest of your visit was more enjoyable.

The shower curtain in the shower/tub was disgusting! There was a ton of mildew on the shower head. The vent in the bathroom was filthy also. I felt the need to take pictures and everything. Plus the coffee maker and cups were in the bathroom! That’s just gross. The lamps were pretty dusty also. Plus construction started outside my window at 7:10am!

Room was good. Sink drain needs some TLC. Adding on to the parking ramp so you have to park across the street at the farmers market parking lot. Breakfast food and staff were excellent.

This is an older property, but very clean. I swam laps in the pool for exercise; the temperature of the water was good. Breakfast was very good; far more selection than I normally see at other hotels.
