Hotel location is excellent. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Hotel room was a little worn and needed updating. Layout of room was well done it consisted of bedroom, sitting room and bathroom (with bath and shower combination.

Seems like an older historic property. What they lack in appearance they make up for it in the way you are treated. Courteous staff who hussles, nice kettle in room with choices. Great restaurant. Good nights rest!

Tied hotel.
Very dated. Paint peeling off the ceiling and wall paper missing. Shower not working and silicone around bath black and mouldy. Carpets had stains on them and transformer plugged in roof so works can be carried on outside.

Good for a short stop,
Were not advised about the building work and scaffolding that was erected front and back. Note to other users. While it states there is no reception. There is a reception desk at the front entrance. The car park is on the left of the building as you face it. Easy to miss. Bit of a squeeze. You will need to register at reception. Whilst the rooms are clean they are showing signs of wear and tear. Also lighting is very dim. You can eat in the Pub bar or restaurant the menu is the same. Food was good.

Friendly and inviting
The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. The room was clean and comfy and the breakfast was really nice, the only thing I would say is the coffee at breakfast was Luke warm at best and even though I asked for another coffee pot it was still only luke warm when they bought it out but other than that I couldn’t fault it. I would definately go back again

Mixed feelings but great staff!
We had an overnight weekend stay for a wedding. The service was very good - reception were very helpful and friendly, same as bar staff. However, the condition of the building upstairs was poor. The Kings Arms is in dire need of a makeover. There was a lot of peeling paint, threadbare carpets and the bathroom needed a big revamp, with the toilet seat not squarely on the lavatory and a lot of brown mildew staining round the shower screen.

"You pay for what you get" is often heard. The hotel is a little 'tired' and in need of some TLC and the WIFI was no use in room 10. (It is being replaced so hopefully that issue will not reoccur) However every staff member was more than welcoming and always very willing to assist (as was the Manager who was identified at Breakfast. I've stayed twice now and each room was well equipped with far more than Travelodge of Premier Inn - besides a great selection of hot drinks, a bottle of water and I noticed Hair-dryer (don't need it), Iron / Ironing board (didn't use it). Food is excellent quality, cost and is presented well. Communal areas are clean and tidy. I will stay again.

Convenient and well priced - excellent staff
Very friendly - splendid food and helpful and attentive staff - budget reflected in some detail 'patina' of fittings but a comfortable and clean environment

Elegante coaching inn
Great location for visiting local national trust properties. Very good service from all the staff we encountered . We didn't have breakfast but the evening meals were fairly priced and good quality. The bedroom was spacious and had a very comfortable bed , but some attention to detail with regards to cleaning would be good .

Although the decor is tired in places (a coat hanger was used to prop open the sash window in our room, our room was comfortable and the staff were excellent. Free car parking and good food and drink were also available, while the location in the heart of Westerham was lovely.

Worst hotel ever
The stay at this hotel was terrible. States that it is wheelchair friendly but it is not at all suitable for someone like me who is disabled.

Cheap and worn out but nice staff
Worn out and loud. No way to hang up a towel in bathroom,on street rooms noisy, carpet is threadbare. Breakfast was ok. Staff nice but this is basically a bar with some very old rooms upstairs.

Lovely staff but rooms are getting too over tired
The reception lady was excellent but the rooms are so tired and we need to stay at least several times a month so we know what we are getting but this time in room 11 the shower was broken and there was no hot water , we don’t expect allot but for £100 you expect at least the minimum ! The staff are great can’t fault them but each room by room just needs new windows and showers and it will be passable, for the price you need to upgrade the rooms basics at least

The hotel is tired with worn carpets, damage to building and generaly lacking in maintenance. The bed was clean and comforatable and the breakfast good. Dinner was mediacre (I should have dined out!)

Absolutely horrid rooms, carpet dirty and threadbare had black mould around the windows, one window didn’t open and the other one we had to hold it up with a bin, sink did not empty after about an hour, bath was dirty..

Would not stay again
Unfortunately we would not stay here again & cannot recommend it. The staff are lovely & do their best although very short staffed. The room we had was in extremely poor condition with top of tap missing & tap leaking. Bathroom floor has water damage & is lifting up. Toilet has ground in dirt. The lights didn’t work properly - we had to have bathroom light on to get bedroom light to work . The window was broken we had to use a coat hanger to open it. The windows are absolutely filthy with ground in dirt. Whilst the whole place is in need of refurbishment a deep clean would have at least helped. We knew there were no other rooms available so just had to put up with it for one night. In the morning we waited well over 30 minutes for a cooked breakfast which was cold when it arrived.

It was adequate for my stay, nice local village settings. Menu for di er wasnt very extensive but did. Room was rather warm and no knob to be able to turn it down and window only opens a few inches. Only other drawback was only a few of the channels on the TV worked. Breakfast is very well priced and a good range

Comfy hotel & friendly staff.
A great stay following a local wedding, huge room with triple aspect windows & big bed. It was a very comfortable room with tea/coffee facilities. Some creaky floor boards on the way to our room outside room 3 but it didn’t affect us at all. Check in times between 2 & 10 where slightly awkward as we had to leave the wedding to go & check in then return back to carry on dancing!! If I’m ever back that way I will stay again.

I have never experienced such a poor standard of accommodation as offered here. The reviews which I unfortunately had not read have been poor since 2019 and clearly nothing has been done to address these issues. I shall be complaining at the highest level and expecting a full refund.

A pleasant stay, well situated, comfortable
This establishment gives greater attention to the pub side of the business than the hotel. For example our room was not serviced Sunday, so no milk was left. I told George at 16.50 of this, and offered to stay in the bar while someone brought it to me. He said that he would deliver it to the room. By 18.00 no milk had been delivered so I returned to the bar and George said that he had been too busy. The waiting staff were very attentive but the breakfast bar lacked a number of items which had to be requested spoons etc. These were quickly provided but I had the impression that the staff were not properly managed. A Check list would be a sensible suggestion. I had the impression that the hotel side of the business was new and that it needs time to be organised. However the comfort of the room and general attitude of the staff means that my wife and I will return regularly. Value for money was good.

Decor very tired, cleanliness not great, broken toilet seat in our room, hole in bedlinen, pane of glass broken in window, has secondary glazing but really dirty between main outside window and secondary glazing. Room 15 for reference
