Notre maison réunit en effet en un même lieu un boutique hôtel, un restaurant gastronomique, un rooftop ainsi qu’une scène jazz de réputation internationale. Les personnes qui choisissent de résider chez nous le font généralement en connaissance de chose avec l’objectif de vivre une expérience unique à bien des égards. Alors, effectivement, les personnes recherchant un séjour classique pour simplement se reposer ont tout intérêt à choisir un riad traditionnel. Il en existe plusieurs centaines dans la médina de Marrakech. Le choix est donc vaste.Cela étant rappelé, il convient de préciser que vous n’êtes resté chez nous qu’une seule nuit et, par manque de chance, ce soir là nous avons un groupe de clients qui s’est attardé sur le rooftop ce qui s’est traduit par des nuisances sonores inhabituelles jusqu'à une heure tardive, chose que nous regrettons et pour laquelle nous vous prions de bien vouloir nous excuser.

We're always keen to know what can be improved.Regarding wifi, we already have 2 fiber optic networks which is probably more than any other hotel in the country, but it is Morocco nonetheless, it is Marrakech, it is an historical center... and things do not always work here as they should. That's part of the experience. Part of the charm...

Dear Mia,Thank you for leaving us your review and sorry that, unlike our other guests, you did not enjoy your stay.However, from what I can understand, the main complaint is that you had to wait before you could use your room.However, the explanation is simple since you arrived around noon while our check-in time is, like in most hotels around the world, from 2 p.m. So, yes, you had to wait a bit but that's just the way things are and we have nothing to do with it.As for the rest, please allow me to clarify the following points:1/ Contrary to what you imply, your transfer from the airport was organized in a completely normal manner;2/ In order to compensate for your wait upon arrival, we offered you your transfer to the Four Seasons where you had an appointment;3/ To thank us for this goodwill gesture, you stole a pillow from us when you left, something of which we informed Expedia.

You obviously did not enjoy your stay and we are sincerely sorry.Riad Monceau is one of the highest rated luxury establishments in Marrakech. This is due, in particular, to its exceptional location, right next to Jemaa El Fna square. But, yes, it’s Morocco, it’s Marrakech, and it’s the historic center. For all these reasons, the first piece of advice we give to our customers is to use our own airport transfer service in order, precisely, to avoid being confronted with the problems you mention. You preferred to ignore our advice, you arrived on your own, so you lived the “Morocco experience”, pleasant certainly, but somewhat oppressive, especially when you do not know the local culture. This has nothing to do with us and so it seems somewhat unfair to blame us for it. Next time, don’t hesitate to listen to our advice like 95% of our customers do.For the rest, our 5 stars, awarded both by local tourism authorities and by Google users, are part of the current hotel industry which is based not on accessories like bidets – considered obsolete for more than 30 years – but on the notion of “experience”. Today's travelers want to experience something unique, special, so that their vacation leaves them with lasting memories.The experience must first of all be human, which comes, as you rightly point out, through the staff and the welcome. And from this point of view, Riad Monceau is unanimously hailed as a true little paradise on Earth as the people there are kind, welcoming, helpful and attentive to the smallest detail. This also involves the atmosphere, the quality of the setting, the decor. Finally, this involves an offer of activities and services. Riad Monceau has chosen to focus on the table, with 2 exceptional restaurants and music. We offer international-level jazz concerts every evening. As for our bar, it offers what many consider to be the best cocktails in town.All this explains and justifies the very good reputation of Riad Monceau, an establishment often cited as an example by local tourism authorities. We are proud of our work and the countless positive feedback we receive from our customers and friends even if, in fact, there are no bidets in our bathrooms, something we claim. It is good to be aware of this.But we hear your comment and we are sincerely sorry that by choosing Riad Monceau you chose an establishment which clearly did not meet your expectations.Last point: yes, our breakfasts include a menu of options to allow everyone to create a tailor-made meal. But, contrary to what you say, dear Wajahat, these options do not cost money. Eggs, in all their forms, are therefore free because, as everyone knows, the best things in this world are those which, precisely, are free.

Nous sommes à Marrakech, dans le centre historique... notre établissement est le seul de la ville à être équipé de 2 fibres optiques et, pourtant, il arrive malgré tout que l'Internet, et donc le wifi, soit un peu instable, chose que nous regrettons tout autant que vous. Nous espérons, néanmoins, que vous aurez pu apprécier tout le reste, à savoir la beauté du cadre dans lequel nous vous accueillons, la qualité du service, la disponibilité et la gentillesse de l'équipe, le niveau des 2 tables disponibles sur place (Le Bistro Arabe et La Pergola) ainsi que des concerts de jazz offerts chaque soir... :)

Cette expérience combine : un cadre exceptionnel, une table exceptionnelle - enfin 2 pour être précis -, un rooftop parmi les plus courus de Marrakech et une scène jazz unique au Maroc. Séjourner au Riad Monceau est un privilège - nous n'avons que 9 chambres, complètes 12 mois sur 12 - mais cela suppose, clairement, d'être intéressé par l'atmosphère toute particulière d'un lieu à nul autre pareil. Le Riad Monceau est un hôtel, un restaurant, une salle de concert, un théâtre, une salle de spectacle.. un peu tout cela à la fois et donc, oui, le soir il y a de la musique, de l'ambiance,.. De quoi s'évader totalement et vivre une expérience comme il s'en rencontre peu. Cela fait notre réputation, mais cela ne peut convenir à tout le monde, nous en sommes bien conscients et c'est précisément pour ça que tout ceci est clairement indiqué et mis en avant sur notre site ainsi que les sites sur lesquels nous sommes distribués. Partant, il ne nous semble pas juste de nous reprocher ce qui est l'ADN même de notre établissement. Il nous semble plus honnête de dire que votre choix n'était pas adapté à votre attente et nous en sommes, bien entendu, sincèrement désolés. Il existe plusieurs centaines de riads à Marrakech et la plupart d'entre eux sont des hôtels classiques qui auraient probablement été davantage à même de répondre à vos attentes.

Thank you for the great feedback. Regarding the live music please keep in mind this is our signature, what makes Riad Monceau totally unique in Morocco and beyond! But, as you say, it stops around 11pm which means after that the premises belong to our guests and to the birds that nest in the numerous trees of our patio and terraces :)

Nous sommes heureux que vous ayez apprécié votre séjour.Concernant le bruit il convient de préciser que les quelques chambres donnant sur le patio bénéficient d'une isolation phonique complète (double vitrage, doubles portes avec capitonnage, etc). En outre, afin de respecter le confort et la tranquillité des résidents, l'animation stoppe chaque soir à 23 heures.Il faut toutefois rappeler, bien sûr, que le Riad Monceau est un hôtel hors du commun en ce sens que c'est un jazz hôtel où se tiennent chaque soir des concerts de très haute tenue. C'est donc un hôtel qui s'adresse, clairement, à des personnes susceptibles d'apprécier ce type d'expérience.Merci beaucoup.
