female traveling alone and they put me as far away from civilization as possible down three dark hallways and at the very end of the last one. Room was also dark and creepy. Did not feel safe. Got lost twice just trying to find the hallway that led to the elevators to rooms. Told desk clerk I wanted my money back and could not stay there. Though I might be murdered and no one would ever know. Literally. I was told I could not get a refund because I booked with Expedia.

The property is being renovated and under construction. Half the building is unavailable for use and I would not have planned a stay if I had prior notification to such issues. I ended up with a nonrefundable stay and ended up having to use the stay and am uncertain why the renovation is being run in such a way to upset staying guest with noise and the inconvenience of places to eat in house being closed.

Amazing stay
I absolutely love this hotel. As soon as we walked in, I saw the big Christmas Tree, beautiful. This hotel was very clean. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and helpful. The price was great, the rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. Overall a great place to stay.

Happy with room and stay! We’ve rebooked for Thanksgiving. Elevator was crazy on game day. Service elevator was in use for guests too. Staff is friendly and room was CLEAN and comfortable. The renovations are looking good. I travel with my job, so I’ve seen a lot!

Staff was not at all aware of what was happening around them. The room was very outdated and smelled like cat urine. The door to the ground floor balcony was unlocked so anyone could have entered room. Not a great stay and very expensive.

First I was giving a double instead of a king. Then I had a cabana room that was next to the pool, the music was in ALL NIGHT long. The sliding door to the pool was cracked and nearly impossible to straighten. I understand they are renovating but I will never go back.

Can’t afford parking lot lights??
If you’re going to increase normal rates due to a special event in town AND sellout the hotel I would think you could afford lightbulbs in the parking lot. Those lights that were working are covered by oak trees and not useful. Hotel is still undergoing renovation to put in fancy rooftop bar… maybe it’s intentional to not light the parking lot and spoil the view from the bar??

Do not go off the pictures of booking this hotel. I have four employees staying here in this place is completely falling apart old, dirty, and has bugs.

They are undergoing renovations so be prepared for paint smells and some hammering/sawing. One of the two elevators is out of order. Finally, the new rooftop bar is great ambience but the bar staff is not trained yet. Manager apologized and comped drinks. The waitress was perfect and made the drinks for us. Hire her as bartender! You can lose the DJ as he was just terrible. The renovations will be awesome. Just a work in progress now. I’ll go back once construction is done and the roof top bartenders are trained. I’ll bring ear plugs if the DJ is t replaced with somine who can play decent music. Or no music is better than what he played.
