Un lugar más pensado para locales que para turista
No muy buena experiencia con el servicio de recepción. No recomendaría si no vas en auto, queda muy lejos del centro de Salerno. Tienes buses que no van muy seguidos y se debe caminar más o menos 3km que es mucho cuando el hotel queda en medio de la montaña. Positivo: Las instalaciones son lindas y un lugar para relajarse o comer bien (cena) y el chico encargado del bar y cena que nos atendió. Muy amable. Negativo: Ningún servicio de comida entre las 15:30-19:00. Si es llamado resort en mi experiencia debería haber una cocina más flexible. Llegamos como a las 16:30 y preguntamos por si hay como pedir comida y nos dijeron que si, pero cuando vamos al bar nos informan que la cocina está cerrado solo hay chips. Atención del personal en el check-in mi recomendación ver más a los clientes y explicar cómo funcionan las instalaciones. Más atentos. Desayuno: te dan a elegir un solo plato entre tres alternativas. Un plato de fruta, un plato de omelett o un plato de panes dulces. Muy pobre las porciones y te quedas con hambre. Piscina: No obtuvimos información en la recepción que se debe ponerse gorro para poder nadar. Nadar con gorro en esa parte de Italia en verano? No recomendaría este lugar, mejores opciones si tu plan es viajar por varios lugares en Amalfi

Peaceful surrounding, nice pool but sadly open only from 10-18, closes too early:( Room was nice, a bit oldish style though. Mold on shower and on wooden floor outside shower. Glass door to toilet is nice idea but doesnt work in practice. Light from toilet is visible to bedroom. Sand road to hotel in bad condition. Hotel needs few improvements but ok value for money:)

Jede Nacht haben in der Umgebung und auch direkt auf der Anlage Hunde lange und laut gebellt. Auf der Anlage selbst laufen 3 Hunde herum, die jede Nacht sehr laut waren. Das Bett war außerdem sehr unbequem und daher war Schlafen überhaupt nicht schön. Warmes Wasser kam auch nicht immer. Zum Frühstück gab es kein Buffet, nur 3 Gerichte zur Auswahl und auf Nachfrage, ob man zu dem Rührei Frühstück etwas Obst haben könnte, wurde nur gesagt, dass man sich für eines der Frühstücke entscheiden muss und es pro Person auch nur ein Frühstück gäbe. Im Pool MUSS eine Badekappe getragen werden. Das scheint in Italien in einigen Regionen verpflichtend zu sein. Die Liegen am Pool haben keine Auflagen. Das Abendessen war aber sehr gut und preislich angemessen. Nach Salerno fährt man ca. 30 Minuten mit dem Auto.

An amazing venue - would have been helpful if it was a bit more obvious which services are available, and how I could access them (specifically the spa and pool). But once found, they were brilliant!

Gentili Signori Napolitano Vi sono state fornite tutte le informazioni di cui necessitavate compresi gli orari della piscina (da sottolineare che gli orari sono affissi in piscina e presenti nelle camere all’interno dei nostri concierge); Per quanto riguarda la camera è stata scelta personalmente da Voi, dopo esserci messi a disposizione e avergliene fatte visionare diverse. In nessuna delle nostre camere sono presenti oggetti danneggiati; Ci siamo messi a disposizione per tutta la durata del soggiorno. Più volte avete perso il suo portaocchiali, e durante l’ultimo giorno di pernottamento si è presentata in reception urlando e chiamandoci Ladri davanti agli altri clienti Questo particolare lo sottolineiamo per intendere che la parte lesa siamo noi, ma per il buon nome della Villa abbiamo deciso di non procedere nei vostri riguardi per diffamazione. Riteniamo assolutamente infondata la richiesta di rimborso che avete avanzato

From the outside, it looks a lovely place to stay (and from the description) But from the unsure ladies on reception to the un-smiling waiting staff - we were overall disappointed in the Hotel Villa Rizzo. The hotel guide that is in the rooms needs updating - As we arrived around 3, the information booklet told us sandwiches were available in the pool bar, as the restaurant closed at 3, but when we asked for some we were told that no sandwiches were available - only crisps and a few other snacks We had read that service was slow in the restaurant but when there is only one person serving 10-12 tables - then what more can you expect! Food was fine - but choice was limited. Hotel lacked atmosphere and friendliness but had the potential to be a really nice place to stay for R&R - maybe we visited on an 'off' day?!?!

Per quello che abbiamo speso speravo di piu'.
Hotel immerso a 360° nella natura, molto tranquillo e pulizia ok. Per il resto voglio lamentarmi: Camera: su Expedia ho prenotato una camera mi sono ritrovata in mansarda; (sicuramente risponderete che e' un' antichissima masseria...come descritto in foto...ve lo potevo chiedere di cambiarmi la camera...ecc ecc. ma come descrivero' in seguito le cose bisognava tirarvele fuori dalla bocca). Posto: siccome avevamo deciso di raggiungere l'hotel in treno/ autobus proprio per evitare lo stress da traffico su strada provenendo dal Nord, e' stato praticamente il contrario: purtroppo il luogo non e' raggiunto da nessun collegamento autobus e quello piu' vicino e' a 30 minuti a piedi. Ora..so che risponderete di nuovo che potevamo chiamarvi per organizzare il trasferimento...ok che vi avevamo chiesto il martedi se avevate auto a noleggio...ok che vi siete dati da fare e che poi l'avevate trovata per il mercoledi...ok che in seguito abbiamo rifiutato perche' per 1 giorno e mezzo avremmo dovuto spendere all'incirca 190 euro + 40 euro per portarla in hotel e ci pareva un po' eccessivo..vi posso anche dar ragione..ma elencare fin da subito al check-in le varie opzioni?E lo sapevate benissimo che eravamo senza macchina, con ritardo del treno di 2 ore e con una "passeggiata" dalla fermata dell' autobus all'hotel con borsoni al seguito.E non dite che non lo avete fatto subito per farci andare direttamente in camera a riposare, perche' potevate benissimo farlo dopo.Ascoltate di piu il client

Ad ogni richiesta siamo tempestivi nel supportarli a risolvere tutte le esigenze. Nel vostro caso, oltre ad essere stati freddi e scostanti senza aver MAI manifestato alcuna difficoltà, non aggiungo altro a chi al posto di manifestare un disappunto per "dispetto" allaga una camera con parquet e rifiniture di pregio. Le auguro di trovare altrove strutture adatte alle sue esigenze, a noi piace ascoltare e coccolare i nostri clienti e la prevalenza delle recensioni positive lo dimostra!

Great Getaway Resort
A great find out in the country. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you will need a car to stay at this hotel, but it is well worth the drive. Located in the middle of a hazelnut grove it is a very lovely and tranquil spot. Salerno and the Amalfi coast are just a short drive away. We had the breakfast package on our trip and ate breakfast at the restaurant every morning, a great way to start your day. We dined at the restaurant one evening and the food, wine and service were outstanding as was the spa that my wife had a massage at. Our only complaint is no wi-fi in the rooms, wi-fi is available but only in the common areas(pool, restaurant).

Overnight stay
The hotel has a large country area location and is pretty rural in outlook. We were travelling with our family dog. The room facilities are spacious and practical. The staff were helpful and the hotel was busy - it was a weekend. We were pleasantly surprised with the restaurant and dinner was good. Breakfast was also more than adequate. We enjoyed our stay and would return should we be in the area again.

un ponte de 2 giugno in "cerimonia"
Durante il nostro soggiorno con i bambini ci siamo beccati un compleanno durato fino alle 2 di notte, un matrimonio per l intera giornata che ci ha costretti ad andare altrove e una comunione il giorno dopo. Un ponte in tutto relax.!!!!!! Sicuramente non è un 4 stelle per quanto riguarda la cura degli ospiti. La location merita ma si nota chiaramente la gestione in economia della struttura. Personale volenteroso e disponibile ma non in numero sufficiente per garantire un servizio adeguato alla categoria.

Situé dans un environnement de cultures; très reposant. Ayant eu besoin de services médicaux, le propriétaire a mis tout en branle pour nous trouver un médecin. Le personnel est très agréable et très gentil. Le seul bémol:les chambres: mobilier limité. Nous pouvons prendre les 3 repas sur place; par beau temps, nous pouvons manger sur la terrasse, vue magnifique.

Abbiamo soggiornato per un viaggio familiare. Per la prima volta siamo partiti col nostro piccolino di 7 mesi. Ho effettuato la prenotazione della Junior Suite. Arrivati mezz'ora dopo l'orario di chiusura della reception, la receptionist ci ha comunque aspettato. Ci è stata assegnata la camera "Il Melograno", posta al di sopra della hall. La camera, molto caratteristica, presentava parecchia polvere sulle plafoniere ricavate con delle tegole. Polvere presente anche sul pavimento, raccolta in cosiddetti lanicci. Presente un divano letto. La culletta del piccolo era una Chicco da campeggio. Il giorno dopo, abbiamo ricevuto chiamata dalla reception nella quale ci proponevano la colazione in camera, non essendo scesi. Ho fatto presente lo stato di pulizia della camera e al rientro abbiamo trovato proprio un'altra aria. Il giorno successivo il piccoletto ha rigurgitato sul letto e sempre gentilmente hanno provveduto. La zona è molto tranquilla. IN SINTESI: leggermente vetusta la struttura, impianto di condizionamento gestibile, bagno con tendina non a dimensione della finestra, sanitari maltenuti, assente lo scopino del water; pulizia scarsa (forse la camera non veniva usata da tanto). Tutto è compensato dalla disponibilità e dalla gentilezza del personale. Ci ritornerei.

Way out in the middle of nowhere
If you want to be out in the country this is the place to be, we thought it would be nice and quiet but unfortunately there were a pack of dogs that barked ALL night long so we got no sleep. The restaurant was open and food was acceptable but the server seemed uninterested in us being there.

Total relaxation
A gem of a small hotel, hidden away in countryside but easy to find as well sign posted along the road. Comfortable bed and pillows and very clean. We did not try to use the TV so don't know about channels. There is no lounge to sit in if the weather is bad but next to the large and beautiful pool there is a covered open air area where food and drinks are served and there are some sofas there. This is where you will want to spend your time as it is picture perfect. You need a car as there are no facilities nearby but the food there was excellent and reasonably priced. They also have a spa which is well hidden away with special offers which you can request by e mail.

Nous avons été très déçus car l'accueil était horrible. Personne ne nous a présenté ce que nous pouvions faire dans la région. De plus les filles du Spa sont exécrables et expéditives. Le massage que nous avions pris n'a pas duré la moitié de ce qui était prévu!!!! De plus l'hôtel est tres bruyant le Week end. Le petit dej est très sommaire. On n'a pas aimé du tout.

Jos kaipaa rauhaa niin villa rizzo on oikea paikka. Auto on välttämätön syrjäisen sijainnin vuoksi. Hotellin ympäristö on kaunis ja henkilöstö palvelualtista. Menkää syömään Ivli nimiseen ravintolaan. Rizzon henkilökunnan suosittelema paikka! Ainoa huomautettava asia hotellihuoneissa oli nk "kellarimainen" haju huoneissa, mikä tod näk johtuu vanhoista kivirakennuksista.

Chaotische, süditalienische Verkehrsverhältnisse waren der erste Eindruck der naheliegenden Stadt Salerno. Gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber sehr interessant. Auf dem Weg zur Amalfiküste möglichst nicht durch die Stadt fahren, kostet sehr viel Zeit.

Depends on your expectations
Calling it a resort is a bit of a stretch. Not easy to get to. Stayed 2nights for exploring down to Agropoli which was very nice. I'd stay down that way next time. salerno is too busy. Grounds are nice surrounded by trees, good views. Staff was nice. Dinner is too expensive. Go to Giffoni Valle piana to eat and for store, ATM. Salerno is too far. Internet would not work in room or the cafe which was a previous write-up on another review. They said they would look into it but nothing changed. Had to hook up in the reception office which was a hassle. All in all worked out ok once we got the hang of things but I wouldn't return.

Struttura molto bella in una location da sogno
L'Hotel è molto bello, ricavato da un vecchio casale immerso nella natura. Il vialone d'accesso che attraversa un immenso noccioleto è meraviglioso. La posizione della piscina e dell'adiacente zona bar / ristorante all'aperto è fantastica. Molto disponibile e cortese il personale. Molto buona la cucina anche se il menu proposto è ripetitivo per chi decide di soggiornare più di un weekend. Da migliorare la colazione, per mettersi a pari con strutture di pari livello, in particolare l'angolino della colazione salata è talmente scarno che forse sarebbe meglio non offrirla affatto. Non abbiamo testato a fondo la parte SPA (solo un trattamento) ma anche questa ci è sembrata migliorabile. Qualche perplessità sulla camera che abbiamo occupato, anche qui si può migliorare. Nel complesso siamo soddisfatti del soggiorno, tutte le cose che abbiamo indicato come migliorabili possono essere migliorate con un piccolo sforzo per rendere la struttura perfetta.

Sono appena arrivata da Villa Rizzo dove sono stata con un'amica per 4 giorni e 3 notti.E ci manca Tantissimo!Ingresso da favola,un viale stretto in mezzo agli alberi,sembra una foresta incantata...Villa Rizzo e' un luogo di calma e pace assoluta,con viste meravigliose alle montagne e paesi vicini,dove l'odore di fiori,limoni,rosmarino e altre piante si mischiano per causare un 'relax' totale.La mia camera e quella della mia amica avevano viste bellissime,ambedue pulitissime,arredate con gran gusto.Il personale bravissimo ovunque (reception,spa,piccola colazione,pulizia).Abbiamo anche conosciuto Il Dottor Rizzo,titolare, gentilissimo.Da Villa Rizzo a San Cipriano Picentino in auto ci vogliono una ventina di minuti.Si possono anche fare viaggi in giornata,ad esempio noi siamo andate a Napoli un giorno,e un'altro abbiamo fatto tutta la Costiera Amalfitana.Dopo il caos della citta' e la stanchezza della guida,tornare a "casa' era una vera meraviglia.La notte e' anche magica a Villa Rizzo,col rumore dell'acqua e gli animali che si sentono da lontano.Per non parlarne del paesaggio.Insomma,che lasciare la villa non e' stato facile.Ringraziamo tutti e ...alla prossima!

Ottimo hotel, pessimo ristorante
Incantevole complesso e personale molto gentile e disponibile. Del tutto inadeguato il ristorante rispetto l'albergo, prezzi elevati qualità molto scadente

Fantastisk beliggenhed, men ringe køkken
Vi havde et par dejlige dage på hotellet, der ligger og er meget idyllisk. Alt var næsten perfekt, men restauranten var ubeskriveligt ringe og dyr og kan på ingen måde anbefales. Desværre er der umiddelbart ingen alternativer

Wonderful wonderful wonderful!!!!
I can't say enough good things about Hotel Rizzo. The rooms were beautiful. The grounds were exceptional... complete with two geese and a peacock. The staff went out of their way to provide outstanding service. The outdoor bar, by the pool, staffed by Sergio and his son, was beyond great. If I had to say one negative thing it would be that the services at the spa were below par. All in all I would give this a 5 star rating. We are looking forward to staying there on our next trip.

Idyllisch hotel met rust en service
Zeer moo gelegen hotel, prachtige omgevingm kamers ruim en stijlvol ingericht, personeel heel vriendelijk en servicegericht. Ideale uitvalsbasis voor trips rond napels en salerno.

very nice hotel to relax!!
we spent a week here with your two kids, staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very nice and clean, swimming pool and bar are great. the restaurant doesn't have a very big choice of meals but the ones on the menu are very nice :-). the location of the hotel was very nice, great driveway up to the hotel and lots of space around the hotel buildings for the kids to run. I think the location of the hotel is good for day trips to the Amalfi coast, Vesuvius, Naples etc., definitely lots to do in the bigger area and very nice. we would definitely recommend this to anyone and will most definitely go back one day!

Top Hotel
Super Hotel in Villenlage im Hinterland von Salerno. Ruhe und Erholung ist hier garantiert. Super gemütliche Zimmer und eine schöne Poolanlage. Ich würde jeder Zeit wieder dort wohnen. Ausflüge: die Amalfiküste und Cilento sind super zu erreichen.
