It was good, but I think it needs more options for food, specially lunch and dinner. It is a quiet hotel , very family friendly. Overall, it was good .

The flowing river is beautiful. The resort is in renovation mode which is good because it is starting to need repairs.

We were punished because we booked on Expedia!! Upon arrival, we were separated from our group while a manager of some sort told us that we did not have the same privileges that the others had. She offered us the opportunity to attend a 90 minute sales pitch to learn how we could buy into better access, which we declined. The entire place feels salesy and slimy from this point forward. The entire property is under construction so every time you turn down a hallway, there might be a fresh piece of drywall or construction dust in your way. The property is hardly relaxing because there’s giant bulldozers and pile drivers slamming into the rocks at every turn - right outside the bedroom windows, next to the pools. We walked out to one of the viewing points on the beach and we were chased back by a bulldozer dumping rocks just feet from where we were trying to take photos. Don’t even bother with a massage! All I heard was banging! All the restaurants are closed or in flux so you end up eating almost every meal in one bland, cavernous room. They claimed one of the perks of membership was lobster, but every time I saw someone try to order one, they said they were out. On top of this, the mosquitoes and coatis are rampant throughout the property making it hard to enjoy. Most of the staff outside the sales team was great - Kika always had a smile on her face! Juan helped us paint our own souvenirs and always brought them back better! Would not go back!

Lovely hotel with wonderful facilities.
I had low expectations because of the low reviews but it was actually one of the best resorts I've stayed at! The grounds are incredible, they have multiple cenotes and a gorgeous river that is amazing to snorkel and kayak through. It's the kind of thing people would pay $70+ to do a snorkel tour through, but here it's free! The food was good, the drinks were yummy, and the property was clean and comfortable. There were a ton of activities at the pool and some entertainment at night. We were never bored.

all pools closed up early, all service at pool areas closed up at 6pm. food was terrible. front desk did not follow through on reservation. booked king bed got 2 queens. was told it would get fixed & move to king next day but never did happen. very poor communication. all inclusive does not include everything listed on menu & the upcharge you for certain items. Room service food was by far the worst. Cound not eat it as it looked to be several days old & probably left over from buffet or mex rest. rooms were clean & staff encountered there were friendly.

Can't get out of their own way
Unlike other resorts this one has beautiful Cnotes! Its beautiful, nature, animal life.....one of the best I've visited and sells its self. But.....leadership ruins all of it. Read other reviews about beach! I thought it was just unlucky timing that seaweed was in...I was wrong! This resort has an enormous issue with the amount of seaweed!!! Read the review dates about the beach seaweed. Years of issues! Oh and its an overwhelmingly nauseating sewage stench all the way to your rooms! OWNERSHIP.....your #1 Priority should be your beach not selling your Fing timeshares! Idiots! How are you rich? Return business, positive word of mouth is business 101! If people returned maybe they'd see the plus of membership? But they don't. All resources should be on seaweed mitigation n beach improvement! Not 5 poor Mexicans with pitch forks n wheel barrels. (emoji face palm) I almost bought your time share... it fit me, my age, and retirement but...your hard sale and elitism soured me! and Roy Munson came inches from getting knocked the F out. EVERY human who walks through your doors should be a black wrist band! Treat every one with the same respect and you'll reach the level of exclusivity you desire Doing the right things for the right reasons would make this resort maybe one of the greatest in the world. I'd return. Only if they hired me as a consultant to change the way they do business....why not they obviously through away money. Read reviews...I don't recommend HTR.

There was poor communication. They made any request difficult. Gave us different prices for transportation. Or wouldn’t provide us transportation. The resort closed down at 11pm, if you wanted to hang out later then that was not feasible. Pool services were only from 11am-6pm. They wouldn’t let us use the resort amenities until after 11am. The fresh juices were powder base. The main beach was dirty, if you wanted to get to the nicer side of their beach property you have to be exclusive members. And you have to arrange your own transportation.

There is one thing you really need to know before booking at this resort. Yes its an all inclusive but its not your typical all inclusive. It is also a time share and there is a hierarchy. Pros. - Decent resort, main beach is rough but if you cross the bridge to the other side (not members only but its roped off and gives the assumption that it is) its very nice. -Food at hacienda grill is great. -Food at Porta Bella is good but if you have kids you have to be there at 6pm or you will be denied. -Nice gym, in good working shape. Cons - Buffet sucks, breakfast is hit and miss. Sometimes there's bacon usually not. Sometimes there's scrambled eggs, usually scrambled eggs that look like a dog throw up. If you want butter, ketchup etc. Good luck its not at the table, or buffet and by time you get it you're done breaky. -Buffet is even worse for lunch. -Buffet was closed 5 out of 7 days for dinner? -My 5yr old loves baseball and we saw this place had a batting cage. Batting cage not open. -On a rainy day i asked the front desk if they had umbrellas so that i can go with my son to the hacienda grill. Guess what...members only lol I had to stop myself from jumping over the desk that day. - I wanted to break some money as i only had 20s and wanted to leave some tips. The front desk said they couldn' but could convert it at some outrageous exchange rate. I told them i don't need this for myself its so i can tip the staff. Help me help you. He didn’t grasp the point.

Beto the tour guide for jungle karts was amazing! We loved the food at Hacienda grill and Alebrije but were not huge fans of the buffet. The bartenders were very friendly and the room was beautiful with a great view. Our favourite part of the experience was all the wildlife!

We had a great time at Hacienda Tres Rios. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing at every restaurant, but we especially loved Alebrije. The activities that you can do are all fun and you are able to see the beautiful property. We loved seeing the adorable monkey and other wildlife. We would definitely visit again!

Food was terrible, staff was unfriendly, we were talked into getting a “timeshare” with them very persistent, but it’s all lies do not, and I repeat do not get their so called time share it’s a bunch of lies and they’ll end up blocking you and taking your money.
