We had an issue with a valve on our shower not working. Waiting over an hour at bedtime to get someone to look at it and then another hour to fix it.

It was a wonderful place to stay at! The hotel was very clean and neat. The one think was the construction going on was an inconvenience but it wasn't bad! The staff was amazing! I definitely will be staying there again the next time we go to Kansas City!

Check in was a bit awkward with staff member having to step away from check in desk to deal with other issues multiple times. However, another staff member later offered complimentary bottles of water which was very nice.

They experienced some plumbing issues on a couple of floors that caused some not so pleasant odors. But they did Everyrhing to make it right. Breakfast was awesome. I'd stay there again.

Will Never Stay Again
The room that I booked 2 weeks ago was magically not available due to a flood of some kind. I get it that those things happen but the problem was the recovery of the issue. We went from booking a Concierge Room with a king size bed and a sofa to a single queen size room (the smallest they have). After some negotiations we were able to step up to a double queen, given free breakfast, a couple drinks, and a slight discount but the damage was done. This was our five year anniversary and I wanted to do something nice and splurge a little but this all completely ruined everything. The staff was nice and the room we were in was clean. But, if something happenes to the room that was booked you should be upgraded automatically not downgraded to a crap ass small room. Zero stars, will never stay here again.

We loved having the option to shuttle to the plaza for dinner! Check in was great and the service couldn’t have been better. There was standing water in our tub upon arrival (minimal but there nonetheless) and our tv remote didn’t work. And my family and I noted the smell of sewage in the halls for the entire duration of our stay. Other than that the room seemed clean and we would stay again.

Nice hotel. We have stayed here before in the past and enjoyed it. Just a few blocks from the plaza. Only “bad” thing-which really isn’t bad thought-by our air unit in our room-you can tell there was some water damage due to the fact that the wallpaper was peeling around the unit-but it was up on the wall pretty high, so unless if you were staring up at it, you didn’t notice it. But great hotel! Will be back!

NEVER AGAIN.
This was one of the worst hotel stays I've had in a long while. The bathroom was not cleaned well at all...hair everywhere. The bed was uncomfortably hard (I usually prefer a firm mattress, pillows were flat. The room was very damp/humid and the air system worked poorly. Only one elevator was working on a Friday night when it was quite busy. In a hotel with 19(ish) floors, that's crazy! It took us over 20 minutes to get to our room. We took the steps down 8 flights of stairs when we went to dinner (which were also a mess because we had to take two separate flights from our floor to get to the main lobby). The fire alarms went off for several minutes (for no reason) around 1am, with not explanation or cancelation announcement.....they just left everyone wondering what was going on. The front desk staff was less than friendly, although I'm sure they had a lot of complaints to deal with from irritated guests. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this stay was just AWFUL. It should have been a relaxing night out of town at a nice hotel, but instead I left the next morning feeling tired and frustrated.
