The Grandover has always been a favorite for me and my wife. The front desk customer service person was wonderful. However, the room we were given had a musty/mildew odor. At first I assumed it was from the heat unit we had to turn on to knock chill off. Upon further investigation, it appears it was coming from bathroom shower. Not sure why, but smell was certainly related to this area. I am sure The Grandover would have fixed or moved to another room, but it was late and not in the mood to deal with possible move. Otherwise, they would have gotten 5 stars as usual when we stay. I trust upon this feedback, they will take the necessary steps to correct. Enjoy your stay!

The hotel was beautiful. We had an issue getting our dinner and had to wait 2 hours for our food which was tough with kids but the server who delivered it was very nice and helpful. We figured the hotel was busy with the dinner crowd so we didn’t push it too much. Overall our stay was great. We especially loved the cafe with games and a lounge area which was great for breakfast with the family.

I was very dissatisfied with check in. Check in was supposed to be at 4:00. I had 2 rooms and 1 was for my 87 year old father and 78 year old mother. 1 room was ready at 7:30pm and second room was ready at 9:00pm. This is unacceptable. My 87 year old father was exhausted just waiting for his room. You are charged extra for checking out late but not even an apology for 9pm check in. We are supposed to go back May 17-19 and I'm seriously debating whether to stay there or somewhere else because I cant risk another 9pm check in. Ive stayed at Grandover before and never had a terrible check in before. Is it a 1 time terrible experience or is this the new norm?? Very dissatisfied!!!!

Spent our Valentine’s weekend there, the staff was absolutely incredible. The comfort of the room and all the amenities made it a worthwhile experience. Will be returning very soon, much more to experience at this wonderful resort.

Not enough staff for dining service. Waited over an hour for breakfast service which is crazy especially if you on a time schedule. Cold shower water both mornings.

Amazing quality and stay. Golf course is definitely the highlight, although there are quite a few family friendly activities nearby. Gorgeous property with decent dim8ng selections.

This is an exquisite property that I will more than likely give another chance. However, taking a shower for the water to cut off mid stream rinsing my hair and then it would only come back on ice cold was not acceptable. The explanation of everyone is using it at the same time is not acceptable either! This is a resort that should be prepared for people to shower! Regardless of how many guests are there or showering at the same time. There’s a remedy for this problem!

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. It was all decorated for the holidays too! Restaurant was good and they even had live music in the bar area on a Wednesday. My only complaint was the AC didn’t get very cold at night and the room was a little warm and stuffy.

Amazing stay
Our stay was amazing! The room and common areas were very nice. It was clean and quiet. The staff was polite and helpful. The holiday decor was beautiful. I have no complaints whatsoever. I will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend it.

Room was nice and clean. Elevators going up to room were filthy. Didn't look like doors or ceilings had been washed in months. They need to be cleaned and polished.

Nice Hotel but WAY overpriced
Stay here several times per year and have for the past 20 yrs. It’s a top notch Hotel however it’s become overpriced in recent years. Even the Golf Rates now are totally ridiculous ($90). Unless some Conference is booked the Hotel is generally a ghost town during the week. Weekends are generally more busy primarily with local Couples looking for a get-a-way. The facilities & hotel were built with Conferences being the primary draw… however since Covid this Hotel is a dinosaur… with a Ton (and I mean a ton) of wasted conference space. Zoom Meetings and Technology have bypassed Grandovers original plan and now Traveling Guests have to pay extravagant room prices to cover the cost of maintaining all this wasted conference space!

We appreciate your comments but find them totally off base. Although Covid did have a profound affect on the entire hotel industry, we actually are experiencing meeting and conference business at levels that exceed pre Covid numbers. For any guests who may have read your review, we continually shop our competitors as we set our rates and find that we are very competitive within our market. As you implied, our Transient business and leisure travelers are not expected to offset any conference space costs.
