오래된것들의 장단점..
호텔은 세월의 흔적이 느껴지는 곳이더군요.(로비에 83년준공된 사진이..) 왠지 어딘지 모르게 (한국분들은 아실듯한 )그 옛날 잘나가던 시절의 한화콘도나 대명콘도같은 느낌적인 느낌ㅋㅋ 처음 체크인하고 방을 둘러봤을땐90년대를 연상시키는 올드한 인테리어 분위기에 좀 심란했는데 하루하루 지날수록 이상~하게 편안하게 느껴지더군요. 매일아침 창밖으로 보이는 강가의 평화로운 풍경(방에 따라서 강쪽이 아닌 도롯가 빌딩쪽이 될수도 있음) 작지만 잘 구비되어진 주방시설. 무엇보다도 엄청 커다란 원형 월풀욕조가 실내에 있어서 깜짝 놀랐어요.(세명은 들어갈 사이즈) 룸설명란에 자동분사식 욕실이라 되어있어서 무슨 소리인가했거든요. 저희 어머니는 욕조가 제일 맘에 드신다고 매일 저녁 탕에 들어가 반신욕을 즐기셨어요ㅋ 뭔가 왕년에 잘 나갔어~느낌의 인테리어..근데 좀 낡았지만 룸도 크고 있을건 다 있는.. 다만 너무 오래 사용되어 꼬질해진 소파는 좀 교체하는게 좋겠구요.침대 메트리스도 많~이 꿀렁합니다. 호텔위치는 정말 나이스~ 서로 경쟁하듯이 높이 솟아있는 빌딩들 사이에 아담하게 들어서 있지만 바로 강가의 공원(유람선 선착장가기 좋음) 길건너서 5~10분 산책삼아 걷다보면 바로 서퍼스파라다이스거리와 바닷가. 암튼 장단점이 있지만 가격대비 나쁘지않았어요.

정말 별로..
2박을 했는데 수건 바꿔 달라고 말하니 돈을 내라고 하라더군요.. 미리 공지가 되어 있었던 것도 아니고 좀 황당하고 수영장에 bar도 다 닫혀있고.. 운영을 하고 있는지 의문이 들더군요.. 수영장에 타월도 없고.. 왜 저렴한지 좀 알 것 같더군요.. 쇼파베드는 직접 펴야하고.. 야간엔 직원도 없어서 너무 불편해서 다시는 이용하고 싶지 않고 추천도 하고 싶지 않네요..

Just stayed 3 nights with my wife and 2 girls, for the price we paid it was really good. Our view from the room (704) over the river was amazing, we had glimpsed over some negative reviews prior to getting here but they can only be from people who are expecting 5 star for 3 star prices. Some aspects of the apartments are a little outdated, would have been the bees knees back in the 80s but the bedrooms and the kitchen are clean and newer. The pool is great for the kids, they loved the slide, it does need updating a bit, there is a row of tiles about a foot into the pool and some tiles are broken or missing, the broken ones could be sharp, get that sorted and the pool is fine. The location is brilliant, we walked straight up the main strip and to Surfers beach in 10 mins. We would definitely stay again when we head back to Surfers if the prices were around the same again.

The hotel is in a great location ...in the middle of Surfers Paradise and an easy walk to lots of attractions, dining, night markets and of course the beach! The only down side was that the apartment was in need of an update, the kitchen smelt damp. I was really looking forward to a glass of wine while relaxing in the spa bath .... unfortunately no hot water! It was late so we reported it in the morning and they got it seen to straight away.

It seems that you didn't report the smell in the kitchen to our staff during your stay. Great room, some maintenance needed: no plug for spa; spa pump way to noisy to be useable (like having a bath with a lawnmower in the bathroom; guard rail on pool slide not attached at top of slide. Otherwise awesome room and view.

My room was crawling with cockroaches. I have about 14 on video in the one evening. Found them in the bed sheets, dropping from the ceiling to the pillow. Never felt more disgusted in my Life and I’ve travelled the world, I got zero sleep. It’s a clear issue and many reviews of it. Was offered to stay in another room but I had no interest in staying at this hotel. Friends also found roaches in their rooms. I was given a refund. Bed only has a sheet and the blankets were dirty and had old food smooshed in it. Bath/shower would not recommend for oldies. Hotel smells stale. Needs a serious update and shut down to deal with the infestation, fly spray will not cut it!

Hi Brooke, we're sorry to hear that you encountered issues during your stay. We have since changed both our pest control company and the frequency of treatments, after the two extreme weather events this summer saw a couple of pest invasions occur.

The building is showing it’s age and hasn’t been renovated for a long time, but for the price we found it clean, and in a great location and generally really good for what you pay in the Gold Coast cbd

Only giving it 1 star because 0 stars isn't an option. If you're into being exposed to public health hazards from black mould; horrendous, rude customer service (including being many hundreds of dollars out of pocket having to leave and find alternative accommodation due to mould); being promised a bed (and washing machine) in the photos at the time of booking and then discovering there's not actually a bed (or washing machine) in the room; broken, dirty, used crockery and cutlery, bad smells and broken fixtures, this place is for you

Hi Rose, as previously discussed with you, there were no issues noticed by our cleaners or yourself at the time of check-in. Due to the high humidity following the two extreme weather events on 25/12 and 1/1, this particular apartment did develop an issue which was professionally treated on the same day you raised the issue with us, after your early departure. We are confused by your comment about there not being a bed in the apartment, as the Queen bedroom is difficult to miss. Washing machines and Dryers are available in the two x 24-hour shared laundry rooms, as advertised.

Although it is an older building, it is in great condition and the location is fantastic. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The pool area could do with a bit of a spruce up but is still good. I think that 8pm would be a better closing time for the pool, especially in the summer months. Will definitly stay here again.

If you are after a good nights sleep don’t bother. The traffic noise is understandable and bearable but the yelling and screaming of young patrons in the early hours of the morning is ridiculous. Blankets were musty and upon remaking a bed, there was dried blood on the mattress protector. When attempting to arrange for return of room bond we were accused of not being who we stated after providing proof, and staff were abrupt and accusing us of calling them liars. I will not be staying here again, maybe you will have better luck.

We we weren't provided enough kitchen cleaning stuff, bathroom ceilings are marked with old stains. The staffs are very helpful. Needs some renovation I guess

Staff where amazing accidently locked myself put of room and they organized someone to come up and let me back in aswell kids enjoyed it as it had a pool and was walking distance to everything we had planned
