we are very sorry here at the Lynbar hotel and unfortunately some how the site let you book a blocked room and due to being fully booked all we could do was try and help you find another hotel

Thank you for your review on your stay, we are sorry the heating was an issue with your stay, the heating is working in the room its set to go on at different intervals and we offered an extra heater as it was a cold evening in Blackpool. I will get the taps sorted as we had the plummer in last week and he must have put the wrong caps on the sink taps We are glad you enjoyed your breakfast .and your overall stay at the Lynbar Hotel.

As you have stated its not the Hotels fault that you have been given the false information and you should be reviewing Hotels.com on this score not our Hotel as you can can see from previous scores we have alawys been helpful to our guests, We also have to follow covid guidelines in entering a guests bedroom etc, all you have to do is ask for fresh towels and bins to be removed by our staff at the hotel who were there during the day while you stayed , Steve spoke to you a few times during your stay and no concerns were raises, when you checked in we moved you staright away to a double room , Hotels.com gave you the false information as we are a room ONLY HOTEL and breakfast is paid directly to the Restaurant when needed and reserved to the Social Distancing with COVID. We feel this review is not a reflection on our Hotel and your main grievance is with HOTELS.COM not with the LYNBAR HOTEL

My respond to this message as follows * Our hotel is a Room only Hotel, Breakfast is served at a surcharge to guests as explained, you were given the incorrect details by your reservation company as you booked directly with the Hotel reservations team. We do not advertise a Bar at the Hotel so looking for a night cap or a drink was nothing to do with the Hotel management. The showers are working perfectly in all rooms in our hotel and are checked when room cleaning is been done, how many people staying is no business of any other guests as when you book you book a room for your stay not the entire building. As you may know we have a COVID in our country and we are not allowed to handle the keys so that is WHY all keys are left in the hotel, when guests leave the lease the key back in the doors and they are also cleaned by our housekeeping team. We have 2 hotels and as explained when you called our Manager was over checking in other guests at our sister hotel and would be there for you asap, he was not 20 minutes away as the hotel is on the next street and if he was more than 5 minutes away I would be very shocked. Check in is after 2 pm you were informed if we could let you check in earlier we would but this was at the discretion of the team at the Hotel and this occasion your room was not ready. As for you not returning to Blackpool that is your decision as we at the Lynbar did everything in our power to make your stay comfortable, I recommend that you take the issue up with Expedia or Hotels.com to discuss the false information given to you at the time of your booking Regards John - Management Lynbar House Hotel
