All we required was a bed for the night. Room 19 at the front. We were very happy with the room and bathroom was spacious and clean. Saturday nights will be noisy as you are in the town centre and young people will enjoy themselves and shout ln the way home. It is disconcerting that there is no staff and all locks are digital. Dont delete the text! I did try the contact numbers in the days before my visit a never received an answer. Overall happy to return as close to the railway station and main shopping area. It would be nkce to be able to leave the luggage somewhere safe for a few hours.

Blagrave rooms
The hotel was easy to find and a stones throw from public transport. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room had an electronic code pad, with a long number, and auto locking mechanism.

Cheap option in town center
Nice convenient place in town centre. Condition is OK and toilette is quite small. There is a common kitchen that gives an unpleasant smell to the common areas. It doesn't give a sense of security given the way keys are delivered that for sure could be improved

This is what it says it is; a room. There was an en-suite shower & toilet and a tea/coffee maker. The space was very small (the bedding had to be tucked out of the way to completely close the door) and the available floor space not occupied by the bed was not much more than 15 square feet. It was fairly hard to find. The entrance is squeezed in next to a coffee shop, but extremely convenient for the station and basically all of central Reading. It was spotlessly clean

Terrible stay - from the start to finish! SHOULD NEVER BE ON HOTELS.COM!! - difficult to find. - needed to wait for one of 'flat mates' to bring card - nasty smell of curry. - room extremely small. - loud noises through the night. Wish I read more reviews or looked at photos. Carpark £25 for night. No parking to drop the bag off.

Best value for money hotel in central Reading. Essential, but newly renovated, clean and practical. Very close to station and all destinations in central Reading. there is no reception: the process to get the keys is well managed, but just be aware there is no reception. Breakfast is served at the cafe below and is fresh and good quality.

The location is superb. It is self checkin through a pin unlocked box so no fuss around that. It's tidy and clean. The rooms are very small and I could hear the TV from the room next to mine. It wasn't anything special for the money.

Thankfully my partner was unable to come. On arriving front door had wet paint. Due renovations full English breakfast, that had been prepaid was unavailable and a poor continental breakfast substituted I had been notified a week before but felt some extra effort should have been made. It was worse as most of substitute breakfast I was allergic too

Great location but too many flaws to recommend
The cafe that used to front the hotel has closed, with no staff on site to administer keys. I was supposed to receive a text to give me the key code for the safe with my key which is on the wall outside the front door, but did not so had no idea how to get in. By chance one of the residents was passing and did it for me. There is no breakfast such such, rather the room is provided with a packed croissant, a banana and an apple, a fruit juice drink and a cereal bar, with the usual range of tea and coffee. The room itself and the bathroom were clean but the pillows so hard a good sleep was impossible. The wi-fi connection is the worst I have encountered in the UK and so weak as to render a notebook or tablet useless, whereas a smart phone at least has a better and faster connection. There is a tv but most of the channels either could not receive a signal or kept blanking out. Although in a great location in the centre of town round the corner from the railway station, this was a disappointing experience.

Because the reception area was being renovated was no excuse for no member of staff to appear at all. I was paid for English breakfast and instead received a pathetic croissa nt in my room. The room was hot, not very clean and I would definetely not go again.

Our stopover
Everything was completely in order. It was explained that refurbishment was taking place. We were leaving at 4.30 in the morning and the owner was very concerned that we were not getting a breakfast and would supply a packed meal, which we were very grateful for but declined. I would visit again.

The entrance smells like public toilet. Room condition is lower than average. Noisy. No aircondition. Wifi doesn't work and they expect you leave the room by 09:30 ( which is maybe the best part LoL )

The room was very small (maybe 10 m2), the tabs of cold water didn't work, shower was working but not in good conditions. Curtains on the windows not sufficient to darken the room, so I was awake at 6:00. Not very recommendable.

Comfortable, surprisingly large room (booked a single, got a double and single bed!). Good breakfast selection included. Would use again.

You get what you paid for, it is not noisy at all, just that when others close the door, you hear the sound of that. Rooms are basic, old furnitures which is still okay for me as I stayed there for office reasons. Shower and the toilet is also good including the heating. The main thing which really put me off was the room carpet which is very old and looks dirty, they should really change it. Will I stay there again? May be if I get a good deal as it is very close to the station and shops.

Stopping in Reading
The proprietor was very helpful with parking, and offered an NCP voucher to park in a near-by car park. However we decided, after hearing that parking was free outside la baguette between 20:00 and 08:00 hrs, that it was better to get away early (before 8), and therefore had to miss breakfast, which I was looking forward to after specifying vegetarianism. Next time.... As we had to wait till 8pm we decided to eat in Morrison's for the excellent long stay free parking, otherwise we would have preferred a nice restaurant, but with soaring parking prices, this was not an option. This turned into a late night shopping spree in Laura Ashley's where we grabbed some fabulous bargains. So proper chuffed all round.

Simple, comfortable, odd arrival but turned out ok
This simple place was a very good value. Really close to the train station (and all the buses), a relatively quiet room, and a comfortable bed. And breakfast was really good (the coffee was excellent). Be advised that, if you arrive after the adjoining cafe is closed, you will need to phone the number posted on the door, and they will give you the code to the lockbox that contains your key, the WiFi password, etc. It felt quite odd to have no one to ask for whatever might have been needed, but it was "OK." The service and welcome at the cafe in the morning were great, so I imagine if I had arrived earlier, it might have been a different story. Very simple accommodations, but I would consider staying there again.

Very basic but perfectly acceptable except for the noise. Room backed on to rear of a pub which had loud pulsating music till the early hours, followed by the staff emptying bottles into bit at 0247. Not the hotels fault but be aware.

Ideal well priced centrally locate BnB
A lovely little B&B on top of a sandwich shop in the centre of Reading a couple of minutes away from the station. If there was one thing that worried me, it was getting the key card. Had the sandwhich shop being shut, I imagine I'd have had to ring one of the three numbers on the door to get my key card. I didn't though, just a concern had I turned up out of hours. They used key cards, which shows the place is modern. A nice modern television inside too. Breakfast was served in the cafe area of the sandwich shop downstairs. Very nice, full English breakfast.

due to me not reading the fine print I did not book in before 3pm in fact I only arrived in Reading at 8pm.This left me wandering around looking for someone to let me in cold and tired I eventually gave up and found alternate accommodation, Even though I was my fault I still think that to keep all the money I paid is not reasonable,

I liked the way it was lightly staffed and I was left to my own devices (privacy appreciated), My room was next to a pub which was very loud until the early hours plus a generator was situated directly underneath my window, None of which posed much of a problem once the window was shut, I imagine this would be a problem in the summer though. My room was clean and comfortable with a fully functioning TV (again, appreciated) The staff I spoke to on phone to locate my door key and the lady in the morning who served my breakfast were pleasant and helpful.

Super Lage 2 min vom Bahnhof entfernt!
Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen direkt beim Bahnhof. Ich war erst nach 15:00 Uhr in Reading aber der Schlüssel wurde hinterlegt, was alles perfekt klappte. Ich werde dieses Hotel nächste Saison, falls Aston Villa nicht aufsteigt!:-) wieder buchen.

Don't believe the webpage
Backs onto nightclub. No sleep. Loud music. Smashing bottles in garbage containers. Drunks shouting. No breakfast on Sunday. No discount for no breakfast. Smallest room ever. You can actually touch both walls easily. Toilet was broken. Water ran all night. No staff to help. Nice name. Good location for train station. Spend your money elsewhere.

Best possible location in Reading town centre
The room was very hot, although my stay coincided with the hottest day in 40 years. No air-con in the room, just a table fan that tried its best. The carpet was very dated. The room and en-suite bathroom were tiny but clean. I had no issue checking in, even though it was unmanned at the time of the day. The full english breakfast was nice. The location was very central in Reading town and the station is just round the corner. I would visit again if travelling alone, but never ever with family.

Options limited in the area because of Royal Ascot so decided to try this BnB in Reading. Parking in the area is limited and traffic wardens ARE quick off the mark as I had only parked in the next street to offload my luggage. Room was functional, with ensuite and a good shower. First issue was no wi-fi. Card left in the room saying "Cloud" available but neither phone or laptop gave this option (rectified next day, alternative given by management). No desk, chair or even bedside table in the room so can be a bit cramped and all had a look like it hasn't been updated for a very long time. This week has been the hottest so far this year, my first thoughts on entering the room was, a fan - yes! But it was still so hot in the room I opened the window (big mistake). Disturbed on each of my four night stays from 9pm, midnight, and after 1am. O'Neills pub courtyard directly below emptied crate after crate of bottles in to wheelie bins, the noise was crazy. This was on top of the noise from the big A/C units all humming away cutting in and out through the night on the walls outside the window - yet my room didn't have any aircon, it if did maybe I could close the window and get a decent night's sleep.

Disappointing hotel
The confirmation stated check in reception open till 9pm. Arrived 8 pm no reception no instructions luckily found an envelope with my name on it in an unlocked post box by hotel. The room was very small and not the cleanest (no duvet cover on duvet and some unpleasant looking hairs and stains on the duvet. (No one to complain to). The room was extremely hot but there was a choice hot and sweaty with window closed or cooler but deafening loud thump of music from night club that must be very close. Unrefreshed and keen to leave in the morning we decided to live with the change in check out time from the confirmation stated 10am to the note in the room that stated 9.30. We left and went for the confirmation stated breakfast included only to find cafe where breakfast was supposed to be shut with no sign of life. Again no sigh of anyone for check out so left room key in same unlocked post box and left never to return.
