The Fox is a comfortable, friendly pub hotel, with great staff, particularly Olivia and Sue, who made us so welcome and looked after us so well! The bedroom was spacious, but with a cosy feel and the meals were all excellent and plentiful - great chips! A great atmosphere in the pub, yet peaceful and relaxing. We would recommend it to others, and hope to rturn at some point.

Had a lovely stay at the Fox Inn, the staff were lovely and so welcoming. Our room was spacious clean and bright. Bathroom was clean but needed a little tlc to the bath seal. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked. Would definitely stay here again, very quiet location too

the staff were friendly, helpfull, nothing was to much trouble, the place was warm and inviting, the food was to die for !, loved the qurky room we stayed in. perfewct stay, we will be back !

Olivia was an absolute gem! She checked us in Quran’s helped to find a parking spot. Also helped us in the pub and served our breakfast!

Good old pub experience
Lovely place to stay. It's a nice pub, the food was good, the staff lovely, breakfast good too. Car park is not the biggest but there is a car park just along the street and some on street parking as well.

Excellent value for money, lovely staff. The room was nicely decorated and spacious and the food was very good. Would definitely go back. Parked easily in the small car park.

read the small print
we booked after seeing Restaurant listed as one of its features. At the hotel we discovered that the restaurant is only open certain days, not our day, which really didn't help our opinion of the place. Later after studying the small print it does confirm this. So lesson learnt read the small print. Breakfast was very nice everything else average for the price.

A B&B with character
We had a fantastic few days away at The Fox Inn. The room was comfortable and the staff were lovely. The food was fantastic. No shortage of choice at breakfast and cooked to order. We exclusively took our evening meals here too and were served beautifully tasty food. Would happily stay here again.

Warm and welcoming hosts who were very forthcoming with helpful tips and information about the area. Excellent food and service in the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. We mentioned a leaky tap and problems opening the bedroom window and both issues were resolved within half an hour. We had a lovely time and have every intention of returning to the Fox before too long. Highly recommended!

Staff were fantastic
The staff were fantastic. A very comfortable impromptu stay when the snow made it impossible to go any further. Thank you for all your help including digging the car out!

Long night at the Fox
Expedia listed the club-in time as 3 pm, bit when I arrived at 4:30, the door was locked with a note to call 1 of 2 people. Neither answered the phone. At 5:30, when the note said they would open, it was still locked but someone answered the bell. I booked late so I know beggars can’t be choosers, but if you want to call it an early night, make sure your room isn’t above the pub. The bathroom had some kind of flashing light in it all night, and there were noises all night. Food in the restaurant, however, was very good. Pleasant atmosphere.

1 night stay
1 night stay while visiting Shropshire. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Nice characterful room tastefully furnished. Very nice breakfast cooked to order with excellent selection. Only downside was that our room was at the front of the hotel on the High Street and there was quite a bit of noise both at night and with early morning traffic.

Had a lovely stay at the Fox Hotel lovely clean room ,and really comfy bed and bed linen .fridge and ironing facilities. And breakfast was amazing,e never had dinner there but it looked fabulous .The staff where extremely friendly and helpfull . Will definitely stay again.

Lovely place
I hadn't expected too much as it was not an expensive room but was really plesantly surprised by a clean modern place albeit in a really old building. great bar, nice food, friendly staff.

Welcoming hotel with fabulous breakfast
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Fox Inn! All staff were friendly and welcoming. The family room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely fabulous!

Great location
Arrived around 6pm nice warm welcome, personally shown to room, very nice and spacious. Had a drink in the bar, friendly locals, went into town only short walk, had a lovely evening. Breakfast was amazing and staff lovely.

Christmas Market Visit
This is a very friendly family run pub, the owners and staff can't do enough for you. The food is excellent and very reasonable priced, with new dishes appearing on the menu each day. The regulars in the bar were also warm and friendly. We were in room number 5 which is at the back of the pub and it could probably could do with some updating, but it was very comfortable. The pub is ideally situated in the town with all the amenities close at hand. We would definitely return.
