We spent one night at the Hotel Saptagiri on our last night in India, after traveling for two weeks around the country. We weren't expecting it to be a fantastic stay based on reviews, but our main priority was easy access to the airport, since we flew into Delhi one afternoon and flew out early the next morning. I had booked round-trip transportation to and from the hotel when I booked on hotels.com, but when I contacted the hotel via email, I got no response. When I was in India, I called them on a weekend to confirm they would pick us up and was told I would have to call back during the work week. I called back the morning we flew into Delhi and was told they would pick us up and I gave them our flight number. No one was there at the airport to pick us up and I had to borrow a stranger's cell phone to call the hotel. Someone showed up a bit later with another person's name on the sign for pick-up. When I checked out of the hotel, the person at the desk claimed hotels.com only "holds" my credit card number and does not charge it and that I had to pay the hotel directly when I checked out. The person stated that was standard procedure. I had to dig out email confirmation I had already paid and prove I did not have to pay them a second time. Overall, the room was clean, although the hotel seems to be highly disorganized. If we needed another hotel near the Delhi airport in the future, we would find somewhere else to stay.
