This hotel was so nice! Beautiful building and wonderful rooms for our stay. Free parking was also a great perk. It is a ways from the city center if you plan on walking but with the cars was no problem at all!

Nice comfy hotel. Fantastic old world charm as you enter. Shops right in the same precinct. Room was on the smaller side for 4 people but we managed and beds were comfy. Outside of main center so you will need a car to get in and out bit that was great for ua.

Overnight Stay at Castleroy
Just a quick overnight stay at Castleroy. It was very reasonably priced for one night which was the draw as we were passing through Limerick. The rooms were average; clean & decently comfy . For a quick stay it was all we needed.

The rooms have been clean and provided lots of space. Bathroom could have been a bit more clean. Breakfast was good and provided several options also for vegans & vegetarians. Hotel bar was ok, we had to wait some time for a waitress after we have been seated. My friends also used the spa area which they reported to be very good. You do not have much around the hotel but there is a small shop next to it if you need anything.

Dining options were good and the staff friendly. Nice "leisure" facilities. There were some missed opportunities and signs of age on and around the property.

Super piscine - chambre confortable
Une nuitée en petite famille de trois. Hôtel confortable avec une vraie piscine pour nager. La brasserie sur place est appréciable mais nous avons craint de ne pas avoir de table alors que l’hôtel est loin à pied des restaurants

The folks at Castletroy were fantastic. All our interactions with the staff were top notch. Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

Noisy but otherwise very nice
I gave a low rating because I slept so badly. I arrived after midnight and didn't realise my allocated room was next to a set of fire doors. They started banging back and forth just after 6am and sleep was effectively impossible after that. Worse still, when the cleaners started working, the doors were blocked open, so they clearly weren't required to be closed for safety reasons. Otherwise, this is an old-fashioned hotel in lots of good ways. The staff are grown ups who seem to really want to work in hospitality. Breakfast was carefully prepared (poached eggs instead of the disgusting congealed scrambled eggs offered in so many places) albeit with few vegan or healthy options and watery coffee. The rooms are big and well maintained

Very disappointed with staff. Upon arrival we were told to park in back as they had a wedding arriving soon. Checking in after 4 pm, we were told they needed to move us to accommodate a wedding they had. If you were not part of this wedding the staff was unhelpful & rude.

Property was nice, but don't expect food after around 7 or 8pm in this area. Beds weren't super comfortable, but got the job done. Staff was friendly, checking in was very easy and the rooms were quiet. I would absolutely come back.

The customer service was excellent upon checkin I received an upgrade room from standard double to superior room 202 which was a nice touch. Free water provided and Elemis products. Room was clean and updated in decor however some improvements needed. Tv is tiny and is not a smart tv which I think they could consider updating and some of the grouting in the bathroom is messy but these are only minor issues. Over excellent location as I was visiting UL

Uncomfortable stay
Stayed overnight in this nice hotel. Service at the concierge and staff are friendly with pleasing personalities, clean environment. I booked for a double bedroom and was provided with same that’s wheelchair/ disabled people-friendly though myself and my husband does not need those service. A downside to my stay was the noise and sounds from people talking passing by the hallway- I can distinctly hear their topic of conversationas! Also, the music from the restaurant is filtering through the closed windows. I did not sleep well during my overnight stay! The walls need soundproofing if it wants to provide comfort to its guests.

I was worried that it would be noisy as there was a wedding— thankfully it was quiet!!! Hurrah! I didn’t realize the hotel was so far away from the city centre. But that was fine.

Ayant expressément demandé une chambre calme lors du booking, je réitère ma demande lors du check in et me voilà devant une chambre en face l'ascenseur! Bref, changement de chambre, certainement la plus vieille de l'hôtel... Je n'ai pas testé le restaurant ni le spa, le petit déjeuner est moyen. Wifi et parking OK.
