Lovely hotel, avoid the restaurant
We had a lovely time in this hotel, the location is wonderful and the room had a beautiful view over the lake. Whilst the hotel itself is rather old we weren't troubled too much by noise, from other guests or the road below. The spa is great; lovely swimming pool, jacuzzi and a sauna outside which looks over the lake! We also had a massage which was superb. Only thing which really lets this hotel down is its restaurant. Breakfast is fine but dinner was really quite bad, especially considering the price! Even though we loved the hotel itself I'm not sure we'd go back because of the food. It's such a shame because the terrace and the lake view makes it the perfect place to have dinner and watch the sunset.

An amazing view
Great location and view on the lake. Surrounded by a large garden. Excellent service. Great food. Only minus point: We got a rather dark room next to the elevator although the hotel was half empty.

Magnifique endroit!
Deuxième séjour dans cet établissement et toujours un ravissement face à ce cadre idyllique. On peut passer des heures sur la terrasse du restaurant à contempler le vue, mais passer du temps dans la piscine est aussi très agréable! Personnel très gentil, nous avons juste dû demander une chambre plus grande tant celle avec vue sur le lac est étroite.

Le service de la réception était moyen et les chambres étaient propres, mais très anciennes. Une rénovation de fond serait probablement la bienvenue. Le service et la qualité du restaurant sont irréprochables.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang und ein Upgrade in ein Seeblickzimmer erhalten, wunderschöner Garten mit super Pool und Whirlpool mit angenehmen Temperaturen. Frühstück war sehr grosszügig. Preise fürs Abendessen sind etwas hoch, vor allem für die eher bescheidenen Portionen. Alles in allem ein gelohnter Ausflug !

Highly recommended
Absolutely fantastic hotel! Beautiful big rooms we had an amazing balcony with table chairs and sunbeds which ment we could sit out and picnic in the sun 🌞. Lovely staff at both reception and in the dining room. Beautiful breakfast nothing too much trouble.

Hervorragender Service, Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Servicepersonal. Da wir mit Hund angereist sind hat uns die Tierliebe besonders gefreut. Auch durften wir uns verschiedene Bettkissenarten auswählen Die Essenspreise sind eben landestypisch erhöht. Das Schwimmbad und der hauseigene Strand am See waren perfekt. Das Bilderbuch-Hotel an der Traumkulisse des Vierwaldstätter Sees ist ein geschichtsträchtiges Gebäude jedoch sehr gut in Schuss.

Confort et cocooning dans un très beau site
Situation privilégiée au bord du lac des Quatre Cantons. Avions demandé une chambre avec vue sur le lac. Un peu chère peut-être mais c’était vraiment top ! La vue est magnifique. Chambre un peu petite mais petite terrasse extérieure très agréable Accueil très très sympathique avec personnel faisant l´effort de parler français. Extérieur très bien aménagé avec piscine moderne et chauffée, sauna, transats, serviettes de bain et toujours une belle vue sur le lac Restaurant un peu cher mais raffiné. Petit déjeuner copieux avec beaucoup de choix Possibilité moyennant un supplément de retarder l’heure de départ

Nice area poor hotel
The view is spectacular but the hotel is dated and run down, curtains did not fit windows, door stops did not stop door from hitting mirror, no privacy as people in close proximity can see in your room, noise in corridor preventing sleep, the price of dinner is extortionate, no coffee or tea making facilities, one bottle of water between 2, staff at breakfast ignorant to me, did not explain what we had to do as it was alien to anything English, had to make your own omelette etc, not happy booked there on way home but little choice.

10 - 15 min walk from town.
Room very small would have difficulty in swing a cat. Bathroom / shower room very small, no facility to hang wet towels made even more difficult when towels no changed. Overhaul very disappointed. On the other hand a good continental breakfast.

Quirky hotel
Quirky hotel in an amazing location. The views are spectacular from the terrace where you can enjoy breakfast and dinner. Breakfast choices are good and dinner excellent although expensive. The rooms are spacious however the bathrooms are tiny with the washbasin in the bedroom. I would recommend a trip on the lake and a ride on the train up the Rigi mountain.
