I particularly enjoyed the staff at the Hyatt Hotel. Dalton was extremely professional with outstanding business communication. He was personable and kind along with the kitchen manager and cook she had the breakfast food seasoned with love. We could tell she like her job as she did it well (I think her name was Mindy). Mike and the other Maintenace staff were all working hard going above and beyond to ensure the premises were well maintained. They were even able to assist me with an issue where I needed crazy glue. Thanks a million for all the hard and diligent work. To Mike the GM we thank you kindly for having such a dynamic crew in Richmond and we will come back to visit as this was a very wonderful stay for us!!! Thanks a million!

My reservations was for 2 queen beds but ended up a king and a sofa bed. The breakfast was trash. One of the elevators wasn't working. There was a long wait for the elevator. The hotel looks outdated. I did not like anything about this hotel.

We stayed a few days earlier and it went very well. The location is 1/2 way between our destinations. This time not so well. This time we were charged a $10 parking fee which was not in listing, last time they gave us waters for all guests in our party but this time only 2, then our TV was not working and had to switch rooms in which I had to go to the desk to get the keys rather then them bringing it to us and nobody was there despite me saying I was coming down. Then I went and got snacks and it was $15 for cookies and a brownie in which I could have gotten at the gas station for $7. I asked them to charge it to the room and when I got up to the room they called and said they don’t have a credit card on file but I had given my card for the parking.The topper was the air wasn’t working in the room and by time I figured it out the kids were all asleep and I was not switching rooms again. Oh and listing says there are in room microwave and there are not.

We stayed for the long President's Day Weekend and were impressed with this property. Our room was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast each morning was excellent. We were comfortable from when we checked in to when we checked out. The only complaint would be one of the two elevators being broken down for the weekend made for a long wait at times to ride. I am sure that issue is being fixed. Also - be aware that there is a $10 charge each day for parking. Although I see hotels doing this more often, when your hotel is connected to the same parking lot as a restaurant and a Target - is it really fair to charge for parking? But, even with this, we would stay at this hotel again as we were close enough to the airport and downtown and far enough away at the same time!

Stay was great, until the hot water went out two minutes into my shower. Not “warm” I mean zero hot water.

Perfect location. Nice size rooms. Tv did not work. Kept freezing and rebooting. Employees were all outside smoking together and lacked professionalism. Hard to identify who employees were because there were no uniforms or noticeable name badges. For what was being charged per night, had higher expectations.

The alarm clock in my room was set to 6am by the previous guest I'm assuming. I have difficulty getting to sleep and I was hoping to sleep in to at least 7:00-8:00. Waking up to an alarm clock at 6am ruined my morning!

I loved the location of the hotel. Plenty of restruants and shopping. The hotel was nice and clean. They had great breakfast options. Free bottled water every day. The only thing that I can say that I didn't like was that the pool was not heated. I really wanted to get into the pool to relax. I will stay there again.

We have been staying at Hyatt Place for about 5 years and find this property seemed to be a second class establishment. We had to complain about Styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery for breakfast and ask for normal plates and cutlery. The first morning, there were no bagels and neither morning was there decaf coffee. We had to call for towels as our room was not on the list for housecleaning. The manager gave us a nice discount for this, but that is not the point. We mentioned the toilet was running too long after flushing and needed maintenance to look at it. It was not fixed while we were there - 2 days! Bottom line, next time we are in Richmond, we will find another hotel!!

Nice place but HVAC needs servicing in some rooms
This is our third time staying here and we really like it. I do want to mention however, that this is the second time we've had an issue with the air-conditioning that will not stay on and actually cool the room. We had to move all our things last night to a different room which was a pain. I think they need to service all of the HVAC systems and make sure each room is working properly. Otherwise this is a clean, convenient and nice stay, especially with your pet.

We booked this hotel in advance. Upon our arrival, which was late in the evening, we were informed that they had given our room away. There was no communication and my 13 year old daughter and I were forced to go find another place to stay at midnight. The policies of both Hyatt and Expedia should not allow this to happen.

I was surprised to find the rooms were attended only every other day. This was not explained at checkin, so on Day 1 I thought they just missed my room. Then when they did clean on Day 2, by then I had used up all my in room coffee and tea and cups over 2 days and they didn’t replenish any of that.

Look the toilet didn’t work the sheets were dirty . I don’t need no one trying tell me what I did and didn’t do at this hotel during my stay . When room was dirty the toilet didn’t work no tools at pool pillows smell like ass . I will never in life come to this hotel again . Tbh I deserve a refund but I just know to never come back .

Nice second stay at this Hyatt place. Glad we found it as we always struggled to find something in Richmond at a decent price and still comfortable and clean. We also like the fact there is a longhorn and red lobster as well as Starbucks not to mention a target and Publix right next to you. Staff is really nice too.

It’s hard to recall anything I did not like in this location, everybody was nice, it seem to be responsible guests. The variety of breakfast was though narrow but not really something to lose sleep over especially with so many eateries around the hotel

There was a cockroach under the blankets. The sheets were stained as if they were not washed. We were offered a different room and a credit but the manager never approved it.
