As for breakfast, it is included with stays in our B&B inn but is optional for cabin guests based on availability. The dining room only seats 10 so when the Inn's 5 rooms are fully booked, we just don't have the capacity. I'm so sorry! BUT, with advance notice we are happy to offer an alternative to cabin guests...a continental breakfast. Details can be found on our website. We keep an inventory of basic supplies on hand just in case a guest has a specific need or in case things get broken or disappear, which does happen from time to time. We were sorry to hear that noise from Smoky Park Highway was disturbing. Upon reviewing your reservation, I see that you were booked into our Howell Room. While it is the least expensive option, it is also on the front of the Inn facing the road. Had we known, we could have offered a room on the back of the Inn away from the road and where better views are also available. Or, better yet, we might have been able to move you into one of our cabins at the back of our 12-acre property where things are definitely more quiet and more private. As for the road, we acknowledge its presence on our website. It is both a blessing and a curse. The fact that it is so close is also what makes us so convenient to Asheville and are amenities. But with that convenience, comes the noise, especially during peak travel times. If you visit with us again, please contact us first so we can work to mitigate the nose by booking another room or cabin! Rick.

As for amenities, I wish you had visited our website before your stay (or asked us at check-in)! While we always offer suggestions to cabin guests for provisioning their cabins, we also offer several such amenities for sale here at Engadine...the choice of coffee service alone, a continental breakfast that includes coffee and also a full breakfast in the Inn (based on availability). We also sell 1 lb. bags of the coffee we serve. All of these options are described on our website, though many times guests who use online travel sites to make reservations, neglect to check it out. Hopefully you'll choose to visit again when we hope you'll consider the many amenities, room/cabin deliveries, promotions and packages we can offer to enhance your stay! Folks love our cabins and we're so glad you agree! We are so sorry to see that this guest was disappointed with their stay at Engadine. But considering that they chose not to tell us in their review what the problem was, I'm not certain how to reply! However, I can say this to anyone who travels and encounters lodging problems along the way. Take the time to TELL your host about your problem while you are on property. In most instances, your host will do his/her best to correct the problem. And if a problem can't be resolved, most hosts will gladly offer a refund. We're not in the business of disappointing guests...our other reviews tell that story. We're just sorry that this guest chose not to give us the opportunity while they were here to make right whatever it was we did wrong or to offer a refund.
