The Grand Sahid is well located city hotel. It is an older property that is well maintained although the rooms could be stand to be updated. Staff is helpful, breakfast is good.

The little shop next to the lift, good friendly staff and helpful and the lounge staff good. My room was always cleaned each day and he did a good job. The only downside was the beds, mine was uncomfortable and hard.

Busted lamps and broken toilet chair cover welcomed me. The cleaning was below par. I stayed 3 nights and the long hair which belongs to the previous occupier was seen behind the toilet every day.... Good staff.

When check in, staff is very friendly, but check out waiting much time and no smile. Sunday in early morning, the street in front of the hotel is so noisy. (Walking festival) The small pool at 3rd floor is nice and refreshing.

No gym inside the hotel you need to walk to another building (the apartment) and the staffs there is not kind to hotel's guest. This is a big but old hotel.

Nice Hotel
we stayed there for 11 days, it was nice, but the only thing was disappointed us when we asked late checkout from 12 noon to 5pm, because our flight was at the night time. They only gave us until 3 pm. Maybe for the future they should adjust their policy to the guest who has late flight, especially when they stay there more than 1 week.

Hotel is at business area, but while check in, less manpower and many guests waiting. The worst problem was internet connection. Neither the mobile phone, Nor the computer working on the wifi. Poor connection and poor internet connectivity since I was working and I was kinda angry with that.

I was getting a very special rates from Hotels.com, so I will not complaining about stuffs. But there were actually no big things to be complained. The location is amazing, the space was great, the bed was comfy, the staffs were wonderfull. It was just an unfortunate thing that the shower was a bit old to be operated.

Needs serious 'overhaul' for the rooms.
This property is almost ancient. A complete overhaul / renovation is seriously needed especially the toilets. It looks terribly aged and many fittings in the room are so worn if not fully functioning to say the least. Breakfast was so so despite given a rating of 5 star. Location is great though otherwise everything else is mediocre.

Totally rate of the hotel is more than average. Speaking flame, internet access should be improved (frequently intermittent). Also a taxi, waiting in front of the hotel, is a severe problem, maybe general problem in Jakarta. Some taxi drivers are not reliable. So it is better to call blue bird taxi even if a taxi of another company is waiting.

Not impressed!
I was there for an event along with 3 friends who also rented rooms. None of us were impressed. This hotel is a 3* at best. It is clean (except my room smelt very strongly of smoke and someone elses drain smelt awful) and in a good area. It is quite worn out, there is only wifi in some rooms, the quality of the tv was terrible and with limited channels. The towels were really old, cheap and worn, the carpets throughout were stained and needed cleaning. I had gone planning to spend the following day by the pool but there were no recliners at all and only a small number of very old worn white plastic chairs, at inviting at all. We were woken at 8am on a Sunday morning by someone asking if we had laundry, as we were checking out that day after a 1 night stay, I thought this was very strange and extremely annoying. When I mentioned it to reception, they said that it was the policy to knock on every door and perhpas I should have put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door - I was NOT impressed. The rooms are very dated despite having been told that I had been upgraded to a newly renovated room. Breakfast was fine.

The very good enough
I usually stay at this hotel since it is very convenient in the business central of Jakarta. Some facilities are renewed but spacious enough and reasonable. Internal restaurants are also good enough.
