Very clean and nice property. Not as nice as it was made out to be on forums and advertising. Common areas left a lot to be desired. Rooms were clean and nice but nothing spectacular

At approx 11pm at night I was laying in bed watching television enjoying privacy as anyone should when staying at your hotel. My door was opened by a strange man who had a key to my room. I screamed in fear and he then shut the door. I called the front desk and was told they would review the camera. Nobody called back with any sort of explanation. I was scared, nervous and feeling very stressed through the entire night. Could not sleep and was up at 6 am. I stayed to get away from life stresses and enjoy a night of calm. I very politely went to the front desk on Saturday am and asked if something could be done some sort or reimbursement or even a gift card for another stay. I live in the area and have suggested the hotel to many family and friends when visiting. I also asked for an explanation and was told it was the engineer. a male engineer should not be entering g any rooms at 11 pm at night on a Friday night. The sorry that I was given was insignificant and unacceptable. Mistake or not it was inappropriate and terrifying. My night was completely ruined and I remained uncomfortable throughout the remainder of my stay. Please reconsider how This was handled. I would like to be compensated in some way. Please allow me to get the bad taste out of my mouth and allow for another chance to support your business and continue to speak highly of your quality. We absolutely loved the view and the location right near the boardwalk but were disappointed that we had paid for an oceanfront room, only to discover upon arriving that the view was significantly blocked by the scaffolding in front of the building. It would have been helpful to know about that. But everything else was fantastic. We especially appreciated the voucher for the restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service everywhere was excellent.

Pathetic: frauding people by selling blocked view oceanfront rooms, which are blocked by scaffolding’s and wooden blocks. AVOID at all cost!

I stayed at The Allegria for one night in February and will definitely be back. The property is beautiful and clean and the staff was more than accommodating - even finding me a quiet place in the back of their restaurant to work when a last minute work meeting came up. There was a light that would not turn off and I couldn’t sleep. The air was so loud. The guy at the front desk was really friendly. Besides that, definitely not a 4 star hotel

I booked this hotel after my flight was delayed. I arrived at the hotel to complete chaos in the lobby. After waiting 2 hrs for my room the hotel canceled my reservation along with 6 other people. By this time it was around midnight and all hotels were sold out which meant me and the others stayed the night at JFK. The hotel not only canceled my room but charged me $250. I have tried to contact the hotel multiple times and so has Travelocity to get my money back and the manager does not care or return calls. Do not stay here.

The hotel itself is very loud. The walls are super thin so you bear everything.

Allegria is lovely for a local hotel. Restaurant was great, rooms are clean & it’s convenient. My only wish is that they had a rewards program or better rates for locals (I live nearby but stayed at the hotel with an out-of-town guest who’s allergic to my cat at home.)

There were repairs that needed to be done. And there was no way to get a cup of coffee early in the morning. We needed to be out before 7:00. There was no coffee maker in the room, the coffee maker next to the front desk was broken and he said the coffee on the second floor didn't open till 7:00!

The hotel is in a convenient location near Family. However, it leaves a lot to be desired. I have been coming and staying at this hotel for sometime due to a grave illness in my family in the area. The staff is not very friendly except for a couple of guys in the evening. They were several times on this most recent trip and past trips where I stand for 10 or 15 minutes and the agents in the back office are sitting there talking about personal stuff, ignoring me, when I asked for housekeeping service after three days, I was treated as if I was asking for the impossible. Their rooms are getting a bit dated with mold in the showers and behind the sink in the bathroom. There’s no desk to work at which is important as my most recent trips are combined with family and I need to be able to work while I’m there. I can’t do conference calls while I’m sitting on the bed. The rates combined with the resort fee are a joke, especially in the winter time. Granted, there are not a lot of hotels in immediate area that are convenient and I get that. But is a Hilton Diamond member I am used to quality service and loyalty and do not receive that staying at this property. I am a road warrior who is on the road almost every week for business, and rarely feel acknowledged when I am staying at this hotel. I couldn’t get a consistent answer about the breakfast vouchers on this most recent trip. I did not use them on this most recent trip and lost out on $80 in credit.
