오래된 호텔 나름의 정취와 고즈넉함이 있어서 머무는 동안 매우 좋았다. 세면대 높이가 높아서 키가 작은 나로서는 조금 불편했지만 그 정도는 아무것도 아니었을만큼, 머무르는 내내 기분 좋았다. 창문 밖으로 보이는 뷰도 너무 예뻤고 수건이나 시트도 깨끗하게 관리해준다.

여러가지 불편한 점이 있었습니다
위치는 좋았습니다. 오래된 건물이어 걸으면 삐그덕거리는 소리가 들렸습니다. 2박이었는데 엘리베이터의 잦은고장으로 3층까지 걸어다녔으며 체크아웃시엔 캐리어를 들고 계단을 내려가야 했습니다. 세면대가 너무높아 불편할 정도입니다. 욕조는 크고 편안했습니다. 조식은 맛이 없었으며 무엇보다 정성이 없어 보였습니다.

It's easy to travel cause the hotel is at the centre of the city. The room of the hotel is comfortable and clean.

The hotel was within easy walking distance to old town as well as transport to and from the airport. The alley behind the hotel was noisy, beginning at 5am. The staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable but with only 2 small windows the room was dark. We would stay at the Waverly again but would request a front facing room.

Carpeted floors were kinda gross, there was no phone in the room to contact reception or order room service, they gave me the wrong luggage when I went to pick it up from storage (they didn't check the tag number). Aside from that, it was a reasonably priced and reasonably comfortable stay. It is exactly worth its 3-star-rating.

We understand that the stairs leading to the reception are not ideal - especially for elderly guests and those with mobility issues or heavy luggage. As is stated on our website and all of our booking partners’, the Old Waverley Hotel is a listed building, meaning it is of 'special' architectural or historic interest, which enriches Scotland's landscape. Sadly, this means we cannot have a lift from the ground floor, due to the age and characteristics of the building, but we do offer a concierge service. We are glad to hear that you had such a pleasant time with us, despite this issue, and we can’t wait to welcome you back soon.

This was an absolutely fabulous period hotel, well updated, phenomenal staff, adequate dinner options at the in house restaurant/bar. The elevator is small, but efficient. The staff was gracious about helping carrying baggage up stairs to the check in. The location can NOT be beat for access to the city and all of its views, train and bus transit etc.

The Old Waverley is very conveniently located on Princes Street. Although slightly outdated on the inside, the hotel is extremely clean, with spacious rooms for the price. The staff were courteous and provided the necessary support.

Close to the station, reception was fine but asked for a £25 deposit, not sure why. Room as expected for a 3* was generally good but noisy with traffic and street noise at times. The hotel is perfectly located for a first time visitor to the city. Many attractions are within a short walk as well as a massive selection of restaurants. The staff were very helpful and we were able to check in early as our rooms were ready. Breakfast was great with a fantastic view from the room. We had a great time in Edinburgh and the hotel was a big part of the fantastic experience.

It’s a bit old and tired but the room was clean and comfy. Floors are creaky and stairs unavoidable. Great big bed, so-so wifi. Very handy to trains, trams and buses, and an easy walk to Royal Mile and the Castle.

Nos encantó la ubicación para pasear y estar cerca de la estación de tren xq de ahi partiriamos, también fue muy fácil llegar desde el aeropuerto con el tranvia a una cuadra. Escogimos la habitación más barata y estuvo perfecta, cama grande y comoda, calefacción excelente, todos los días nos limpiaban la habitación y nos dejaban galletas y cafe o te. La mejor elección en todo el viaje, me gustó mucho.

Hotel was central for what we wanted, staff was friendly and helpful, room was large and comfortable, only problem we had was wi fi connection was not up standard.

This property is located incredibly close to both the train and bus station. The staff are helpful and friendly. Great value for the money.

Not good. The hotel management are grumpy and not very pleasant. They rarely smile. The breakfast is terrible. Way overcooked dry bacon, watery scrambled eggs. 2 waiters were great, but the rest if the staff bad. This used to be a very welcome, comfortable hotel. Get new managers and intelligent reception samtaff.

Maybe a bit too expensive
The hotel was historically old but was in good condition. Very close to the railway station and many restaurants around. The staffs were trained but not helpful when we had trouble using wifi.
