I suppose your experience and the level of satisfaction will very much depend on the room you get. Let me explain what I mean. When we checked in, we were given a room that faced a street that’s pretty busy with traffic. We really did like the look and the size of this room. However, I think the hotel windows are not made from sound-proof glass, so it was very noisy. I do not sleep well in noisy surroundings and we asked the receptionist to give us a different room that faces the courtyard area.
We were given a new room and it looked dramatically different from the first one. It was much, much smaller and much less attractive as well. But I thought that a good night’s sleep is more important than the look of the room and we decided to stay in the second room.
Next thing we had to deal with was a large radiator that was turned on full blast [in this tiny room]… And it was, like, plus 7 degrees C outside, so there really was no need for the radiator to be turned up full blast). We closed the valves on the radiator and opened the window. It took about 2 hours to cool the room off to a comfortable temperature, and by then we were really tired and very ready to fall asleep.
Another thing that we did not like was the shower in our room, as it was very tiny. My husband and I are not big/tall people and even for us the shower was very small (I was almost touching the walls of the shower stall when I was taking a shower).
