Lite skumt faktiskt!
Otrevligt vid betalning, tydligen hade innehavaren bestämt sig för att vi skulle betala kontant. Påstod att det var fel på alla mina kreditkort (3st). Jag kontaktade min bank, inga fel fanns. Men ägaren menade ändå att mina mastercard inte gick att använda i hans terminal och att det var fel på korten. Tvingades uppsöka ATM, och kom ifrån hotellet ngn timme senare än tänkt och på dåligt humör. Fick till slut ett sk kvitto på kontantbetalningen som inte påminner om de jag tidigare fått, inga löpnummer bara en papperslapp med ägarens namn. Ett fall för skattemyndigheterna?

Best view on the river.
We were a group of 6 traveling to celebrate my wife's and my 35th wedding anniversary. We booked three rooms, one with a balcony, and we couldn't have been happier with our location. When you first walk into the room you get a full view of the river. With the balcony, we found our selves watching the on goings of the city, including the many boats going up and down, and across the river. Our host the manager (owner ?) was extremely helpful from the time we arrived to the day we departed, even saving us time by finding a faster. more convenient train schedule to get us to Frankfurt. A very nice breakfast, spacious rooms and clean throughout, my only wish was for an elevator...which I am told they are getting next year. Next time I'm on the Rhein, I will stay at the Rheinfels Hotel.

Great location, reasonable price.
Hotel was very enjoyable, for a very reasonable rate. Could not beat the location. Right across the street from the K-D river cruise dock, and very close to the train station. Just know that the hotel has no elevator, so if you have problems with stairs or moving luggage up/down multiple flights of stairs, you had better request at lower floor. We were also able to add a nice breakfast for a reasonable amount. Take advantage of that if you can! It's a great breakfast!

Beautiful location.
We stayed one night only at the Rheinfels Hotel but wish we had a second night. We had a balcony room and waking up to go out in the morning to overlook the lovely Rhein is priceless. The hotel itself is slightly dated but bed was comfy and room clean. Great power in the shower! Breakfast was fine. The owner, Alexander from India is very nice and friendly. It has an atmosphere of a bed and breakfast.

Very convenient and close to the ship
We stayed only one night but we were very pleased with our room. It had a wonderful view over the river landscape. Staff was friendly and breakfast good. Wifi worked. Maybe the bathroom design was a bit out of date but overall it is a nice, friendly and very cosy hotel.

Wonderful hotel in a wonderful town
The room was large and faced the river with two balconies. it was as nice as it gets. the Rhine river view entertained me all day.

夜中、1時半くらいに、天井から水がもれて、目が覚めた。すぐに、フロントに、いくが、だれもいない。結局、それから、ねむれず、朝まで、我慢した。へやには、電話などもなかった。 予約した部屋は、ライン川側のトリプルだったのに、行ってみると、ライン川側のツインと、山側のシングルになっていた。水漏れがあったのは、シングルの部屋で、最悪。

There is no lift in the hotel and our room was on the third floor. When asked if we could get a room on lower floor was told that would cost additional. Not sure how anyone with a problem climbing stairs would have been able to stay at this hotel. Nothing was mentioned about this when we booked the room. The manager was nice enough to help carry our luggage to the third floor but we had to carry them down. Clean hotel but not worth the cost.

Great stay in a charming German village.
The owner personally greeted us and went way out of his way to make us feel welcome, answer any of our questions and provide suggestions to enhance our stay in this charming little village. The building is older - as is all of this village in Germany (350+ yrs old), but was well maintained and updated. The room was large and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very good, much more than a "basics motel" breakfast.

Hotel matched website and Travelocity descriptions. River view from window worth the little extra. Room very spacious and clean. Location is quiet and convenient. Breakfast on par with all others we had for 21 days in Germany. Staff was cordial. Would recommend.

Good location Great place to stay the night.
The spacious room was pleasantly unexpected and the staff was very nice. The property is old so you'll see uneven floors and dated fixtures. The location is conveniently near the KP boat dock and a short (but steep) walk from Rheinfels Castle. Free street parking until 9am.

Great way to visit the Rhein
The hotel itself was very comfortable, and easy access to the whole area for day trips. The hotel was very quiet and external noise was non-existant. However, fine as the hotel was, it was the personalized service above and beyond any possible call of duty that really made our stay one of the best of our trip. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to all travelers.

Bodenständiges Hotel für gelungenen Wochenendtrip
Inhaber ist ein Inder, sehr nett und hilfsbereit, was insgesamt für das Personal gilt. Gutes Frühstück, Zimmer etwas old-school aber im Winter soll weiter renoviert werden. Tolle Lage direkt am Rhein und nahe an Gastro + Fähre nach St. Goarshausen.

Rhein River Vacation
We had a great stay the Hotel. The owner was very accommodating and very friendly. The Hotel is downtown Sankt Goar and close to all attractions. We did love it there. Great place to stay in Sankt Goar. We did some nice sight seeings using the boat which is leaving right from across the Hotel. Very convenient. Overall we had a great time. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone traveling on the Rhine River.

A suprisingly good, comfortably renovated old hotel
In St Goar overlooking the Rhine. This large old hotel has been recently renovated to a high standard by its new owners. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast excellent. We were surprised by how good it was.

Lodging across from the Rhine
Centrally located,across from the Rhine. Made it easy to walk across the street and catch the boat for a leisurely trip on the Rhine Limited free parking up the hill by the train station. Breakfast was plentiful, try the veggie scramble eggs with a great blend of Indian spices! The black tea was just okay. The room was adequate! We did not stay in the room long for there were many adventures in St. Gore areas or in one of the nearby villages.

Fabulous views
Worth paying for Rhein view room. Continental breakfast is included. The best reliable and quick wifi we have ever had in a hotel and free too. the location is excellent right on the Rhein across road from the KD boats for a day trip or minutes fron the station giving you great access to the whole of the Middle Rhein area.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and fresh with a balcony overlooking the Rhine.I was with my 2 teenage sons and had a separate attached ensuite giving me a bit of privacy. Bathroom was so clean and modern.Breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast I ever had. Friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel!

Well maintained family-run hotel
I stayed here for one night in the room for 3 people. It is a fairly typical hotel for the region - small, family run, in an old building but kept up meticulously. The owners are fluent English speakers and thus very helpful to out of town guests. The 3 person room is well designed for 3 people - one main room with your standard hotel layout, and then a small side room with a twin bed and desk. The whole hotel is extremely well maintained with brand new bathrooms, but slightly dated (but again clean & well maintained) furniture. The town itself is cute for a couple of nights, convenient to castles and boat trips, but not as upscale as towns 5-10km up the river. More than a night or two and you would be a bit bored by St. Goar.

location directly on the main road, advantage ferry to St. Goarshausen and tourist boats up and down the Rhein stop directly opposite hotel. The foreign owners were hands-on, very accommodating, friendly and always there to assist wherever possible. Buffet Breakfast good. the two nights were enjoyable. to be recommended
