Laika offers a gorgeous, green property with quiet, convenient, well-appointed rooms. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff are accommodating, kind, welcoming. Hats off ti Santosh who helped me settle in and assisted me as I left.

A home away from home. I really enjoyed my stay at Laika. The staff is very welcoming and attentive, while the location is also great; tucked away in a little side street from the main road. There was some construction noise from across the street while I was there, but when that's done it will be super quiet. Would definitely recommend!

Bon accueil et bonne écoute de la part de la jeune femme et du jeune homme qui s'occupaient de beaucoup de choses lors de mon passage. La chambre est à la fois simple dans sa finition et bien équipée (clim silencieuse, bouilloire, ...). Pour ceux qui ont le sommeil léger, attention aux chambres qui donnent côté route car malgré l'éloignement on entend beaucoup le bruit de la circulation. Idem avec un duo de chiens qui visiblement dorment la journée et se chauffent les cordes vocales la nuit. L'hôtel est bien gardé. Le quartier est sans grand intérêt le soir mais la proximité du centre ville est un plus.

Not recommended
While our room was fine, we were disappointed in our stay. Had this been a 2 star hotel, we would have understood. But we had higher expectations of cleanliness at a 4-star hotel, even in India. First the sink and shower drains in our room were clogged. The next day, all the water that went down the sink drain leaked onto the floor. We raised this issue with the staff and he either didn't understand, could not fix it or did not care. Either way, we had to use our towels to mop up the floor constantly. There was also mold on the walls in the bathroom. Breakfast was very limited and they included cold leftovers left on the table from other guests. The cook (who was also the person who couldn't fix the sink or our non-working tv) continually coughed as he prepared food. It was pretty unappetizing and really unsanitary. We would not stay at Laika again.

A localização do Hotel é excelente do ponto de vista que esta próximo da estação de metro Trinity, próximo ao Garuda Mall e tambem ao MG Mall, restaurantes locais e franquias (Pizza Hut e Dominos e tambem um restaurante italiano com ótimas opções de pasta) e tambem Starbucks. A equipe do hotel é muito atenciosa, o café da manhã ótimo! O local do hotel é um pouco escondido, mas, o que torna ideal para não ter barulhos do trânsito, pela manhã é possível ouvir o canto dos pássaros! Com certez me hospedaria novamente.

Quaint, charming place in city centre
A nice place to relax. If you are planning to relax with a book or plain unwind this is the place. It has character. This is not the place for a five star stay with room service but is definitely comfortable. Inexpensive and worth a stay.

The location and the stay was more than pleasant and had a goodnight sleep. Breakfast could have been better with some options. But other than that i loved the stay.

Lovely Homestay near Trinity Circle
This Boutique Hotel is close to Metro, shops, MG Road and affordable restaurants.\ Ajit and Laika keep a very beautiful house open for travellers. Enjoy.\ I was disappointed as I didn't get a reply from them with my query about transport from the airport, two and a half months before arriving..... and couldn't sleep one night as one of the neighbours had a loud TV on until after midnight....so ask for a room to the back! Breakfast ok.

Drop in standards
We had stayed at Laika's about a year and a half ago and had a pleasant experience. Laika was there personally as we arrived and was welcoming and warm. I had left a wonderful review post that visit (upon her request). Unfortunately this time round, my husband and I were disappointed to see the deterioration of the place. The sheets were stained, towels over-used and bathroom a little tired. Breakfast was laid out in the morning and guests were meant to help themselves to whatever left-overs were on the table. I feel that the place seems busy enough and well-frequented by travellers for the owners to at least update some of the tired fixtures and fittings. We desperately needed wifi connection (as promised on the website) and it just so happened that during our stay they had issues with their internet connection - the staff were a little indifferent to our needs and apologised saying they are waiting on the technician...understandably, but it didn't help our situation. Sad to say, standards have definitely dropped.

Peaceful B&B with a welcoming staff
I was in Bangalore with my family for a short stay. Laika is peaceful and has a attached garden with chirping birds which was so relaxing. Breakfast was freshly made and you could request them to tweak it a little bit. Its an assortment of eggs, omlette, toast, south Indian food, fruits and coffee. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. My only request to Laika would be to provide basic necessities in the bathroom like toothpaste, shampoo (they provided a couple of sachets) and conditioner and replenish the soap. The staff was accomodating with our check out time considering we were jet lagged. We even left our bags outside in their office for the time we went for lunch and picked them up on our way to the airport. Will be staying here next time we are back in Bangalore.

A lovely, calm oasis
LAIKA is a very relaxing place to stay, quiet, clean, peaceful.. Even with the sound of laughing children from a nearby school.. Definitely recommend... Two visits because it was so comfortable.

homely environment
we stayed in a 1st floor room for 2 nights. atmosphere were more home like rather a hotel which was great as we expected. manager and staff were kind and placed in a calm environment.

Beautiful,safe place
I am a woman, arriving solo for the first time in Bangalore. It was so nice to be picked up at the airport by someone who I had emailed with - holding my name on a card at 2:00 in the morning. The B and B was extremely clean and beautiful. Small and friendly with excellent service for breakfast. Laika and Aget helped with travel and arrangements to Mysore. Even saving me on a sightseeing tour. I couldn't have felt more comfortable and cared for

Hotel with a heart
We were in Bangalore during the protest over the water dispute. During the stay, it was difficult to get any taxis or Uber to get around and even to the airport. But the staff in Laika Hotel made all the efforts to assist us and other guests especially Laika and her husband who were very accommodating. Truly a home away from home.

Le meilleur rapport qualité / prix depuis très longtemps. Un cadre reposant, une chambre à laquelle il ne manque rien. Un Boutique Hotel de prestation supérieure. Un petit-déjeuner local ou international à votre convenance mais excellent quoi qu'il en soit. J'y retournerais sans hésiter.

Our first trip to India. First two nights were at a business hotel. We thought it was ok. But moving to Laika's transformed our India experience. Everything about the place was comfortable and welcoming. We felt ourselves decompress and relax immediately. Because of the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff and ms. Laika herself we got to see and experience much more than we would have on our own. Location is great. Brewery spa and nice restaurants nearby. We missed the bike tour but plan to come back. Historical sights and art museums not far. We loved staying here!

A short stay with Laika
I had planned to stay at Laika for quite sometime but had been distracted by the big hotels for the intervening period. Now I have and will certainly come/go back. Nice rooms, nice atmosphere, great breakfasts (and thank goodness not the same one each day, which can drive me potty at BnB places) and lovely decor. Shame the wifi was such a problem - yes supplier issue but either no connection or next to none meant using my portable wifi for the 3 nights.

War hier schon öfters, würde auch immer wieder buche und nach der Renovierung wird es sicher noch schöner. Das Frühstück ist großartig und auch für Meetings ist in den grßzügigen Afendhaltsräumen immer ein Platz zu finden.

Outstanding boutique hotel in quiet area
From the moment we arrived at this outstanding boutique hotel we knew we had made the right decision. The rooms were tastefully furnished and comfortable, the staff always helpful and friendly. And Laika herself went out of her way to make this one of the most interesting and pleasurable holidays we have had. She took a personal interest in all her guests, helping them with anything they required. Her passion for the history, the beauty and the people of her fascinating and diverse country helped to enrich our experience and left us wanting to return as soon as possible. Highly recommended.

Recommended B&B in downtown Bangalore
B&B style small hotel. Interior is in good condition. Furnishing and decoration completed with flair. Opportunity to chat with host and other guests, unlike in larger hotels. Location is slightly hard to find (but many things are in bangalore).

A Gem in Bangalore!!
The Laika Boutique Stay was lovely! Laika herself is a wonderful woman and made us feel at home. The hotel is just 500m from MG Road and off a side street so it's quiet but near the action. Each room is about as clean as I could ever imagine. When I got there I immediately felt 'at home' and that's saying a lot as I was sick when I arrived. After a good night's sleep, we were made a perfect breakfast by the staff and treated like kings. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Bangalore!!

A Home away from Home!
The eponymous Laika Boutique Home Stay, run efficiently by owner Laika & her two sons, is a delightful place to stay in the very heart of Bangalore! Located just behind MG Road, a stone's throw from the main shopping district, the metro is easily accessible. The 3-storey Bungalow, tastefully decorated with artifacrs & knick-knacks, houses 8 well-appointed rooms. Breakfast is home-cooked and served hot as you sit at the table. Ms Laika & her sons are always at hand to take care of any needs & offer their assistance. Truly a home-away-from-home experience!
