We had no A/C in our room. We discovered it the first night of our stay but the front desk goes home at 8 pm. We then reported it in the morning of the next day but we were not given a new room until 9 pm the second day. We had to move all of our things. The furniture has stains and some of it is broken. Almost all of the plants are plastic. When we complained, the manager told us they didn’t care if we gave them a bad review.

Perfect hotel for visiting Heidelberg
Lovely charming hotel conveniently located near the old bridge to the old town. The staff were really friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel is not cheap, located good,promising parking but leading you to park in a public car park The rooms look good in pictures but in an uncomfortable reality, the heating did not work .and nobody explain to us how to operate it, simply not worth the money.

The staff was very professional and friendly. We would love to visit this wonderful boutique hotel in the future - hopefully, for a longer stay this time. My only recommendation would be regarding the parking. To the staff: Thanks so much for everything!

The location is fantastic and by far the best thing about the hotel. You’re 5 mins into the old town and the views from the hotel across to the Schloss, the river and the old town are breathtaking. The decor and the style of the hotel is also very on point. The room was very clean and spacious. However there is a lot wrong with this hotel. We felt the hotel is trying to be something it isn’t. This hotel is charging 5* prices but doesn’t have the facilities not the staff to back this up. 1) There wasn’t any parking on site when we arrived and the gentlemen who hung around waiting for us to get our belongings together was the most unprofessional I’ve EVER come across. We are certainly not prude, and perhaps it was the casual way we were dressed but you certainly don’t expect an employee of a hotel like this to start using the F word whilst having a conversation with you! BIG NO 2) We weren’t advised there was a Spa or a Hot Tub/Sunbathing area outside when we checked in so we went looking for them on the second day and we were followed around and made to feel very uncomfortable like we were doing something wrong. 3) Breakfast is overpriced at €25. Our advice is save your money and buy from the old town. The only warm option on the menu is ‘eggs’ and when my poached eggs arrived they were so overcooked. 4) The spa is private (tiny) so was booked up and the outside hot tub area is difficult to find, unorganised and a little scruffy. We wouldn’t go back.

We are also glad to read that you liked the décor and style of the hotel as well as the very clean and spacious suite. We always try to be the best host and provide the best service. Furthermore we are proud to guide our guests through our special hotel and escort them to their suite or to another place of the hotel. If we could not meet our standard and your expectations during your stay we are really sorry about that. We have forward your feedback to our staff already to improve and train our team. We are afraid that the breakfast, the private spa and the location of hot tub did not meet your expectations. Our breakfast is served on the table and it has various items in high quality to explore and our staff is always helpful and would not refuse if somebody request anything special. The private spa has a sauna and a sanarium as well as sanitary facilities. It can be booked for relaxation for 2 persons. Usually our guests enjoy the privacy and intimate time. Our hot tub can be used upon request. Our team is happy to uncover the hot tub and place towels as well as drinks upon request. We hope that you enjoyed your stay and the beautiful city of Heidelberg and we can get a chance to welcome you again with us to show you our improvements.

Disappointing stay
Our room was dirty. We had a cockroach on the bed. And a large spider web was hanging over the bed. Room lacked privacy and comfort. We were very disappointed and canceled our stay to move to another hotel

Excellent location across the bridge from the busy and noisy town centre. Amazing view to the castle and the old town. Beautiful rooms. We stayed with 18 months baby and it was convenient to stay in a family suite, where she could sleep in a separate room. We did not use the little kitchenette, but it was good to have it. Breakfast was very nice. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the hotel to any type of travelers.

This property is directly across the river and a short walk to the city and to Philosophers Walk. We loved the views of the city and castle from our window. The facilities are kept immaculate. They have a Nespresso machine and coffee in your small well-appointed kitchenette. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and the shower is a treat with its generous water flow/pressure (Reminiscent ofvthe showers at Frederiksbad in Baden Baden). I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel to get over my jet lag while enjoying a beautiful town.

We loved our stay at this súper chic boutique hotel that is every bit as special as the pictures suggest. The staff were welcoming, helpful and professional. Breakfast in the lounge was a treat for the senses. The hotel is very close to the Philosophers’ Walk and the Castle. We enjoyed both, particularly the guided tour of the castle.

Great location close to bridge to Heidelberg Castle area and restaurants. However, our room was difficult to get to and separated from the rest of the hotel. Maybe that's what they consider a deluxe room. Its probably larger than the rooms in the main building but did not have air conditioning or ventilation, just a portable air conditioner or ventilator of some sort; didn't really cool the hot room much. Didn't opt for the expensive breakfast option ($25 euros per person) and instead used the in room coffee machine and had a nice breakfast in one of the nearby restaurants as we headed to the castle.

The views were spectacular! Room 20 main building was our favorite! Garden and jacuzzi access with castle views was a bonus. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Extra bonus, we had central AC for the beautiful but very warm Fall season visit. Reserve a parking space if you have a car, as parking is limited!

Great location - a very short walk across the bridge to all the stores and restaurants but far enough away to avoid the crowds and noise. We had a junior suite with a balcony and the view was amazing.

Amazing hotel and staff. Beautiful town. Hotel is even movie than photos. Great location. Very spacious and comfortable room- I was in the superior suite. This town has lots of bugs and spiders and no screens on windows so be aware of that.

Lovely, restful suites on the banks of the Neckar
A very nice property directly overlooking the river, with incredible views of the old city and Heidelberg Castle. The staff are fantastic - very friendly and more than happy to provide recommendations on places to visit in Heidelberg and the surrounding area.

What an amazing view for our honeymoon! The room was clean with wonderful amenities and a beautiful view of the castle. All of the employees were friendly and highly accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and offered multiple options. We would stay there again!

Simply the best hotel ever
This hotel is on the bus line from the train station. No metros needed in this city. The hotel is elegant, breakfast was wonderful. Staff is so friendly. Hotel is decorated very nicely. Amazing stay. Wished we had more time. Junior suite facing the castle was amazing view.
