They were a deposit 50 pounds per each person. We arrived little early but we could not check in until 3pm. They have a few locker so we could not hold our lugagges. we asked for holding our luggages, at first, they just talked to use locker. Some staffs were not kind(except man). so we were little annoyed. Room is fine. but restroom was little dirty so I found some small bugs in restroom.

Very nice apartment
I stayed one night at this apartment. It's location is very close to china town and many restaurant which are open late time. Staff also kind to me. The taxi price to airport is around 25pounds.

The sofa bed was absolutely terrible and in no condition to sleep on as all you could feel was it’s springs sticking out and aching your back, I was unable to sleep all night due to being in pain and woke up with aches and bruises all over my back. Also in the bathroom you can’t press the button to flush the toilet we had to use the end of the spoon. Despite not sleeping at all the service in reception was exceptional! Vi hadde et flott opphold. Veldig fint å bo i leilighet når vi var tre som reiste sammen, i tillegg lå hotellet sentralt til i forhold til restauranter, butikker og jernbanestasjonen.

The bar opposite plays extremely loud music until 4am in Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights. The staff would have know this but didn’t tell us at check in. The next day we were told we should have moved rooms because of the noise. Request a room that is not on the courtyard side

Good first impressions, wasn’t easy to find but rang hotel and they gave good direction. Apartment was spacious and clean on arrival, some furniture was a bit tatty but clean. Got in the shower and after a few mins the hot water ran out ( I had shampoo in my hair) my partner tried to call On the intercom reception but it didn’t work so rang on the mobile. We were told I could boil a kettle and wash my hair that way or someone could come have a look!! I got out the shower and hid in the bedroom whilst someone came to look, he said we had to wait for the water to heat up 30-40 mins. This is not very impressive at all!!!! After finally having a shower and getting to bed even after being on the quiet floor, there was so much noise out in the courtyard and on the corridor, banging on our doors, shouting people running up and down several disturbances in the night. We have a 2 year old who we were trying to get back to sleep and make sure he didn’t wake up crying to make noise. We had the worst nights sleep. ot impressive at all and very expensive for the treatment we received. We informed reception of the issues we had and we were told they were sorry and could keep our car in the car park (which you have to pay for anyway) for longer.....no thanks. We had treated ourselves being the day after our wedding but our experience was awful and would never stay in one of these again. Please contact me to arrange some form of compensation.

The room smelt of cooking the chairs and settess were ripped up the floor was sticky in the kitchen. But the bedrooms were ok and the bed was comfortable just need to revamp and decorate the Living room area.

Good location within 5 minutes walking to Newstreet station. What I did not like is that I was made to deposit £50 on checking in and promised if I did damage anything I will be refunded at check put. When I asked for my money at checkout I was told it will be credited to my account but will take "few days". Four weeks later they have not refunded by £50

Dear Guest, So sorry about the inconvenience with the security deposit. Please be advised that when you pay the security deposit by card, the money doesn't go out from your account. The money is still there, but you cannot use that amount of money until it becomes available again. The day you check out the security deposit is released from our part, but in how many days becomes available it depends by the policy of each bank. From our experience, debit cards takes longer than credit cards to become available. In our property, the security deposit can be paid cash also. Then, when you check-out, we only need some minutes to check the apartment. If everything is ok, the money will be given back to you right away. I hope your security deposit became available by now and once again I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Kind Regards, Front Office Team

Fairly basic but a great location
Staycity Arcadian is in a great location less than 10 minutes walk from New Street Station. Brilliant for Chinatown, the canals and the city centre shops. It is pretty basic accommodation, but to be fair it was clean and the room was a good size. We didn’t use the kitchen but it was well equipped and there was also a washing machine. The beds were comfortable, the sofa bed okay. All of the staff were great and very pleasant and helpful. Down sides: the t.v. was terrible, the reception so bad it was unwatchable, the internet was so slow it was pointless and the shower had two settings - volcano and surface of the sun! We spent little time in the room, out exploring the city so it did the job for us and at a reasonable price.

Poor signage difficult to find entrance . Very neglected. Lot of noice from rooms in early hours, TV not working.

Great place but new furnitures are needed fork
This place has become my second home in UK. I’ve stayed here before a few times. It’s an excellent location. The only issue is with the condition of the furniture. This particular room had terrible chairs and sofa bed. Anything that has leather are all peeling off. All rooms should be redone with new or repaired furniture. Other than that it’s a great place especially the balcony

Earplugs needed
The hotel is in an amazing location in the centre of Birmingham. The kitchenette area was clean and well stocked with everything you would need.The facility desperately needs a makeover though but the room had flies in ugh... floor was suspiciously sticky underfoot. The sofa bed needs replacing as if you haven't got a bad back already you will have after a night on that.The hotel did not inform us of the noise levels... There are nightclubs below and the noise does not stop until 4am. We as a family got no sleep and had to go out and purchase ear plugs for the second night which did not block the noise completely... That's how loud it was. Upon checking out we mentioned the noise and was informed that there are rooms that are quieter and that you can request them but no mention on their website so how would you know !!! Overall it wasnt bad for the price.

Nice apartment, wrong location
The apartment is great. Very clean and has every amenity you need. Staff were very polite. The problem was outside noise. Noisy guests on a balcony until 2.30 the first night. The next night we were kept awake by the music at the nightclub until 4.00am. Overall a great apartment in a bad location.

Due to the busy area outside, we are not able to control the level of noise coming from the night clubs, however we have very strict noise policies for the comfort of our guests and do security patrol walks every hour during the nights. At our reception you can request a quiet apartment facing the court-yard where the noise from outside would not be heard. We look forward to welcoming you again soon!
