Thank you to Michael and his family for a wonderful stay. The property is in a fantastic location and Michael provided excellent advice on walking routes and points of interest. The breakfast was fabulous. This was one of my all times favourite stays away.

Great accommodation in Brugge.
Lovely old building, 399 years old. Great location. Massive bedroom, beautifully furnished. Very friendly owners / staff. Breakfasts were memorable.

Unser verlängertes Wochenende in Brügge (3 Nächte) war einfach top, was zu einem großen Teil an der Unterkunft und den erstklassigen Gastgebern lag. Schon vor der Anreise bekamen wir telefonisch erste Hinweise zu Anreise und Parkmöglichkeiten. Im Hotel angekommen, erhielten wir einen Stadtplan, auf dem Michael unseren Vorlieben entsprechend Restaurants, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Spazierwege einzeichnete / markierte. Der Tag startete mit einem leckeren Frühstück, das für jeden Tisch individuell und frisch in der Küche zubereitet wurde. Smalltalk und weitere Tipps für die Tagesgestaltung waren dabei inklusive - und das Ganze in mindestens vier verschiedenen Sprachen ;). Für die Abende bekamen wir das Angebot, dass für uns ein Tisch in umliegenden Restaurants reserviert werden könne. Für den Samstag haben wir dies so angenommen - das hat alles prima geklappt und die Empfehlung hat für uns voll ins Schwarze getroffen. Während des Aufenthaltes vergewisserten sich die Gastgeber immer wieder, dass alles in Ordnung ist / ob wir noch Zusatzwünsche haben etc. Vielen Dank!

Great Accommodation
I have been using Hotels.com for my bookings over a decade and this is my first 10 star rating. A very deserving one. Huis T’Schaep is a family run bed and breakfast. This beautiful listed building is very unique with interesting fine detailing you would normally find in churches. It’s location is very convenient to access the train station and visit some of the most important landmarks such as the Notre Dame of Bruges. Michael and his family go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. We have been upgraded (free of charge) to a beautiful suite and have been very spoiled with the excellent choices for breakfast. The recommendations we received from Michael for sightseeing & souvenir shopping were spot on. Overall, it was a very pleasurable stay. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful stay
Our stay was beyond expectations. The room and location were excellent and our host Michael and his wife were gracious, kind and helpful. Our hostess even let me check out her marvellous kitchen. The history of Bruges was just another part of our stay at this magnificent old house. Thank you Michael and family for being such wonderful hosts. We will be back some day. Great place to stay in Bruges.
This is an excellent B&B just 5 mins walk to the main square. Parking is 5 mins walk. Suggest dropping bags then parking. One of the best beds we have experienced. Bathroom excellent with bath and walk in shower. TV had BBC 1 and 2. Breakfast was a la carte and excellent with lots of choices. My only comment is this is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. First floor is a standard staircase, second floor is quite difficult, although they will carry your luggage. There is no lift. Overall I can recommend this as a great place to stay.

Perfect B&B in Bruges
Great central location very quiet but walking distance to everything, breakfast was perfect. The host family are lovely we would definitely like to return.

This bed and breakfast is truly exceptional. Location is short walk to town and train station. The interior of this home Has beautiful tiles, wall paintings and stain glass. Ask for room w stain glass of Pope. You will be treated to a large beautiful room with beautiful stain glass window. Breakfast was personalized to your request. Truly amazing.

Beautiful Home with Great Hosts!
This home has many interesting features of stained glass, tiles, woodwork, and furniture that give you a feeling of history. The parking garage is very close, the main parts of town are all within 5-10 min walk, the in-house breakfast is great, and the hosts will help guide you to the best restaurants/attractions in town. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to stay at Huis ‘t Schaep once again.

Michael and his wife Nazia made sure all our needs were met during our stay. We loved our breakfasts to jumpstart the day. He helped plan our travel itinerary to maximize our stay.Property location is close to points of interest, yet tucked away from the beaten path. Public parking close by. It's a home away ftom home.

部屋は独特の雰囲気だが、綺麗だった。夜も静かでよく眠ることができた。オーナー夫婦は常にコミュニケーションを取ろうとしてきたが、多少それが行き過ぎと感じることもあった。朝食はビュッフェではなく、ハムアンドエッグやシリアル、ヨーグルトなど自分の好みに合わせて注文することができた。Wifiが全く繋がらなかったのが残念。

Wish we could give it more than 5 stars!
After reading the reviews we came with high expectations--and they were exceeded! The hotel is beautiful, charming, and immaculately clean. It used to be an artist's home and studio and so is very historic but is in truly excellent condition--hard to come by and so is a gem. The property is a 5 or so minute walk to the city centre but tucked away on a quiet (but very safe too!!) side street so we definitely felt away from the tourist crowd. Service was exceptional. Room was cleaned daily and breakfast was delicious, healthy, and cooked to order. I have a wheat allergy and am quite careful what I eat in general, and Michael was super accommodating and even offered me buckwheat crackers as a snack to take with me during the day. Would definitely stay again!!

Séjour parfait
Nous avons passé quelques jours du 26 au 29 octobre 2017 dans ce lieu. Tout y était parfait : l'accueil, la chambre, le petit déjeuner, les équipements, et les environs. La maison est située au centre-ville. On y accède facilement à pieds depuis la gare de Bruges. Nous avons été surclassés avant notre arrivée. La suite Renoir est magnifique et très spacieuse. Elle dispose d'une grande salle de bains équipée d'une baignoire et d'une douche. Un sèche-cheveux est à disposition dans la salle de bains. Le lit double, très confortable, est électrique et permet de choisir sa position préférée. Un espace salon permet de se reposer une fois rentrés de nos balades. Sur le bureau, on retrouve une machine à café, une carafe d'eau, une bouteille d'eau et des petits gâteaux en cas de besoin. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et cuisiné à la carte. Au choix : salé, sucré, ou les deux. Mickael et sa sœur ont été des hôtes parfaits, aux petits soins avec nous. Ils nous ont indiqué les lieux à visiter et ont pris le temps de nous raconter l'histoire de la maison. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

Wonderful location in the heart of Brugge, Belgium
This B&B is outstanding. The historic building is amazing with leaded glass windows, carved furniture, and beautiful hand painted tiles through out. The food Nazarine cooks for breakfast is delicious. The variety is nice with fruit, bread, meat and cheese, eggs, pancakes, juice, ond of course nice coffee. Michael looks after his guests with the ut-most care. He offers to pre-book meals and make arrangements for you before you even arrive. He makes sure you have directions each day before heading out of the B&B, and will make dinner rsvps for you also. We had a medical emergency shortly after arriving and Michael made arrangements to get us to the hospital with some good advice about Belgian hospitals. I was able to stay on as my husband was admitted to hospital. Each day Michael and Nazarine made sure that I was OK and helped me in many ways.

Amazing hotel and great location
This hotel makes me mad, because I am now ruined for all other accommodations. Walking into such a beautiful building, you are greeted by friendly staff. They will help you plan your stay and provide you with many great recommendations. The hotel is quite old, but in immaculate condition. Everything is so well maintained and clean. Best breakfast of our trip was also at this hotel. Stay here!

Amazing, beautiful b&b in near central Bruges
This B&B is beautiful, a listed building both exterior and interior. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite with four-poster bed (with electric controls to raise and lower the top part of the mattresses), free-standing bath, huge shower, and separate lounge, kettle and coffee maker, and access to a communal terrace. Michael the host is very friendly and helpful, giving us clear instructions and great recommendations for where to eat, walk, cycle, visit, and anything else we wanted to do. He had time for us, which is so nice in this busy day and age. The B&B is a 15 minute walk from the station and convenient for everything we wanted to do within 15 minutes walk. The breakfast is great, he just kept bringing out food, fresh bread and pastries, fruit salad, yogurt, home-made things and freshly cooked full English

Superb personalised accomodation
Huis 't Schaep is the most fabulous place to stay. It is a private house on a regular street in Bruges close to the centre and a short walk from the railway station. We only had one night but we picked the best place to stay in all Bruges. This is a magnificent medieval house with original features throughout - it is like staying in a room of the 15th century with modern facilities. Our host was wonderfully attentive and looked after us very well. A lovely home cooked breakfast was perfect in the morning. We hope to visit again soon and highly recommend Huis 't Schaep

An absolute gem!!
This guesthouse has to be seen to be believed. Stained glass, ceramics, minute attention to detail and staff who obviously love the place and welcome you like an old friend. Cannot recommend too highly.

Great B&B
We couldn't have asked for a better B&B in Bruges. The location was great, at a walking distance to everything. The rooms were awesome (we had the Couck Suite) and what can I say about the breakfast? We couldn't eat lunch until late afternoon it was so fulfilling. They are also very accommodating for gluten allergies.

Short but perfect stay in Bruges
The manager and his wife made us very welcome. They went out of their way to help us make the most of our 24 hour stay in this beautiful town. Our room was exquisitely furnished. We will certainly be revisiting.

Excellent location
My wife and I found this B & B to be a in a superb location for access to all areas, 5 minutes walk (Max) from the Tsand underground car park, which has plenty of lifts. Check out the Lobster Pot new fish restaurant newly opened approx 3 weeks ago which is 50 meters down the road from the B & B, excellent food and very nice and friendly staff.

Charming and well located B&B in Ghent
Charming B&B however you should be aware that some of the rooms (like ours) are up several flights of stairs with no elevator and no one to assist with luggage. Also the owner insists that you leave your shoes at the front door and wear slippers in the house which is a little unusual in a hotel. Fantastic location. Very nice breakfast.

Beautifully restored medieval building
Wonderful stay at this medieval building with beautiful period features dating back to C17th-18th. Centrally located, close to all sites. Clean, comfortable room with original C19th stained-glass window, beautifully furnished with four-poster bed. Host Michael and his family are so friendly, attentive and welcoming. We were so well looked-after, all our needs catered for. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and made to order, served in a lovely, bright room. Cannot fault this B&B, it was one of the highlights of our trip.
